This plot is just a twist on Blade Runner pretty much, with Worthington as the Deckard character. The film stars Robbie Amell, Jordana Brewster, Alicia Sanz, with Simu Liu, and Sam Worthington (as the agent). The director adds this comment regarding...

Will Flora's findings turn the case on its head?
Now & Then Season 1 Episode 4 drops on Apple TV+ Friday, and TV Fanatic has an exclusive look ahead.
In the clip for the highly-anticipated outing, we see Flora in the year 2000, armed with some evidence that could change things considerably.
Sullivan is shocked by her arrival at his home because it's his day off, but when you're trying to find all the evidence involved, is there such a thing as a day off?
Flora's tenacity shines through the clip.
She's livid that this case has been covered up, and is dead set on getting the answers to prove what happened the fateful night the other characters desperately want to forget.
Set in Miami and shot in both Spanish and English, Now & Then stars an exceptional ensemble cast, including Academy Award nominees Marina de Tavira and Rosie Perez, and Ariel Award winner José María Yazpik.

Set in Miami, Now and Then explores the differences between youthful aspirations and the reality of adulthood, when the lives of a group of college best friends are forever changed after a celebratory weekend ends up with one of them dead. Now, 20 years later, the remaining five are reluctantly reunited by a threat that puts their seemingly perfect worlds at risk.

The Devil Below is visual effects expert Bradley Parker’s second film as a director, his first was Chernobyl Diaries back in 2012. This time he takes us to Shookum Hills, the film’s original title, an abandoned town in Appalachia where inhabitants vanished and the coal mines have been burning for decades. Is it a hill country Silent Hill, or something more sinister?

"It took my son, and I've been fighting him ever since." Vertical Ent. has released an official trailer for The Devil Below, a new horror film (formerly titled Shookum Hills) from filmmaker / VFX supervisor Brad Parker (director of the very creepy Chernobyl Diaries previously). A geological expedition to an Appalachian sinkhole becomes a fight for survival against a mysterious force. When a team of researchers try to find out how fires started in underground coal mines that have been ablaze for decades, they encounter something much more frightening hiding within. The film stars Alicia Sanz, Adan Canto, Zach Avery, Chinaza Uche, Jesse Latourette, Jonathan Sadowski, and Will Patton. The best part about this is definitely the grizzled Will Patton. It looks a bit like Tremors meets The Descent, which is kind of a thrilling mash-up. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Brad Parker's The Devil Below, direct from Vertical's YouTube...

Starring “Money Heist” and “Elite” star Jaime Llorente, Amazon’s “El Cid” hit the streaming platform worldwide on Dec. 18, weighing in as Spain’s first scripted Amazon Original and one of its biggest swings to date in continental Europe.
While Charlton Heston’s El Cid in the eponymous 1961 film was a product of the Cold War, an agent of Christendom battling invading aliens, Llorente’s Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, alias El Cid, is less glorious, more grounded and far truer to its age while interpreting events with modern-day political and gender sensibility. This is a medieval epic, but with attitude, and Spain setting the record straight.
Here are six takes on the five-part season 1, and a brief Q&a with co-creator José Velasco and producer Sara Fernandez-Velasco. (Warning: may contain spoilers)

We got to interview William Levy and Alicia Sanz about their new Latin action thriller movie En Brazos De Un Asesino. The movie also stars Roberto Sosa, Adrian Lastra, Dalisa Alegria, Ettore D’ Alessandro, Jean Jean, Alessia Seravalle and is directed by Matias Moltrasio.
En Brazos de un Asesino means, “in the arms of an assassin,” and the movie is adapted from J. A Redmerski’s thiller, “Killing Sarai”.
William talks about the journey from actor to co-writer of this film and how he wanted to take control of his career. Also, now, as a producer, he can create opportunities for other people. He recalls how watching The Godfather in Cuba and seeing Andy Garcia who is Cuban inspired him to become an actor. The Latino market in America provides the number one audience going to the movies yet they only represent 3 percent of the roles. He wants to do something to change this!

It’s problematic when a possible franchise-launcher feels like an indifferent later entry in a series, and that is the case with “En Brazos de un Asesino” aka “In the Arms of an Assassin.” This Pantelion release has the requisite basic elements for undemanding escapism, with attractive leads, erotic elements and ample bullet-riddled peril. But despite being based on the first of seven (so far) interlocking pulp romantic-thrillers by J.A. Redmerski, Matias Moltrasio’s feature directorial debut isn’t splashy or assured enough to leave one wanting more, and the narrative awkwardly completes one arc and begins another after the two-thirds point.
Opening on approximately 150 U.S. screens Dec. 6, the film is certainly a viable commercial item among Spanish-speaking audiences. But let’s hope any follow-ups leave a stronger impression.

U.S. Latinx Streaming Platform Pantaya Reels in More Subs, Ramps Up Original Programming (Exclusive)
The growing influx of streaming giants in the U.S. market is a boon for premium Latinx-content streaming platform, Pantaya. That’s how Paul Presburger, CEO of both Pantaya and Pantelion Films, views it. “I see them more as potential partners, whether it’s in distribution like Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video, or as production and programming partners,” he said, citing deals with Amazon Prime Video and co-production talks underway with other platforms.
The two-year old Lionsgate-Hemisphere Media joint venture has just surpassed the 500,000 subs benchmark, exceeding its growth forecasts. Being the only streaming platform providing premium Latinx programming in the U.S. and Puerto Rico with “higher budgets, better production values and bigger stars” has been key to attracting a spectrum of Latinx subs, ranging from the Spanish-dominant and bi-lingual demos to English-dominant viewers, Presburger asserted.

"You need to open up yourself to complete reprogramming." Breaker has debuted the second official trailer for a trippy indie sci-fi thriller titled Perfect, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival last year (watch the first trailer). This experimental, retro-ish sci-fi project is about a boy who goes to a mysterious genetic-engineering clinic, only to discover the price of perfection will cost him everything, including his mind, body and his soul. Garrett Wareing stars as the boy, Vessel 13, with Abbie Cornish, Courtney Eaton, Tao Okamoto, Martin Sensmeier, Leonardo Nam, Alicia Sanz, and Maurice Compte. This is executive produced and presented by Steven Soderbergh, directed by Eddie Alcazar, featuring music by Flying Lotus. This does look totally wild - some very hypnotic, mesmerizing social commentary laced with a big hit of acid. Here's the second official trailer (+ poster) for Eddie Alcazar's Perfect, direct from Breaker's YouTube: You can still rewatch...

"Be careful, sweetheart, don't get too close." Whoa, this looks trippy. A trailer has debuted for a retro sci-fi film titled Perfect, premiering at the SXSW Film Festival this month. This experimental, creative project is about a boy who goes to a mysterious genetic-engineering clinic, only to discover the price of perfection will cost him everything, including his mind, body and his soul. Garrett Wareing stars as the boy, along with Abbie Cornish, Courtney Eaton, Tao Okamoto, Martin Sensmeier, Leonardo Nam, Alicia Sanz, and Maurice Compte. This looks very cool, I'm very curious to see more, and hopefully the reviews out of SXSW are good. The film is being presented by Steven Soderbergh, which is a good sign it's unique. It seems a bit like "Black Mirror" meets Beyond the Black Rainbow-esque criticism of society's pursuits of perfection. Here's the first official trailer (+ teaser poster) for Eddie Alcazar's Perfect,...
