- Honest is a directing team comprised of Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion. They met at art school and soon after graduating launched their creative firm. While working in design and motion graphics, they developed non-client work such as a magazine, short films, music videos, painting and art installations.
Eventually their animation and live-action directing experiments led to opportunities to write and direct films for interesting brands who were attracted to their unique creative talents and innovative ideas.
For Nike's "Art of Speed" and Diesel's "Dreams" campaigns, they produced, wrote and directed films on a given theme. The results were "The Shortest Race" and "Falling Man." Both films established them as directors that like to mix a sly sense of humor with genre bending concepts. The films were huge successes for Nike and Diesel and were seen around the world in film festivals and online video channels.
Using these projects as a foundation for their directing career, they have developed work with Panasonic, MSN, multiple Nike projects and many more exciting brands like Checkers, a fast food chain, who they created the viral sensation Rapcat for. Recent projects include a series of films for Lean Pockets 'Moment with Heidi' campaign; the direction and production of films for GE's Innovation initiative and a short film called 'Boob' that was selected to the SXSW Film Festival, IFFBoston, and Gen Art Film Festival, among others.
Honest's work has been recognized with multiple projects short listed at Cannes, being featured in Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors and Shots New Directors Showcase, nominated for the National Design Award, Webby Award nominations, and being selected for the ADC Young Gun Awards.
