Resident Evil (aka Biohazard) is going to celebrate its twentieth anniversary in 2016, and the series has come a long way since its humble origins. It started out as a scrappy little PS1 game that practically invented the Survival Horror genre, before transforming itself into a third person shooter, a Milla Jovovich-lead movie franchise and just about everything in-between from novels to energy drinks. There’s even a Resident Evil-themed restaurant in Japan (and they simply Must serve Jill Sandwiches).
This success isn’t to say the franchise has always had a smooth ride; there have been a fair amount of shoddy spin-offs (any Resident Evil: Survivor fans out there?), the series has sometimes struggled to keep up with the times, with even the most successful entries having a rough time getting through development.
In fact, a lot of cool things have been left on the cutting room floor over the years,...

To say Resident Evil 6 was a disappointment for fans is an understatement, however, there is a silver lining here, as Capcom has seemingly taken that critical failure to heart and charted a new course for the franchise. That said, its not really a new course, its more of a reunion with the gameplay that made the franchise the behemoth it is today. While just one would be worthwhile, we are actually getting two games that harken back to those classic times, and those are Resident Evil Classic and Resident Evil Revelations 2.
Let’s talk about Classic first. The decision to remaster the original Resident Evil for next gen consoles does two things. One, it gives the series faithful a nice sign that the publisher is coming out of the delusional fantasy it's been living in that said we wanted more action in our horror games. Sure, Resident Evil 4 was heralded...

Gamers with superior intellect have always considered the Wii port of Resident Evil 4 to be the definitive version of Capcom’s classic game. Not only does it contain all of extras found in both GameCube and PS2 releases, but it also supports the Wii Remote’s Ir Pointer for quick and precise aiming/shooting. With Resident Evil: Revelations headed to the Wii U this May, some of these right-thinking individuals recently asked Capcom if the 3Ds port would also include an option to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk combo. Sadly, it does not appear that the developer is planning to make the right call.
Capcom’s product marketing coordinator, Mike Lunn, broke the disappointing news on the Capcom-Unity forums, saying:
“Unfortunately Revs is only supported by the Wii-u gamepad at the moment. We’re doing what we can to get the new classic controller compatibility, but the game...

It would seem - at the moment - that Resident Evil is the gift that just keeps on giving. Well, as giving as a third-person, zombie killing release can be...but let's not be pedantic. Due for release on the 20th March, 2012, Raccoon City already looks set to restore the franchise back to its golden days. The graphics are crisp; the gameplay seems neat and, above all, it looks like incredibly good fun. Don't believe us? Well why not check out their recently released, 'Triple Impact Trailer' below:
But wait, there's more! In their latest press release, Capcom have revealed all on Operation Raccoon City's multiplayer options - and boy, is there some juicy content. In the latest reveal, Capcom explained how players will be able to experience intense, four vs four online team battles, playing as either a member of the Umbrella Security Service (USS) or Us Spec Ops.

Though I’ve never actually read The Agony and the Ecstasy — I was too busy watching reality TV — this classic literary title perfectly encapsulated tonight’s Dancing With The Stars results show. It was as if DWTS‘ producers spent too much time watching Survivor and decided to create a quasi in-house immunity challenge that asked: How much pain and pleasure can we inflict on our viewers within two bloated hours of primetime TV?
Let us count the ways! Here goes:
The Agony:
* Filler alert! The DWTS Troupe’s utterly unnecessary opening number to a medley of past winning freestyle songs.

It’s clear that the world has long been fascinated by twins. So what are twins fascinated by?
In the case of Gary and Larry Lane, the answer is Dolly Parton.
The two have always idolized the country icon — so much so that in their latest screenplay, Full Circle, these aspiring screenwriters wrote a part especially for her. Once it was done, they then even embarked on a cross-country road-trip to hand-deliver the script to her, filming everything along the way and turning it into a documentary, Hollywood to Dollywood, that also happens to tell the life story of these 35-year-old twins, who grew up in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and who also happen to both be gay men.

Whether or not you've embraced her home-spun North Carolina wisdom, you can't deny that Jane Bright has been one of the most memorable characters in the slightly character-deficient "Survivor: Nicaragua" season. Whether she was starting fire without flint, flipping on her fellow "old" contestants to help crush the cocky Marty/Jill alliance or sneaking off into the woods to devour a fish she caught, Jane found a way to become one of the season's most featured contestants. If you missed the elimination of my pre-season favorite, Brenda, make sure to catch up with my recap here.
This week's Survivor is the traditional pre-Thanksgiving recap episode that takes a look back at the season so far by using unaired clips from the first ten episodes. As there is no new narrative to detail, and it's Thanksgiving weekend here in the States, let's just take a look at some of the highlights of the special.
--When Espada first got to their beach, Jimmy J, Jimmy T, Marty and Tyrone had a bit of a battle of testosterone to see who was going to be the leader in camp. They were eventually able to put their egos aside (a bit) to complete the shelter, but perhaps they should have worked together better because during that first night, the shelter collapsed under the weight of the tribe.

"Survivor: Nicaragua" saw Brenda Lowe get the boot due to Holly and Jane's conspiring against her. She tells Zap2it that she loved her time on the show and that she really did have a strategy going into her final Tribal Council.
Did you enjoy "Survivor"? Was it everything you hoped it would be?
"Yeah, I loved 'Survivor.' I love the game. Of course, it's probably the most miserable experience too because you're not eating, all the obvious things. I loved it, I enjoyed it. I hated it what happened yesterday but I loved it."
You were criticized last night for not fighting harder -- why didn't you?
"There was a strategy behind it and that's why it was so frustrating in Tribal Council because this is my strategy -- my only hope was to have Sash give me the Idol. That was my angle for staying in the game.

Marty Piombo was the latest eliminated "Survivor: Nicaragua" contestant. He tells Zap2it about why he didn't like Jane or NaOnka and what he wishes he had done differently.
Did you enjoy "Survivor"? Was it everything you hoped it would be?
"It was everything I hoped it would be and more. It truly, truly was the experience of a lifetime. I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Do you have a lot of animosity towards Jane or NaOnka? Or was it more in the heat of the game?
"Within five minutes of the game starting, Jane ran up to me and said, 'My husband just died, I need the money, please don't vote me off.' Personally, that turned me off towards Jane. I've had more close, personal human tragedy in my life than Jane and Chase combined, but I would never bring that into the game and leverage it on a reality TV show.

Alina Wilson was the next in a string of strong female competitors to be voted out of "Survivor: Nicaragua." She tells Zap2it about her experience and how hard it is for strong women to succeed in the game.
Did you enjoy Survivor? Was it everything you hoped it would be?

Every memory I have of it is great. Even though I was voted out way earlier than I expected to be, I'm very, very happy."

"Most recently, I was very surprised by Benry's animosity towards me. I was shocked by that. And NaOnka's personality as a whole was very shocking to me.

Did you miss last week's unbelievable (Marty, what are you doing?!?) episode of Survivor: Nicaragua? Catch up with a recap here.
This week's episode begins at the La Flor camp after Jill's ouster. With birds picking apart a carcass, Marty comments that the vultures are circling. He's a "dead man walking," and that without Jill or the Hidden Immunity Idol, he is totally exposed. Fabio arrives with Tree Mail. He unwraps it, and hands a key to Brenda. There is a map inside, and the note instructs La Flor to pack up all of their belongings and follow the map to their new home. It's time for The Merge! Marty believes this to be amazing news because he thinks the original La Flor members of both current tribes will be jockeying with each other for position, making him possible safe. "I'm back in the saddle again," Marty cheerily states.

['Survivor: Nicaragua' - 'Company Will be Arriving Soon']
Last night's episode of 'Survivor: Nicaragua' had its fair share of memorable scenes but, for me, it'll be remembered as the one where I had to watch (and listen) to Na'Onka pass salami gas. That's right. Pass. Salami. Gas.
But, I digress...
Following his cohort Jill's ouster last week (and the fact that he'd forked over the idol to that insipid-yet-dastardly Sash), Marty figured his goose was pretty much cooked. Then again, as he's fond of pointing out, this is 'Survivor' and you never know what's going to happen next. Bingo.

On the latest "Survivor: Nicaragua," Jane proved to be even more awesome than we already thought, but she still can't oust the person she wants gone the most.
The Merge
Following Jill's ouster, Marty is a tad worried about his safety (having given up the Idol like a big dummy), but then the merge comes -- possibly his hide is saved. La Flor heads to Espada's beach for a big merge feast.
Before La Flor arrives, Alina says all of Espada is going to stick together and oust Marty. She does not hear the crickets chirping as she relays this plan to the others.
When the tribes merge, NaOnka gets her panties in a twist about making tortillas and then getting the last one, which is also the smallest. Yes, your tribemates are pigs. But perhaps you should've just said something, instead of stealing the flour, pan and some...

As the old saying goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Unfortunately for the La Flor tribe on Survivor: Nicaragua, Jane knew how to fish, but didn't feel like feeding anyone but herself. "That was infuriating," tribe mate Jill Behm tells TVGuide.com. "It's pretty hypocritical." After switching from tribes from Espada to La Flor, the older players had little to protect them from the majority. But instead of sticking by her original teammates, Jane left Jill and Marty out to dry and joined forces with the younger players. Jill, a 43-year-old ER doctor, talked to TVGuide.com about Jane's accusations, Marty's big move and her biggest...

On Survivor Nicaragua, ER doctor Jill Behm was very quiet, making subtle moves, and never really standing out or speaking up in any signfiicant way. That's not true now that she's been voted out, as she's slamming Jane pretty hard. "I think Jane's got a bit of a vindictive streak. I think she's pretty easily pointing the finger at other people," Jill told Fancast, noting that even though Jane did catch fish, other people did...

Wait, what? Marty's still alive? How is that possible? Marty gives away the idol to someone who is planning on double crossing and he survives the vote? What in the name of Erik Reichenbach (of Survivor: Micronesia infamy) is going on?

La Flor lost again on "Survivor: Nicaragua" and Jill Behm was voted off, as she and fellow oldie Marty were the odd people out on their new tribe. She tells Zap2it about her experience and how the age split didn't bother her, it was more the suckiness of the tribes.

Perhaps (alright, certainly) Marty is not the Greatest Survivor Player of All Time. However, as last night's episode showed, Marty might be the luckiest Survivor player of all time.
In my defense, I merely suggested that Marty’s place on top of the podium was possible after a very confusing tribal council last week. We now know that Marty had no idea what was going on. Rather, the young La Florians simply confused all of us with their big talk about Marty only to pull a 180 and plan to vote off Kelly B instead. Marty calls the La Florians bluff, doesn’t play the idol and still survives.
This week, Marty foolishly gives his idol to Sash (more on that later) who has told the audience that he plans on double crossing Marty. Then, completely unexplained, the young La Florians (Brenda, Kelly S, Jud, Sash) make another confusing move and vote off Jill instead.

If you missed last week’s double-elimination spectacular, check out a recap here.
This week’s episode of Survivor begins at the Espada tribe after their Tribal Council. Dan thanks the tribe for keeping him, but Chase confesses that it may not have been the best move. It’s going to be a “hard pill to swallow” if Dan costs them a challenge. Dan, however, is not the next target. Chase tells NaOnka and Holly that Alina has to go next. NaOnka agrees, saying that Alina has eyes that just burn through a person, so she can’t be trusted. Over at La Flor, all Marty can say is, “Wow!” Jill says they would have voted however Sash’s alliance wanted if he had just told them. Marty tells the camera that it took huge balls to pull the move he did (not playing the Hidden Immunity Idol), but something...

Sash: “That’s not what I meant to say.”
Ah, I love an unexpected gift… especially a gift at Tribal Council. It’s one of the truths at Tribal Council that sometimes it takes a lot of work to get them to share anything of interest, and other times… they just offer it up to you like a fastball straight over the plate. Whack! And it’s outta here!
More on Sash’s comment later.

Did James Clement, Erik Reichenbach and J.T. Thomas welcome another member to their exclusive Dumbest Survivor Ever Club tonight? Is Jud smarter than we (and Jeff Probst) thought? And what do zombies (the monsters, not Dan) have to do with Survivor? Grab your torches and get on in here... Wow. Tonight's Tribal Council almost seemed certain to end with a Marty McBye-Bye. Instead, he said farewell to his lackey Jill—with the Immunity Idol she found with Marty resting comfortably in Sash's pocket. Dumb and Dumberer: Fabio the Freudian psychologist (ooh, snap, Jeffrey!) truly seemed brighter than Marty tonight. In what universe could his surrendering the idol to Sash be considered a "gutsy"...

On the latest "Survivor: Nicaragua," someone looks like a pretty big chump.
After voting Kelly B. and Yve off, the tribes are in a bit of unrest. Alina is the new target at Espada and Marty is mad he was targeted. He also wonders why Jane has flipped to the youngsters. He confronts her and she just laughs about voting for Marty. It's kinda weird and definitely makes him suspicious.
Reward Challenge
A defender is on a perch in a big pool while the other tribe leap at the defender and throw a ball in a net. First tribe to score 5 points wins a reward that is a Nicaraguan farm experience with horseback riding and a big fresh breakfast.
La Flor sits out Jane and puts up Fabio as the defender. Chase is Espada's defender. The first miss is Marty, then Fabio deflects Holly's. Dan totally biffs his and...

If history has proven anything, it is that handing over immunity to the opposition is never a good idea. Erik gave his to Natalie in Micronesia, and she promptly voted him out. J.T. gave his to Russell — who was on the other tribe! — in Heroes vs Villains, and it was used later to send him home. Tonight on Survivor: Nicaragua, another person mulled over parting with their immunity. Did it lead to their untimely demise? My full recap will be up at midnight (Update: Dalton’s full Survivor recap is now live), but if you’ve already watched and can...

Yve Rojas fell victim to a double elimination on "Survivor: Nicaragua" and she tells Zap2it that she hopes to see an Espada member as the ultimate survivor. Read our exit Q&A with fellow eliminee Kelly Bruno here.
Are you glad you did "Survivor"?
"I'm so glad I did "Survivor" and so grateful that I was invited to participate. So often we say we can do something, but we rarely follow through and this was one of those times that I thought, 'Wow, I'm goign to have a little bit of perseverance to show my girls that their mom is a go-getter.' It was much more brutal than people could ever know without actually having the opportunity to go out there and fight for themselves in the game, but I'd do it again."

No one was safe on "Survivor: Nicaragua" this week as both tribes were required to vote out a member at Tribal Council. The La Flor tribe initially had a tie vote between Marty and Kelly B, but in the second vote chose to send Kelly B home because they considered her the bigger threat. They felt that because she possesses a prosthetic leg, she would get the sympathy vote and the $1 million if she made it to the final three. Et talks to the 26-year-old student med student from Durham, Nc about her trials and tribulations in Nicaragua. Et: When you signed on to do "Survivor," how did you think the other contestants would respond to your prosthetic leg? Kelly B: Mostly, I was expecting a little hesitation -- [of them] being unsure of what I was capable of. I think that is why I went into it trying to prove myself...

Did you miss last week’s tribe shuffle? Check out my recap here.
This week’s episode of Survivor begins at Espada after yet another Tribal Council and the ouster of Tyrone. There is a storm rolling in, which Dan can not abide. He wants to quit because he can’t deal with another twenty days of rain. Holly tries to encourage him, but confesses to the camera that quitting is the easy way out. “You’ve signed up for something — suck it up and finish!” Yve and Holly collect wood, when Yve asks why she wasn’t let in on the tribe voting for Tyrone. She would have went along without a fuss, so she what’s to know what’s up. Holly says that she and Dan weren’t so sure Yve would vote with them because they thought she and Tyrone had an alliance. Yve assures Holly that she didn’t.

"Survivor: Nicaragua" had a big shake up when two people were sent home -- we were pretty bummed that it was Kelly Bruno and Yve Rojas.
Challenge
The tribes are playing amongst themselves for an individual immunity necklace and each tribe is sending someone home tonight. Ooooh. The challenge is digging for a rope ring that is tossed into a basket behind their backs. There are three rings to be found, caught and put on a rack. The winner from each tribe will square off for a reward -- reward is a ring toss and the reward is a feast. The winning tribe gets to go to Tribal first, then gets to watch the other tribe's council while they eat their feast. Nice.
Espada goes first. Ben, Alina and Holly are neck and neck for the win and Holly pulls it out. Wow, good for you older lady! When La Flor goes,...

There was double trouble on the new 'Survivor: Nicaragua' (Wed., 8Pm Et on CBS). We had double eliminations, double immunity ... and attempts at a double-cross.
[Warning: Spoiler alert.]
This was a double elimination episode, so both teams were heading to Tribal Council, no matter what. But first, the players competed in an individual ring-toss challenge. The winner's tribe would get the prize of a delicious feast. Jill defeated Holly -- so team La Flor won again!

What a lovely group of people we are meeting this season on Survivor: Nicaragua. At least Shannon was sent home after his homophic harangue, but nasty NaOnka remains. And according to last night's eliminee, she's sharing space with some more vile characters who aren't exactly politically correct themselves... Tyrone Davis, arguably this game's most noble contestant, said he heard both Jill and Holly utter racist remarks Tyrone told me that while he was talking to Brooklynite Dan about his hometown, Jill said, "I would never go there." "Why not?" T.D. asked, and he claimed Jill responded, "Because there are black people there!" He added that she even made the distinction between...

Survivor: Nicaragua was flipped on its head with the tribal mix up. In our review, we tackled the survivors switching tribes and Tyrone's surprise ouster. Our Round table writers convened to discuss the important events of last night's episode.
What should NaOnka have been thinking? What was Marty thinking? What's with Marty's hair?
We're hoping to hear plenty from our readers as well.
Kill and eat the chicken or spare it for more eggs in the future?
Kakdaddy: Was I the only one wondering why they didn't leave the chickens and kill the rooster?
Quiet Pool: They had what? Three? If you're hungry, eat one. More food will come along, don't starve yourself if you don't have to.
Lady Gaga: I'm ok with killing one of the chickens now. Survivor is full of surprises, especially with the formation of new tribes, so it benefited the current tribe...

“Turf Wars” opens with Espada, once again, having returned to camp after Tribal Council. As Marty stokes the fire, Holly comments that Jimmy T was really a good guy, who worked hard. She confesses to the camera that she had absolutely no idea Jimmy was being voted out. She thought they were voting out the weakest member of the tribe, which is clearly Dan. Now, she knows that she is on the outs with her tribe, so something needs to change, and quickly.
The next morning, Marty confides that Tribal Council was a “slam dunk.” It is now clear that he’s in charge. He tells Dan that they are in a good position. Dan says he was shocked that Jane and Holly voted against him. Marty replies that those omen have signed their own death warrants. Back to the camera,...

Tyrone Davis is too abrasive when the tribes are switched up and the young 'uns send him home on the latest "Survivor: Nicaragua."
Post-Tribal
The oldies aren't too sad that Jimmy T. was sent packing. They dispense with the post-tribal within the first five minutes. Luckily, when they get to the challenge, Jeff switches the tribes up.
Reward Challenge
They draw for new captains -- Brenda and Holly get the yellow rocks. INstead of alternating choices, Brenda writes down 3 oldies to join La Flor and Holly writes down 4 young 'uns to join Espada. Brenda chooses Jane, Jill and Marty. Holly chooses Alina, Ben, Chase and NaOnka. Innnteresting.

The nice thing about 'Survivor' (Wed., 8Pm Et on CBS) is that the contestants are always surprised by the show. Every season, the producers introduce a new twist. And every season, the players are shocked when this happens. Maybe the requirement for being on 'Survivor' should be actually watching the show beforehand, so that people know what they're getting into.
[Warning: Spoiler alert.]
Once again, Jeff Probst announced a sudden rule change, and some of the players predictably freaked out. Until this point, the two tribes were divided by age. But Jeff told the players to "drop their buffs," and the teams were changed. Jane, Jill, and Marty went to La Flor. Meanwhile, Alina, Benry, Chase, and NaOnka joined Espada. But the youngsters weren't too thrilled about their new team.

There’s a famous saying from World War II that goes “loose lips sink ships.”
During the 1940s the phrase was meant to reinforce the idea that discussing the wrong thing with the wrong person could cost American soldiers’ lives fighting over seas. While the point of the phrase is not that dramatic as it pertains to Survivor, the analogy could have been a very useful lesson for some of the castaways on last night’s episode.
Jimmy T represented the most obvious example of how his loose lips sank his own ship. I’d ask the question ‘what was he thinking?’ but I really don’t think he recognized how detrimental his yapping was to his future in the game. Despite his admission on the show that perhaps his talking was going to put his head on the chopping block, I don’t think he was all that serious about the comment.

Did you miss last week’s ouster of NFL Great Jimmy Johnson? Catch up on my recap here.
This week’s episode starts with Espada back camp after voting out Coach Jimmy Johnson. The first storm of the season hits, depressing everyone. Everyone but Jimmy T, that is. He confides to the camera that what Coach (Jimmy J) considered his great leadership skills was nothing more than a couple of basic speeches. It was clear that Coach wasn’t a Jimmy T fan, so Jimmy T isn’t going to miss him. Jimmy (no longer Jimmy T from here on out in these recaps) starts singing, very poorly, and annoying his tribe. Marty confesses that Jimmy is just putting on the “Jimmy T Show.” “Jimmy needs to hear his own voice 24/7…, but if you give him enough rope, he’ll hang himself.”
The next morning, Holly looks out on the destruction caused by the storm.

Jimmy T: (To Marty) “You preppy little bitch. You wouldn’t last a minute in my world.”
You knew it was only a matter of time. Jimmy T wasn’t ever long for this game. I wonder if he understands why he was voted out? Does he realize the reason he was voted out is because it’s very difficult to be around him?
Jimmy T: “And I’m easy to get along with… I think.”
Hmm. Maybe not. Jimmy T, I know you mean well, I really do. You have a great spirit, but dude, you are tough to get along with.

Jimmy Johnson definitely proved his mettle as a two-time Super Bowl-winning coach, but when it came to the game of "Survivor," his celebrity put a target on his back. Wednesday night, the "NFL Sunday" analyst was ousted from Nicaragua by several conniving members of the Espada tribe. He tells Et, he never saw it coming. Do you think your renown as a coach essentially put a target on your back right from the start? Jimmy Johnson: I was hoping it would work to my favor because I tried to convince everybody I wouldn't win the million dollars and that I wasn't a threat. I thought I had pretty well convinced everybody of that but, apparently, I miscalculated because Marty still felt like I was a threat and needed to get me out of there. Was it a stupid move on their part because you are one of the most...

Rip Jimmy Johnson. One of our favorite, albeit short-lived, Survivor contestants was given the boot by his insecure tribemates on last night's episode of Survivor: Nicaragua.
How does this affect the Espada tribe? Will Jimmy T step into the leadership role or will Marty's plan to be the de facto leader be implemented? And what the heck was up with NaOnka last night?
Our Round Table writers have convened to discuss these pressing questions and more. They're also looking forward to debating the answers with our readers as well.
Espada voted off Jimmy Johnson. Smart move?
Kakdaddy: Not if we're talking about my enjoyment of this season. I suppose I see the rationale where Jimmy is certainly not a physical threat and going up against the younger tribe they need all the strength they can get. I just didn't see him as the big bad threat that Marty and...

Last night’s episode of Survivor, “Glitter In Their Eyes” was a reminder that as much as Survivor is a social game it is also still very much a physical game. Despite his celebrity coming into the season and earned respect during his time with the Espada tribe, Jimmy Johnson couldn’t escape that he was the oldest and possibly weakest member of his tribe.
Even though the women on his tribe loved him, he was unanimously voted out.
This speaks volumes to how the tribe’s perception of Jimmy J varied from what we saw of Jimmy J on the screen. Heading in to tribal council, it seemed very possible that Jimmy J, Jane, Holly, Yve and Tyrone would vote for Dan, out gunning Marty, Jill, Jimmy T and Dan’s votes for Jimmy J five to four. A vote of eight to one means that everyone felt that...
