For as long as horror movies have existed, there have been carny-like marketing campaigns boasting audience members fainting, vomiting, running out of theaters in terror, and in some of the most extreme cases, having a heart attack. Films like "Psycho," "The Exorcist," and even 2023's "Talk To Me" have all become modern urban legends with the reported reactions from fans, but few films come close to the reputation of "Antrum." The Canuxploitation film from David Amito and Michael Laicini is two films in one: a documentary about "Antrum," a lost film from the 1970s that has been connected with over 85 deaths, and the remaining footage from the only known print of the film. Before the film plays, a warning covers the screen.

The Bloody Disgusting-powered Screambox is home to a variety of unique horror content, from originals and exclusives to cult classics and documentaries. With such a rapidly-growing library, there are many hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Here are five recommendations you can stream on Screambox right now.
The Barn
Before The Barn Part II streams exclusively on Screambox on May 26, catch up on the 2016 original. The Barn stands out among the glut of ’80s slasher throwbacks because it’s not satirical or a send-up; the unapologetic love letter approaches the well-trodden material with a refreshing earnestness. Capturing not only the style but also the spirit of his influences, writer-director Justin M. Seaman taps directly into horror fans’ nostalgia while introducing an imaginative mythology with ample heart in a charming package.
At its core, the film is a coming of age tale about a teenager who doesn’t want to grow...

When you call your movie ’the deadliest film ever made’ you’re either brave, or stupid. Or I guess extremely confident in what you have produced. You open yourself up to a whole lot of criticism, mainly because people will expect something that they are very unlikely to get.
I kept my expectations low though. I actually liked that the filmmakers had gone with that tagline and also sent this line – “By watching Antrum you agree that Jinga Films and Sc Movies is hereby released of all liability for any event that might occur to you during or after your viewing” – to whoever was sent the screener. If you’re going to make this kind of movie, you...

*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by producer Eric Thirteen. Directors: David Amito, Michael Laicini. Writers: David Amito. Cast: Rowan Smyth, Nicole Tompkins. Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made or the simpler Antrum is a title from directors David Amito (Stress Postion) and Michael Laicini. Amito has starred in a number of projects, while Laicini has four scripts under his belt. Together, these two filmmakers have created a supposed cursed film. However, Antrum is more of a faux documentary. A few interviews are given in the style of Savageland (2015). But, this film fan was also reminded of the found footage title The Blair Witch Project (1999), in that the material for the film is found after-the-fact. The film's gimmick and hook is that, by watching this title, it will kill you. This viewer is still alive, but Antrum comes across more as a film school project, than anything from below (Hell!

Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made is releasing today. A trailer for this film was released this past Summer. Now, the final Digital trailer is available. The clip shows a woman, digging near a pentagram. Here, evil resides below. Supposedly a cursed film, Antrum is showing in U.S. and Canadian markets today, with plans to show in Japan - in 2020. This fire would lead to fifty-six people burning to death. More tragedies would occur wherever the film was shown. Partially shown through testimonials, Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made promises to bring a cursed film to home entertainment platforms.

Tagline: "The Deadliest Film Ever Made." Antrum or Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made is supposedly a cursed film. For those who watch it, death is just a few moments away. Recently, this title has been on a film festival run, with stops in: San Francisco, Brookly and Brussels. At one of these showings a producer was able to survive a viewing. And now, Antrum is expected to show in the U.S., later this year and in Europe as early as 2020. Supposedly a lost film, a new poster is available here for Antrum, from writers: David Amito and Michael Laicini. Shot in a testimonial format, Antrum is supposedly a film from the '80s. As the story goes, Antrum had its premiere in Budapest. Here, the theatre caught fire and fifty-six people perished; others have lost their lives, after watching this cursed film. So, the original copy of the film was destroyed shortly thereafter,...
