In the five years since Man of Steel was first released to a divided response, things haven’t quite gone as planned for the Dceu, leaving the cinematic universe in a strange and uncertain position. Despite the involvement of Superman and Batman, recent projects like Justice League have failed to make devoted fans out of either critics or the public, suggesting that the franchise’s future may instead lie with relative newcomers of live-action cinema like Wonder Woman and Aquaman.
This raises the question of whether we’ll get another chance to revisit Clark Kent’s section of the universe anytime soon, and while Man of Steel 2 remains an ongoing possibility, Laurence Fishburne seems as unsure about what’s happening as we are. The actor who played Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has evidently heard the talk about the...

We last saw Henry Cavill suit up for his third appearance as Superman in November’s Justice League, which featured the Man of Steel reborn and given a new, brighter outlook. It left many fans hungry to see more of this traditional take on Supes but, due to the future of the Dceu still being figured out, we don’t really know when Cavill will be back in the red cape. That being said, new evidence suggests the actor might be preparing to return to the role fairly soon.
Hollywood personal trainer Mark Twight recently posted an image of Henry Cavill working out on Vero and captioned it: “365×3. Kal is unimpressed,” referring to the dog in the photo that, funnily enough, shares a name with Cavill’s on-screen alter ego Kal-El. But what’s the story here? Surely a guy like Henry likes to keep himself in shape all the time,...

As any Game of Thrones fan is distinctly aware of, Jason Momoa is already incredibly buff. But for his starring role in the upcoming Aquaman movie, the actor decided to add even more muscle to his frame.
The dad of two worked with trainer (and mountaineer) Mark Twight to come up with a training plan that would bulk up his chest and incorporate Momoa’s love of rock climbing. That, along with fight training to help him wield Aquaman’s trident, prepared Momoa for the role and maintain his 230-lb. body, which he discusses in Men’s Health‘s December cover story.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a naked and lost Henry Cavill! The fully clothed actor, 32, stopped by NBC's Late Night Tuesday as part of his press tour for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in theaters Friday. Cavill recently shared an Instagram video of himself going unrecognized in New York City's Times Square, despite wearing a Superman tee and posing in front of a massive billboard for the film. Ironically, anonymity worked in his favor a few ago after he was first cast as the superhero in 2013's Man of Steel. At the time, Cavill traveled to L.A. to meet with the blockbuster's director, Zack Snyder, as well as a new personal trainer, Mark Twight. "I had landed in L.A., dropped...

Always easy on the eyes, Henry Cavill is featured on the front of the September 2015 issue of Men's Health magazine.
The “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” stud shows off his chiseled physique, sporting a bushy beard and a cool, steely stare.
Henry’s trainer Mark Twight explained the thought process behind helping Cavill bulk up- “The task for that project was simple: make an average man look like a superhero and then keep him that way for six months. Simple, not easy. Stability requires a broad, solid foundation and that takes many months to build.”...

Batman-News spotted the following Instagram posts by Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious) and Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) yesterday, and as you can see, it appears as of they've been working out together for their respective roles as Wonder Woman and Aquaman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Gadot has of course been working out with Mark Twight, the man who helped get Henry Cavill into Superman shape, and the fact that she and Momoa appear to be in the exact same place can't be coincidence! It should be very interesting to see how their two characters interact in the movie, as there could be a reason that they're seemingly working out together...or they could have both just been there at different times on the exact same day. It's all speculation for now, but it's interesting to wonder regardless, wouldn't you agree? Share your thoughts below!

Zack Snyder used Gym Jones founder Mark Twight to train Henry Cavill into his Superman body. I’m sure there will be some special features on how Affleck’s training differs from Cavill’s.
Batman Vs. Superman will open in theaters May 6, 2016.

Recently, Gal Gadot has began the daunting task of transforming her body for the tentatively titled 'Batman vs. Superman' film, the anxiously awaited sequel to the critically controversial 'Man of Steel'. She has supposedly been spotted in her home country of Israel after an intense workout with personal trainer, Mark Twight, earlier this week. Twight reportedly has tweeted that he will be spending time in Isreal for this purpose. Skeptics of the model-turned-actress's ability to sufficiently transform her body for the role of comic book's most well known heroine, should be relieved to know that Twight was the fitness guru responsible for the physical training with Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon, and, Antje Traue before and during the filming of 'Man of Steel'. Though it appears from these pictures taken that time may not be on Gadot's side, the widely speculated "smaller role" she has,...

Even the people grumbling about Man Of Steel and its script and Henry Cavill's performance admitted that if there was one thing the movie nailed, it was the god-like presence of an all-powerful being, brought to vivid life through the efforts of Henry Cavill and Mark Twight in the gym. Why fix something that ain't broken, so Batman Vs Superman will further this great partnership to sculpt Cavill into Superman for the second time and he has been hard at work with Twight since August. Twight had accompanied Cavill to UK and Italy for the shoot of Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. They are now relocating back to the Salt Lake City facility of Gym Jones in the final stretch to devote their undivided attention to the movie. Cavill stopped by yesterday in Slc at a sports store with his girlfriend actress Gian Carano, to buy some shorts and workout gear.

Actors these days all seem to have impeccable pecs and abs of steel, and an increasing number of them may not be coming by their ripped physiques the all-natural way. According to a new story in The Hollywood Reporter, performance-enhancing drug (Ped) use is all the rage in Tinseltown -- including when it comes to prepping for a bulked-up role in a studio tentpole.
Estimating that about 20 percent of actors turn to PEDs, trainer-to-the-stars Happy Hill tells THR that human growth hormone (Hgh) is particularly popular. "Hgh is on the scene now more than ever before," says Hill, who has worked with the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Phillippe and doesn't believe in resorting to Ped use. "It's hard not to use. Some people ... are looking for that perfect gym body, and they want a shortcut."

During our visit to the set of Man of Steel last year, Henry Cavill told us a little about how hard he's worked to become Superman. If you've seen those shirtless shots in the trailer, you already know the dude is jacked for the role. So how, exactly, did he prepare for it? "Physical training for the role has been extraordinary intense," Cavill told us. "Mark Twight, the chap from Gym Jones, has been putting me through the ringer big time." Here's what Cavill had to do to get in the proper shape. -- Two hours a day on a mix of calories depending on what sort of work we’re doing. -- We started off at about 3,000 a day plus shake. That’s about 3,500. -- Two hours of work and then we moved up to 4,000 and then up to 5,000...

Henry Cavill and Michael Shannon trained with "300" trainer Mark Twight to get in shape for "Man of Steel." Shannon says that he had to do squats all day, but Cavill went into a little more detail. "It's a very, very long and involved process. I ate a lot and worked out like a fiend," he said. "Five months before shooting there was varying stuff which ended up being mass building and then leaning down." During the mass building phase, Cavill says that he had to suffer through painful workouts, eat over 5,000 calories per day, and was told to sleep 9 to 10 hours per night. And then when filming began, so did the leaning down phase. "They just cut my calories right down to 2,500 [per day]," explained the actor. "[And] throughout the shoot it was just waking up and making sure I got an hour in [of exercise] before I went to work." He added: "But then...

Cavill has told Showbiz Spy that he is just getting started: “At this early stage I’m just doing some foundation training,” “I’ve done about a month so far and it’s really hard stuff, to get my body used to the real stuff, which is coming up soon.
