Moviegoers have particularly been thinking about who would step into the iconic role of Wolverine after Hugh Jackman. However, as there have been very few inputs regarding that, some people started to make fan art of their dream castings to better experience the probabilities. A fan-made concept design imagined The Kingsman actor Taron Egerton as Hugh Jackman’s successor to play Wolverine in the MCU.

When the 2023 Emmy Award nominations were announced back in July, it was expected that shows like "The Last of Us" and "Succession" would dominate the playing field. What was surprising to many fans, however, was that the Netflix juggernaut "Stranger Things" was shut out of the series and acting categories. Breakout star Joseph Quinn stole the show with his turn as metalhead Eddie Munson, while Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield was at the center of arguably one of the best scenes in the series' entire run. Well, the reason for the so-called snubbing of "Stranger Things" has nothing to do with the quality of work, and everything to do with eligibility rules.
Back in June 2022, the TV Academy finally got rid of the "hangover episode rule," which made it so series that debuted before the May 31 cut-off could include episodes that aired after the eligibility deadline, but before nomination voting,...

The fourth season of "Stranger Things" was the definition of overstuffed; with multiple genres and settings and a sprawling cast of characters, the show stretched the boundaries of epic storytelling almost beyond its limitations. With more than a year of retrospect, some season 4 plotlines are forgettable, while others are still lodged firmly in our hearts and minds.
But no plot was as universally embraced as Max's, the heartbreaking depression storyline that put actor Sadie Sink's name in award show contention and catapulted Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" back up the charts. Max entered season 4 feeling broken, plagued by grief and survivor's guilt over her brother Billy's (Dacre Montgomery) death. In the fourth episode's emotional climax, she faced off against a hallucinated version of Billy possessed by the monster Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), and it was the most powerful moment of the season if not the entire series.

A Kentucky woman has claimed that she ended her marriage and lost $10,000 due to a scammer pretending to be "Stranger Things" star Dacre Montgomery. In a May 17 episode of the YouTube series "Catfished," the woman, whose name is McKala, says she met someone claiming to be Montgomery on an online forum for artists. The two "hit it off, but of course I'm suspicious from the get-go, until he starts doing things that make me believe that he is who he is," she says.
Apparently, the Montgomery impersonator convinced her she was talking to the actual "Stranger Things" star by telling her to watch the "Stranger Things" season four episode "Dear Billy" before it premiered. "He showed up in that episode," she tells "Catfished." "I was like, well, who else would know that?" She also says the scammer sent her poems that seemed similar to Montgomery's writing in his 2020 book "Dkmh: Poems by Dacre Montgomery.

A Stranger Things fan from Kentucky thought she was in a personal relationship with star Dacre Montgomery, subsequently leaving her husband and spending over $10,000 on the scammer. In a Catfished YouTube series, the Kentucky woman McKayla admitted she left her husband after falling in love with someone online that she believed to be the 28-year-old Australian actor. Although they “just really hit it off” while chatting in an online forum for creatives, she was still “suspicious from the get-go.” However, the person she was chatting with began “doing things that make me believe” he was really the star. “I am obsessed with Stranger Things,” McKayla said. “[His character] Billy is just this bully. He kind of comes in, tries to dominate, which is totally unlike his actual personality.” McKayla shared that the person told her he and his model girlfriend, Liv Pollock, were about to break up due to her controlling behavior.

The breakout “Stranger Things” star made a surprise return to the hit Netflix series in Season 4 despite his character Billy being killed in the previous season. His appearance was brief, but it provided the actor with a unique filming opportunity and the chance to put a final touch on a role that means a great deal to him. “It’s a culmination of hundreds of hours of work and really living in character in many ways,” says Montgomery. “I think it’s finally my year,” are the famous last words of Eddie Munson in “Stranger Things,” but unfortunately actor Joseph Quinn will have to wait a little bit longer.
While, at this point, it feels like the kids of Netflix’s ’80s-set sci-fi series will be grandparents before Season 5, with the WGA strike delaying production and the general speed in which the Duffer brothers have delivered seasons. Nonetheless, elements of last summer’s massively popular Season 4 Vol. 2 double-episodes will be angling for consideration from the Television Academy this year. But Emmy rules means most stars of “Stranger Things” aren’t eligible for this year’s ballots.
In June 2022, the TV Academy eliminated the “hangover episode rule,” which allowed a series that premieres current-season episodes after the May 31 eligibility deadline but before the start of nomination round-voting to submit for Emmy consideration.

Typically at the Emmy Awards, a TV show is judged on a full season as it aired entirely within a single eligibility period. However, in extremely rare cases, a drama or comedy will have what’s known as “orphaned” episodes that air outside of the cut-off date. That’s exactly why Season 4 of The Duffer Brothers‘ sci-fi megahit “Stranger Things” is eligible in two consecutive Emmy cycles, last year and this year. Gold Derby has exclusively learned which 13 categories Netflix is submitting for consideration at the 2023 Emmys (see below).
To recap, the first seven episodes of “Stranger Things 4” streamed on May 27, 2022 and thus competed at last year’s Emmys, where it nabbed 13 nominations and won five. But the last two episodes streamed on July 1, 2022, a full month after the eligibility period ended. TV academy rules stipulate that those two orphaned episodes are now eligible at the 2023 Emmys, but with a catch.

Legendary Entertainment’s remake of the infamous 1978 box office hit Faces of Death (get it Here) is now filming in Louisiana, and Deadline reports that Jermaine Fowler of Sorry to Bother You, The Drop, Coming 2 America, and the upcoming horror comedy The Blackening has been cast in the movie. “Cocaine Bear” and “Euphoria” actor Aaron Holliday has joined a remake of “Faces of Death” from “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” director Daniel Goldhaber. The project began filming on Monday in New Orleans.
Holliday will join cast members Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”) and Dacre Montgomery (“Stranger Things”), who Legendary had previously announced. Helmer Goldhaber’s most recent film “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” is currently on international release, from a script co-written with Isa Mazzei, a regular collaborator who co-wrote his first feature, “Cam,” in 2018.
Holliday recently broke out in Elizabeth Banks’ buzzy horror comedy “Cocaine Bear” for Universal Pictures. He stars in the Lord-Miller produced comedy-thriller alongside Keri Russell, Ray Liotta, Margo Martindale, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Holliday recently wrapped a leading role in James Kimball’s feature debut “For the Night,” alongside Will Block and Odessa A’zion. He also appeared in the Season 2 finale of HBO’s “Euphoria,...

Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira has addressed her decision to leave the acclaimed HBO drama following reports of a feud between her and showrunner Sam Levinson.
In August last year, the actor announced that she would not be returning as fan-favourite Kat in season three.
Many fans at the time expressed their disappointment on social media, arguing that her character “deserved better” after being given a smaller role in season two.
Rumours also emerged suggesting Ferreira and showrunner Sam Levinson had clashed on set. You can read The Independent’s timeline of the controversies surrounding the writer here.
Appearing on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast on Monday (3 April), Ferreira appeared to pour cold water on rumours of her alleged feud with Levinson.
“For me, when people ask me about season two, it’s usually they come at me with, like, I was some sort of victim to season two,” she said.

I never imagined I would someday be writing about a Faces of Death remake that has stars of well-known TV shows in its cast, and yet here we are. About two years ago, we heard that writer Isa Mazzei and director Daniel Goldhaber, the team that brought us the Netflix release Cam, had been hired to craft a remake of the infamous 1978 box office hit Faces of Death (get it Here) for Legendary Entertainment and producers Don Murphy and Susan Montford’s company Angry Films. A few weeks ago, Barbie Ferreira of the HBO series Euphoria and Dacre Montgomery of Netflix’s Stranger Things were cast in the remake. And now Deadline has broken the news that Josie Totah, who had a role in the recent Saved by the Bell revival, has also signed on to be in Faces of Death.

Legendary Entertainment is behind the Faces of Death relaunch, and as we recently learned, Dacre Montgomery (“Stranger Things”) and Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”) also star.
The original Faces of Death, released in 1978, is one of the most infamous films of all time, allegedly showcasing real footage of real death. In actuality, of course, much of the horrifying footage seen in Faces of Death is staged, with gory special effects often being paired up with real footage to create the illusion of gruesome reality. Early found footage, in other words.

Exclusive: Josie Totah (Saved By The Bell) has joined Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria) and Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things) in the “reimagining” of 1978 horror Faces Of Death, which will begin filming this month.

Barbie Ferreira, one of the breakouts from HBO’s Euphoria, and Stranger Things actor Dacre Montgomery are set to star in Faces of Death, a reimagining of the 1978 cult horror movie being made by Legendary.
Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber, the team behind the 2018 psychological thriller Cam and How to Blow Up a Pipeline, are writing and directing, respectively, the reimagining.

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is not looking forward to filming her final scenes for the show.
The actor has played Max Mayfield in the hit Netflix series since its third season.
Her character was at the source of the fourth season’s most memorable moment, which saw her saved from the villainous Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) thanks to her love of Kate Bush song “Running Up That Hill”.
The season didn’t end too well for Max, though, who fell into a coma after almost being killed by Vecna once again.

One of the long-beloved exercises in comic book fandom is picking out the dream movie versions of your favorite characters, and with the announcement of James Gunn's new "Superman" movie, the fancast wheels are spinning like mad. It's a major bummer that Henry Cavill, who played the Man of Steel in the DC Extended Universe, won't be back in the red cape and spandex for the new film, but since it's focusing on a much younger Clark Kent/Superman, it only makes sense to cast someone else. As Gunn and Peter Safran move away from the Dceu and form the new DC Universe (Dcu), they're going to have to recast a bunch of beloved characters, and it's probably good to rip the bandage off now. After all, we might end up with new versions of Wonder Woman, The Flash, or even Batman.

When "Stranger Things" launched in 2016, most of its cast were virtual unknowns. Aside from veteran stars like Winona Ryder, the show was the first leading role for many of its cast members, especially the younger kids. Part of what made the show work so well was the fact that all those young kids were supremely-talented. The Netflix hit asks a lot from its stars — lots of action, lots of emotion — and every member of the ever-growing ensemble is up to the task, which makes for a fun watch.
It's also a useful launching pad for further stardom. The series tends to take breaks between seasons — three years passed between Seasons 3 and 4 — leaving the cast free to pursue other acting opportunities. This raises their profiles, providing them a solid base from which to hopefully continue their careers after "Stranger Things" comes to an end with its fifth season. Unsurprisingly, a lot...

For the past two seasons of the Duffer Brothers' hit Netflix series "Stranger Things," Sadie Sink has stolen hearts as her tomboyish character Max Mayfield slowly became the Mvp of the show. From season 2 to the present (and with a fifth season left to go), Max has gone from arcade whiz to one of the most resilient members of "The Party" alongside Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and the gifted Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Together, the group goes up against the ever-growing borders of the extra-dimensional Upside Down and the villains that emerge from it.
Season 4 sees some of Sink's all-time favorite scenes for her character's evolution, she tells The Backstage. "Max has been such a huge part of my life," she adds, "and is almost like this other voice in my head that I can turn on and off.

Millie Bobby Brown appears to have changed her tune regarding a Stranger Things complaint.
Brown, who plays Eleven on the series, candidly called out its creators, the Duffer brothers, for failing to kill off many characters.
The actor, 18, said of the show earlier this year: “It’s way too big. Last night, we couldn’t even take one group picture because there was like 50 of us. I was like, ‘You need to start killing people off.’”
She went on: “The Duffer brothers are two sensitive Sallies that don’t want to kill anyone off. We need to be Game of Thrones. We need to have the mindset of Game of Thrones.”
However, in a new interview, Brown, who said it was “ridiculous” that the writers brought back David Harbour’s character Hopper, has now said that it “sucks” when her co-stars’ characters are killed off.
“Yeah, it sucks sometimes,” she told Et.

However, in a new interview, Brown, who said it was “ridiculous” that the writers brought back David Harbour’s character Hopper, has now said that it “sucks” when her co-stars’ characters are killed off.
“Yeah, it sucks sometimes,” she told Et.

Millie Bobby Brown is addressing some viral fan theories surrounding “Stranger Things”.
Et’s Rachel Smith spoke to Brown ahead of the release of Enola Holmes 2, where she shared her reaction to rumblings that Eddie Munson —who was killed in season 4 — could return as Vecna’s second in command when the beloved sci-fi series returns for season 5.
“I mean, it’s a good fan theory,” Brown said while still remaining tight-lipped about the show’s fifth season.
She also addressed some of “Stranger Things'” most controversial deaths, including Billy, who was killed off in season 3.
“Yeah, it sucks sometimes,” the 18-year-old actress admitted. “I loved Billy. I loved Dacre Montgomery, who was killed off in season 3. I had a really good relationship with him, so for me, it was really hard to let go of that. And the same thing with Papa in this season.”

Dacre Montgomery of the Netflix series Stranger Things and Vicky Krieps of M. Night Shyamalan’s Old have landed the lead roles in director Samuel Van Grinsven’s ghost story Went Up the Hill, which is currently in pre-production and will be filming in New Zealand. If the film’s title brings to mind the nursery rhyme about Jack and Jill going up the hill, it’s for good reason. Van Grinsven and co-writer Jory Anast have even named Montgomery and Krieps’ characters Jack and Jill.
Went Up the Hill has the following synopsis:
After being abandoned as a child, Jack (Montgomery) ventures to remote New Zealand to attend the funeral of his estranged mother and there meets her grieving widow, Jill (Krieps). His search for answers becomes dangerous when his mother’s ghost returns to inhabit both Jack and Jill, using each of their bodies to speak to the other,...
