Brian Kelley, the Florida half of the country-music duo Florida George Line, has announced his debut solo project. Bk’s Wave Pack, due April 13th, is a four-track EP that plays up Kelley’s inherent beach vibes in songs like “Beach Cowboy” and “Party on the Beach.”
Kelley produced the project with Corey Crowder (Jake Rose gets a producer credit on the song “Beach Cowboy”) and co-wrote all four songs with writers like Crowder, Randy Montana, and Canaan Smith. “Made by the Water” and “Sunday Service in the Sand” round out the collection.

After being dogged by both a Covid diagnosis and break-up rumors in November, Florida Georgia Line have announced their fifth studio album. Life Rolls On, stacked full with 16 tracks, arrives February 12th. The duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley produced the album with Corey Crowder, making it their first full-length album without longtime producer Joey Moi.

Whether it’s coming out of Nashville, New York, L.A., or points in between, there’s no shortage of fresh tunes, especially from artists who have yet to become household names. Rolling Stone Country selects some of the best new music releases from country and Americana artists.

After a few hits and an occasional misfire, Canaan Smith finds his country voice on the deliberately stripped-down new song “Colder Than You.” “For me, it all started with a hand-me-down acoustic. I’ve always felt like...

Canaan Smith savors the feeling of a summertime throwdown in his easygoing new song “Beer Drinkin’ Weather,” released on Thursday. The track is the “Love You Like That” singer’s first release under an agreement with Round Here Records, a new label launched by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley.
Co-written by Smith with Hubbard, Kelley, and Corey Crowder, “Beer Drinkin’ Weather” is reminiscent of party-mode Fgl — who co-produced it with Smith — and Morgan Wallen’s breakout hit “Up Down” with its maxed-out guitar leads and massive drums.

“Up Down” singer Morgan Wallen made his debut on the Today show on Thursday, performing his Top 25 single “Whiskey Glasses.” The song appears on Wallen’s 2018 album If I Know Me.
Penned by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish, “Whiskey Glasses” is the Knoxville, Tennessee, native’s third single release, following 2016’s introductory “The Way I Talk” and the chart-topping Florida Georgia Line collaboration “Up Down.” Both tracks wound up on Wallen’s full-length debut If I Know Me, which highlighted his distinctive voice and showed him to be a savvy...

Florida Georgia Line are joined by newcomer Hardy on the energetic song “Y’all Boys,” a tribute to small-town, easygoing Southern men like themselves. This follows their recent ode “Women” as the latest release from the upcoming album Can’t Say I Ain’t Country.
Built around a rumbling, rockabilly-style guitar riff, “Y’all Boys” starts by bringing up “those boys who got the kind of ride, gets 55 to the gallon/They listen to that new school, never heard of George or Alan” and then saying, well, this song isn’t really about them.

Florida Georgia Line have released “Women,” the latest offering from their upcoming album Can’t Say I Ain’t Country. Featuring Jason Derulo, the song is the latest in a series of country tunes sung by male performers (Keith Urban’s “Female,” Dierks Bentley’s “Woman, Amen”) and dedicated — with varying degrees of success — to the opposite gender.
“Women, beautiful women/We’re all better off with ’em right by our side,” the duo sings over a soulful R&B groove.

Even before Florida Georgia Line took the stage on Wednesday night for the second show of their new Las Vegas residency — Florida Georgia Line Live From Las Vegas — it was clear this wasn’t going to be a typical country concert. There were blinding lasers beaming through the crowd, music loud enough to make rock stars blush and even a 12-year-old opening act.
But somehow, the whole spectacle worked perfectly. In fact, for the next 75 minutes, the show was less concert and more party, with Fgl’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley playing fist-bumping hosts.

Tailgate songs are a dime a dozen in country music, but RaeLynn has released a track that offers a fresh, feisty perspective on the beloved truck trope.
Titled, naturally, “Tailgate,” the song begins with punchy acoustic guitar, a laid-back, summer-ready beat, and some sunny, twangy vocals from RaeLynn. The lyrics tell of a couple youthful romantics who, “on the Dl,” just can’t stay out of the back of an F-150, with clever lines galore, like, “If that tailgate ever tells I’ll be the small talk of the town.

In the words of Blake Shelton and The Oak Ridge Boys... "I like doing it to country songs." (Get your minds out of the gutter.) Maddie & Tae are two of the fresh female artists making waves in country music, and they've proved they're ready to "Fly" to the top of the charts! Best known for their single "Girl in a Country Song," the young duo is prepping their debut album "Start Here" (available for pre-order on June 2) before hitting the road this summer with Dierks Bentley. These leading ladies will be the only females on the tour, sharing the stage with Dierks, Kip Moore and Canaan Smith. So, are they excited to add some girl power? "We definitely have a lot to live up to," Tae told toofab's Rachel Hoffman. "They’re all really talented but I think that’s why we’re so excited! Oh, to be a fly on the wall of Nashville's Ryman Auditorium for this insiders-only country show. For nearly two hours on Thursday, 16 country artists played an array of new releases, about-to-be-releases and a few surprises fresh out of the writing fires. From the superstars to the up-and-comers, the performers - all represented by the Universal Music Group conglomerate - each had a moment to shine before the several hundred programmers, deejays and other assorted station staffers gathered for the annual Country Radio Seminar. The show climaxed with an unannounced appearance by Keith Urban, who earned a standing ovation before he even sang a note.

Maddie and Tae flipped the script on "bro country" with their hit "Girl In a Country Song" and have grabbed the attention of Dierks Bentley! The duo recently announced they'll be heading out on tour with Bentley this summer for his Sounds of Summer tour along with Kip Moore and Canaan Smith. Maddie & Tae's lyrics challenge the way women are portrayed in country songs, and they're beating out seasoned professionals on the country chart with their powerful message. This is a weird metaphor to make, but the last two legs of The Amazing Race can be connected to that Katy Perry song. Now, forgive me for this metaphor, kids, but hear me out: hot deserts, cold ski resorts, hot hookahs, cold shark-infested-ish waters... you get the idea. But we're done with Dubai, and we're on to Europe, and with the admittedly immature Mika and Canaan out, well, we'll see what happens next.
But first, to 60 Minutes, and a pretty sensible bit from Andy Rooney... airlines. Musings on airline security and airline pilots. Very fitting. I'm taking a plane this week! And so are these guys!

The Amazing Race. Its name alone incites images of a grandiose adventure. It’s not just An Amazing Race, it’s The Amazing Race. A name that drives home the necessity of commitment and tenacity like a big-league slugger pumped full of steroids. The Race isn’t easy, and it is not for everyone. If you have difficulty running for long periods of time, the race is not for you. If you cannot handle yourself under pressure, the race is not for you. If you have an irrational phobia of an everyday circumstance, such as water or heights, the race is not for you. You either bring your A-game, or you stay home like the rest of us and yell at the TV.

Adam Lambert (Sort Of) Kissed A Girl ... And No One Could Stop Talking About It

The remaining eight teams on The Amazing Race bid farewell to Asia but not to the heat, duking it out this week in the Dubai desert and establishing five more rules for the road. --Carrie Bell 1. Brush up on geography. The clue vaguely instructed teams to fly to the Persian Gulf and find the world's tallest building (the still under-constriction Burj Dubai). Miss America was the only one who knew where to go off the top of her head. Lucky for the gay brothers, who were confused by the broad location details and asked the ticket booker for a flight to the Gulf, Mr. America was kind enough to share that information. Others headed to Internet cafes where they figured out the destination but wasted time unable to secure tickets online. 2. Be prepared for extremes. It was so sticky in the Middle East that the lens fogged up and it...

First of all, there's nothing wrong with doing good deeds to other teams in the middle of The Amazing Race. It's happened time and time again. There are the alliances (of sorts, since I don't think that exists in the show) and there are the people you do good to because you just plain like them. Crushes, yup.
And then there was last night's episode, where I saw an unusually high number of good deeds being done. I did list it down, right? Tiffany helped with a ladle during the Roadblock. The Globetrotters warned of a really cold ski resort (although admittedly, Mika and Canaan should know that). Sam and Dan staying behind when the poker players' car started leaking. And then there's Brian, who helped from the airport to the desert to the ski resort, all in a belief that karma will pay them back with good tidings--which happened,...
