WWE finally seems to be going back to its glory days after the recent WrestleMania 40. Ever since Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock returned to the ring, the events at the promotion and the storyline seem to have gotten better and better. The recent WrestleMania was also considered to be one of the best in recent times and reportedly satisfied many fans.
After the promotion’s biggest event, WWE seems to be going twice as hard as the recent SmackDown saw Kevin Owens bleeding after a fight with Tama Tonga. Many fans considered it to be the end of the PG Era of the WWE, which changed its rating way back in 2008 to appeal to a more diverse and younger demographic.

WWE had essentially confirmed the change in Roman Reigns’ character from face to heel, at the Payback special in 2020. While Reigns always wanted to be a heel, his character overhaul certainly reinvigorated his persona and validated his position at WWE, in a new way. But now it seems, Reigns can finally ditch his heel role because Tama Tonga is here.

Match #1: 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal – Winner: “Big” Bronson Reed The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
“Big” Bronson Reed etched his name in history as he won the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in thrilling fashion. Omos looked like the early favorite as he tossed out Kit Wilson, prompting Elton Prince to voluntarily eliminate himself to join his Pretty Deadly partner and avoid the wrath of The Nigerian Giant. As the field dwindled, Ricochet was poised to take control, but he was shockingly eliminated by Jd McDonagh, who was then promptly superkicked over the top rope by Akira Tozawa. Tozawa, Reed, Ivar and Otis were the final four Superstars, and the Aussie giant stood tall after eliminating the Viking Raider.

WrestleMania 40’s night two in Philadelphia was a spectacle of high-octane wrestling that lived up to the grandeur expected of such a storied event. The evening was headlined by a gripping match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, where Rhodes sought redemption and the chance to “finish his story” and of course the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. The “Bloodline Rules” stipulation added an intense layer of drama, with Rhodes overcoming the odds to dethrone Reigns in a stunning upset that had the Lincoln Financial Field erupting in cheers.
It was no surprise that during the match both Reigns and Rhodes has some assistance during their match from the likes of Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, The Rock, John Cena and none other than The Undertaker making brief cameo appearances.

The second time was the charm for Cody Rhodes, who dethroned rival Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Sunday in Philadelphia. WWE took over Lincoln Financial Field over two nights with the biggest question looming. Would the son of the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes finish the story and do something his dad never did? Answer: A resounding yes. Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes surprised fans in his entrance and gave him a kiss for good luck. The fans popped at the bell when champion and challenger came face-to-face, fully invested in what they’d waited a year to see one more time. From there, it was a slow burn before things picked up in a big way. Outside interference began with first Jimmy Uso and then Jey Uso. From there, it was Solo, who was neutralized by John Cena. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would...

Wrestlemania 40 is just around the corner, and the schedule for the showdown has already taken shape. It is the grandest event in the world of professional wrestling, and the stage is set for this year’s championship.
The event will hit a special milestone this year, as it will be celebrating 40 years since its inception. Held annually, Wrestlemania has boosted several WWE stars to greater fame. This year, the stakes are even higher, with Dwayne Johnson and his cousin, Roman Reigns. Moreover, if rumors are to be believed, some of the biggest names are set to take them on.

The Rock has been back in the fold since the February 2nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown and it is evident that The Great One will be appearing regularly on WWE television as we approach WrestleMania 40 in his feud against Cody Rhodes. However, it is more or less certain Cody Rhodes will eclipse The Rock’s popularity despite his returning heel this time around.
The Rock and Cody Rhodes
Enthusiasm is high among fans for a potential showdown between The Rock and Roman Reigns looms ahead. However, there was a collective desire to avoid overshadowing Cody Rhodes’ storyline. Despite initial concerns heading in that direction, a more reasoned approach has prevailed. As a result, fans can now enjoy Cody Rhodes going head-to-head with Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40.

Dwayne Johnson returned to WWE at Friday Night SmackDown at the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona. The event opened with members of The Bloodline – Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and manager Paul Heyman. While the wrestlers made their way to the ring, Roman Reigns told the crowd to acknowledge him and was met with a reception he was definitely not accepting, receiving boos from the audience.
The Bloodline at Friday’s SmackDown
Roman Reigns then went on to ask the crowd to acknowledge him a couple more times and, again, was left disappointed. This prompted the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion to announce that it was time to leave but was stopped by Paul Heyman as they had one surprise entry – Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock. While he was introducing Dwayne Johnson, the cameras panned to Roman Reigns, who was just not having it!

Cody Rhodes has one of the most intriguing WWE storylines, one that has had fans captivated ever since its debut. However, despite the twists and turns that plague the story, fans have found a very unusual connection between the story that Rhodes is playing out and the storyline of Dinsey’s most popular animated story.
Cody Rhodes
Fans have equated the beats of the storyline that Rhodes has been following with Lion King, the seminal Disney classic that adapted William Shakespeare’s Hamlet for its young audience. The plot beats and the characters have been mapped out by audiences in a fun instance of comparative storytelling, something that has taken X by storm in the wake of this realization.

Match #1: Drew McIntyre def. Cody Rhodes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With WrestleMania Xl fast approaching, Cody Rhodes is still severely undermanned in his quest to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The American Nightmare took on Drew McIntyre, but after an incredible back-and-forth featuring a pedigree and an incredible Cody Cutter, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa arrived and cost Rhodes the win, much to the delight of The Scottish Warrior. After the match, while Rhodes tended his wounds in the backstage area, World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins once again offered his services, leading to a discussion between the two Superstars.

For months now, we've been seeing paparazzi photos of Zac Efron looking extremely beefy with a silly haircut, and hearing reports about "The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White's "gross" diet in preparation for the new A24 film, "The Iron Claw." For outsiders looking in, "The Iron Claw" looks like a wrestling drama, and many are thrilled to see the pair of actors step into the squared circle of muscle ballet. However, the average Joe's opinion of wrestling is rooted in the heyday of Hulkamania, the Attitude Era of the late '90s, or through crossover stars who have since become actors. Here's the thing: It's really cool that Allen and Efron are going to be in a wrestling movie, but if you're anticipating something like the extremely fun "Fighting With My Family" starring Florence Pugh or the deeply moving biopic "Cassandro" starring Gael García Bernal ... you're in for a hell of a rude awakening.

At WWE Fastlane, Sky is set to defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Flair and Asuka in a Triple Threat Match and looks to be on shaky ground, as she and her partner Bayley came up short. The four Superstars balled out, with Sky taking out everyone in a tremendous Tower of Doom that left everyone down. Even though Flair had accidentally booted Asuka in the face, she still came away with the win after a Natural Selection on Sky.

This year’s edition of WWE “Fastlane” is full of firsts. It’s the first Fastlane to take place outside of the “Road to Wrestlemania” and the first premium live event under the Tko Holdings banner following the sale of WWE. It also may be the first card for a certain new WWE Superstar who was recently signed from another company. It’s also the first Fastlane appearance for John Cena since 2018. You can watch the action emanate live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis this Saturday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. Et on Peacock. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.

Match #1: Jimmy Uso def. Karl Anderson The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a subsequent matchup, a Solo Sikoa distraction allowed Jimmy Uso to rake Anderson’s eyes before following up with a Superkick and Samoan Splash to overcame his opponent. When Anderson battled back after the match, Solo entered the ring and blasted the defeated Superstar with a post-match Samoan Spike. As The Bloodline made the exit, however, Michin emerged and dropped Jimmy to the floor with a hard slap.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Austin Theory def. Cameron Grimes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Match #1: Finn Bálor def. Aj Styles The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Damian Priest and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day got themselves removed from ringside for causing a disruption. As the official was ordering them out, Jimmy Uso suddenly emerged from nowhere and leaped up on the apron. This caused a distraction that paved the way for The Prince to roll up The Phenomenal One for the quick pin.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned Friday night for the WWE Friday Night Smackdown at the Ball Arena in Denver, Co. As might be expected, the crowd went wild, resulting in a four-minute standing ovation for the actor, who is currently out of work in his day gig.
Pat McAfee helped goose the event appearance. “This is the people’s show. And you know what that means,” McAfee said as The Rock made his entrance .
The match featured The Rock against Austin Theory.
The Rock hasn’t appeared on Smackdown since 2019, since he’s been busy making movies. But he hasn’t forgotten the wrestling script.
When Theory started to antagonize him, asking, “Do you know whose ring you’re in?” The Rock responded. “Shut your bitch-ass up. You clearly don’t know how all this works.”
He then doffed his jacket and roared, “Finally, The Rock has come back to Denver!

Match #1: Charlotte Flair & Shotzi def. Iyo Sky & Bayley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Ballsy Badass had The Queen of WWE as her tag partner as they took on Bayley and WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky of Damage Ctrl. Shotzi had terrorized Bayley for weeks after the devious group shorn her green locks more than a month ago. After some back-and-forth action, Asuka reemerged to snatch the WWE Women’s Title from Dakota Kai’s hands, giving enough of a distraction for Shotzi to lock up the win for her team. After the match, Asuka and Sky had a face-to-face showdown.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: LA Knight def. Austin Theory The following is courtesy of wwe.
