This morning we’ve finally learned through Netflix’s “What’s Next” announcement that the buzzy horror title is finally set to make a 2024 debut.

But when these occurrences reveal to be demonic, Ebony not only has to battle the system for her children, but she soon finds herself in a spiritual battle against a demon for her faith, her life, and for the souls of her children. 20th Television is singing “Who Can I Turn To” now that Hulu is no longer moving forward with its planned limited series about Sammy Davis Jr. Deadline reported Hulu’s decision on Friday, adding that 20th Television is launching an “aggressive effort” to find the series a new home, with plans to “attach additional high-level talent” to lure prospective buyers. The news comes a year and a half after Hulu ordered the series, which comes from co-creators and former Empire colleagues Lee Daniels and Thomas Westfall. The series is based on the Wil Haygood biography In Black and White: The Life of Sammy Davis Jr.and stars Elijah Kelley (pictured at left below) as the famed singer. Exclusive: Hulu is not proceeding with its planned limited series about Sammy Davis Jr., starring Elijah Kelley as the Candy Man, from Lee Daniels and 20th Television.
I hear 20th Television will be shopping the project to other buyers and plans to attach additional high-level talent before taking it out as part of an aggressive effort to find a new home.
The studio recently was able to set another streaming series, The Spiderwick Chronicles (co-production with lead studio Paramount TV Studios), at Roku, following Disney+’s decision not to move forward with it.
The pickup reversals for both shows come amid a content spend cut across all divisions of Hulu and Disney+ parent Disney, which the company announced earlier this year. Additionally, all media companies have been reevaluating their streaming strategies by cutting programming costs with a renewed focus on profitability.

This article contains spoilers for Quantum Leap season 2 episode 4 and the finale of the original Quantum Leap series.
“Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home.”
These are the words that ended the original Quantum Leap series. Sam (Scott Bakula), who’d been leaping from life to life, was informed in the final episode that he finally had control over his leaps. That he could leap home if he wanted to. The thought of this tempted Sam but instead he leapt back in time to help his longtime friend, Al (Dean Stockwell.) What happened to Sam after that has remained a mystery, with the final title card informing us Sam never got home being our only clue.
It’s an understatement to say that his devastated fans of the original series. Why would the story end on such a down note? Surely there must be some other way to interpret it. Maybe...

It takes some true dialogue-forging skill to drop tiny details into conversation without drawing a lot of attention only to become incredibly significant later on.
Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 2 is rife with finesse as it pilots Ben through a classic catastrophe-aversion leap while providing catch-up on the lives of the rest of the Ql team.
Moreover, it introduces Peter Gadiot's character, Tom Westfall, in a benevolently ambiguous manner. While his appearance bears little likeness to his recent One Piece character, I suspect Tom will be just as full of surprises.
It goes to show how well the show's creators shaped the characters and relationships throughout Quantum Leap Season 1 that bringing a new face onto the team immediately triggers the stranger danger alert in our head.
Nothing about Tom's behavior indicates he is anything but supportive and understanding, but he sets off all sorts of alarms.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 2 “Ben & Teller.”] In the first season of Quantum Leap, Ben (Raymond Lee) and Addison (Caitlin Bassett) were kept apart by his jumps and the fact that he lost his memory. Now, in Season 2, the team knows he’s alive (after being missing and presumed dead for three years), but that doesn’t mean the (formerly engaged) couple can just pick up where they left off, even if he does remember everything now. Rather, as the second episode reveals, Addison’s now in a relationship with Tom Westfall (Peter Gadiot), a former special forces soldier and a high-ranking US Army Officer in the realm of Army Intelligence. They’d known each other for years, and she credits him with helping her remember what it is to be alive and happy again after thinking Ben was dead and the darkest two years of her life. “It was very...

The Quantum Leap project has been kept well under wraps ... until now.
NBC shared the official trailer for Quantum Leap Season 2 on Monday, and it teases Ben filling in someone about his time-traveling job.
In the new footage, Ben tells Hannah (played by The 100's Eliza Taylor) all about it.
As previously reported, Taylor is one of two new series regulars this season, so we're inclined to believe Ben and Hannah will be spending a lot of time together.
Peter Gadiot is the other new addition as US Army Officer Tom Westfall.
The exciting new footage teases leaps to Egypt in 1961, the Los Angeles Riots in 1992 Koreatown, a UFO investigation in 1949 New Mexico, witch trials in 1692 Massachusetts, and more.
If you watch Quantum Leap online, you know the leaps keep the show fresh because they offer new locations and time periods for the characters.

There are a couple new characters coming in for Quantum Leap Season 2 whose descriptions leave us with questions. Peter Gadiot and Eliza Taylor have joined the NBC drama, which will return on Wednesday, October 4, as series regulars. Taylor’s Hannah Carson is said to be “a complex young woman who may be more than she appears”; we’ll meet her in the third episode. And Gadiot’s Tom Westfall is “a US Army Officer, former special forces, now high up in Army Intelligence.” He is “thoughtful, centered, a spiritual kind of warrior who both men and women admire, but whose humility keeps him from ever being arrogant” and “will take on a crucial role overseeing the project.” So now we have to wonder: What’s Hannah hiding? Will we meet her with Ben (Raymond Lee), last seen trying to find his way home, or with his team, aiming to get him back?...
