Violet Chachki, drag star and winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race season seven, made history as the first drag queen to model in a women’s lingerie campaign. Chachki is the featured model for the “Never the Girl Next Door” campaign for Bettie Page Lingerie, a line by the London-based lingerie brand Playful Promises.
In an exclusive interview with Et, Chachki said that it felt “amazing” getting to model for this campaign. “I would have never imagined, when I first started performing as a drag queen, that this would ever happen. It’s surreal.”
The lingerie found in the new collection is vintage in style, featuring such items like structured corselettes, spiral stitched bullet bras, high-waisted briefs and satin robes. “It’s very graphic and playful,” Chachki said. “That’s what I really love about glamour and drag; it’s about celebrating femininity and fun, while being really provocative.”

Working in the beauty and fashion department of a magazine, you get early access to beauty product launches that have people lined up around the block, so it’s easy to get a little jaded. But Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty launch last month had all of us practically tackling the messengers for a first look. And we weren’t alone in our excitement: Fans mobbed Sephoras and the brand’s famous 40-shade foundation line was quick to sell out. So when the brand’s holiday collection, which just hit Sephora today, arrived on our desks, it seemed only fair to...

I’d like to pose a vote to our readers in two roles that an actor’s been in and you be the judge of which role you liked better. The exercise will be to make the decision tough. I’m going to make sure that the roles in question are both strong performances and that most of us would agree were excellent roles in the careers of the actors. Today I’m going to start with Timothy Olyphant. Was he better in the movie Go or the movie Girl

Emile Hirsch keeps himself busy these days, but he’s not always making movies. The 31-year-old actor recently finished the first draft of a novel, completed a screenplay, and spends a lot of time painting still lifes in his backyard.
Meanwhile, he’s acting in a wider range of projects than ever before. A versatile performer known for immersing himself in his roles, he currently stars opposite Brian Cox in the minimalist horror-drama “The Autopsy of Jane Doe,” opening December 21, and has a range of projects — from a buddy comedy with Jk Simmons to a sweeping China-set period drama with an otherwise Asian cast—scheduled for 2017.
“The work itself is the goal,” he said, settling into Brooklyn eatery Sisters after a long day promoting “Jane Doe” in Manhattan. He was in the midst of a monthlong break from the novel, following the advice of Stephen King’s “On Writing,” his favorite guidebook.

Vikander at the SAG Awards where she won Best Supporting ActressWhen I sat down with Alicia Vikander to discuss her career she was full of surprises, and not just in the way she answered questions. She approached in what looked like the simplest black dress, nothing special at all, until she turned around and the dress had an elaborately elegant back with a trailing bow. She promptly plopped down in a chair, opened a small bag of chips, and began munching away. She's a vision, alright, but the vision kept shifting: Unadorned Beauty, Glamorous Star, Girl Next Door.
This hard to pin down picture shouldn't come as a surprise. In the short time we've been watching her she's been equally believable as a sly robot, a conflicted Danish queen, a debutate Russian aristocrat, a bohemian artist whose world is turned upside down, and a British writer during wartime.

Over the course of the awards season so far, specifically during the precursors, no one has had a quicker ride to the top tier of contention than Paul Dano. Originally, it seemed like his excellent work in Love & Mercy was destined to be overlooked, but then something interesting happened…he started getting nominated, as well as winning in certain places. Now, he’s a legitimate threat to be nominated at the Academy Awards. I’m thrilled that such a good performance in such a small film is catching on, so it begs the question…have we been underestimating Dano the whole time? Let’s discuss that a bit now! This is the story of Brian Wilson the frontman for the Beach Boys. The movie shows us him in the 1960’s as an emerging superstar before mental illness gets the best of him, as well as in the 1980’s when he...

To be clear, voters weren't asked for honorable mentions specifically; but a handful felt strongly enough about their "bubbling under" choices to list them anyway (which proved extraordinarily useful in helping break ties on the Top 100). However, people often tend to forget that La also acts as the home to another, more salacious, film industry. Now, in a situation straight out of The Girl Next Door, the porn industry has come into conflict with the La school system. A school official released a statement on the matter: It is important that we ensure teaching and learning are not disrupted, and that all filming activity is appropriate for our schools. Night of the Living Deb, directed by Kyle Rankin starring Maria Thayer (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Michael Cassidy (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice), Christopher Marquette (Just Friends, The Girl Next Door) and Ray Wise (Infestation, Twin Peaks).

2011's R-rated raunchy-sports-comedy-with-a-heart-of-gold Goon is the latest comedy to be getting a sequel. And while law of averages are not in its favor when it comes to comedy sequels, Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel, Liev Schreiber and Alison Pill are all set to return and throw around hockey pucks as much as they do certain four-letter words in Goon: Last of the Enforcers. Joining them inside the ice rink, however, is Elisha Cuthbert. The "24" and Girl Next Door star joins the movie to play Pill's outlandish sister. Pill plays Eva, the love interest to rising hockey star Doug "The Thug" Glatt (Scott). This new movie finds Doug and his team, Halifax Highlanders, working with a variety of new players during a pro lockout. So it looks like Cutherbert isn't the only newbie in the Goon universe, and with production to begin on June 21 in Toronto under producers David Gross, Jesse Shapira and Jeff Arkuss,...

Lots of filmmakers can say Steven Spielberg influenced them. But there are select few who can point to a more direct interaction. One such example is Let’s Be Cops Luke Greenfield who has just seen a long-gestating script called Destiny bought by DreamWorks. Not much is known about the basic concept beyond the pitch line reported by Deadline: a supernatural love story about a struggling designer who must overcome his fears and uncertainty. But the connection runs much deeper than a deal with Spielberg’s company. It was born from the then 16-year-old Greenfield’s mother writing to Spielberg enclosing copies of her son’s Super 8 movies and asking the man behind E.T. and Jurassic Park if he thought Greenfield had what it took as a filmmaker. Spielberg responded with a two-page letter of encouragement and advice and that led Greenfield to a career in films. Fast-forward to...

DreamWorks has set Luke Greenfield, the director behind Let’s Be Cops and The Girl Next Door, to direct a script he co-wrote with Dana Stevens (The Dive) called Destiny. The deal brings him under the wing of Steven Spielberg, the legendary helmer who encouraged a teenage Greenfield to pursue filmmaking way back in the ’90s.
At the age of 16, Greenfield began an unlikely correspondence with Spielberg when the teen’s mother sent him a package containing Greenfield’s Super-8 films and asked whether her son had the stuff of a future filmmaker. Spielberg received the films, watched them and replied with a two-page letter offering storytelling tips and pushing Greenfield to pursue his passion – which he did.
When The Girl Next Door came out 16 years later, Spielberg asked Greenfield to come in for a meeting. On realizing that their paths had indirectly crossed before, the Jurassic Park helmer asked...

After making some brilliant films in Bollywood, the director decided to pursue a long held dream of making a film in Hollywood. What is even cooler is that he is just not producing the film, he also wrote and directed the thriller titled Broken Horses. The film stars a huge cast of Hollywood stars including Vincent D’Onofrio (The Judge, Full Metal Jacket, Men In Black), Anton Yelchin (Star Trek, Alpha Dog) and Chris Marquette (Alpha Dog, The Girl Next Door) along with Spanish actress, Maria Valverde (Exodus), Thomas Jane, and Sean Patrick Flannery.

Austin, Texas -- Maybe for the first time in his entertainment career, Miles Teller knows much of what he's "doing" for the next four or so years. He just boarded bank robber flick “Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang" as producer and lead. Fresh off of Oscar season with "Whiplash," the 28-year-old actor headed right into promotions for "The Divergent Series: Insurgent," out tomorrow (March 20), the second movie in a four-film adaptation. His turn as Mister Fantastic in "The Fantastic Four" films will take him on a two-movie ride, at least. "Bleed for This" -- which will feature Teller portraying boxer Vinny Panzienza -- is out later this year, "Arms and the Dudes" is due 2016 and there are a few other flicks in the development hopper. Even for a schedule so busy, Teller looked at least like he was trying to relax, sinking into a wicker patio chair in...

She’s come a long way since her “24” days and Elisha Cuthbert looks marvelous on the front of the April 2015 issue of Fashion magazine.
In her cover story, the “Happy Endings” actress talks about her evolving relationship with fashion- “I can’t believe how fearless I was. Under the age of 25, I didn’t care what I wore. Now I sit in front of the mirror and think, ‘What lipstick should I wear?’ I just have much more knowledge. It can make you insecure.”
Elisha also discusses the most awkward film she’s made thus far- “The Girl Next Door [released in 2004] took me so far out of my comfort zone. The provocativeness that I had to exude in that film was daring… especially at my age at that time. I was twenty and I barely knew who I was. It was weird. A densely-packed dive into the world of teen movies from '90s to present, documentary Beyond Clueless will hit all the right notes for those with an affinity for Cher Horowitz, Cady Heron and their spiritual brothers and sisters.
The Kickstarter-backed project, directed by Ultra Culture founder Charlie Lyne, ditches the conventional talking heads approach to get under the skin of the genre and examine how they relate to the adolescent audiences who hoover them up.
Narrating it all is Fairuza Balk, star of '90s favourite The Craft, lending her husky tones to guide us through a maze of high school, raging hormones and rites of passage tales. Footage from north of 200 films are included, with Lyne spreading into subgenres like horror (Idle Hands,...

Mercy (2014)
Written by: Matt Greenberg, Stephen King (Short Story)
Directed by: Peter Cornwell
Cast: Chandler Riggs (George), Dylan McDermott (Jim Swann), Mark Duplass (Uncle Lanning), Francess O’Connor (Rebecca), Joel Courtney (Buddy), Hana Hayes (Girl Next Door), Amanda Walsh (Charlotte), Chris Browning (Frank), Shirley Knight (Mercy)
If you notice from the credits, “Mercy” is a feature length film that is based on a short story from the modern day master of horror himself, Stephen King. In my humble opinion, I don’t think that Stephen King is one of those guys who you either love or hate. Regardless, of whether you judge him exclusively within the horror genre or when films based on his work crossed out of horror, such as “The Green Mile”. There is something from Stephen King for everyone, and at least one of the many things he wrote that resonates...

During “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” the 29-year-old “Kendra” starlet chatted about her naiveté as a then-18-year-old party girl.

The Tweeks would not exist without Archie. These were our first comics and we loved them. We still love them. Archie taught us to love comics and teen drama. So this week we talk all about Archie and make a case for the few kids out there who haven’t read Archie for whatever reason to get on it. We also review Afterlife with Archie (we admit, we were afraid to read it!) and Diary of a Girl Next Door: Betty.
