- In spite of spending extensive time pursuing stunt and commercial work as a Parkour athlete, Dunlap claims his intention was always to use Parkour as a tool for jump starting an acting career. After he landed a role in Grimm (2011), Dunlap said, "It made me realize I didn't need Parkour or a special 'in' to be an actor. I realized I could just act and find success through focusing on the craft.".

- In 2008, Dunlap founded one of the first Parkour gyms in the USA called "Revolution Parkour." Dunlap sold the company in 2011 in order to move to France and work with the founder of Parkour, David Belle.
