Neil Lane is as much of a Bachelor Nation fixture as host Chris Harrison. In a number of seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, the jeweler has provided a selection of engagement rings to propose with at the end of the show. Though in Clare Crawley and Dale Moss's case this season, the proposal didn't exactly come at the end of the show - it was more like the beginning. Nevertheless, Neil supplied the engagement ring for Dale to get down on one knee and propose to bachelorette Clare.
The real question is: Is someone paying for these rings? Neil's gorgeous diamond engagement rings range in price from a somewhat affordable $15,000 to well over $100,000, which makes you wonder who is footing the bill for this each season. Is it ABC? Is it part of the production cost for the show? Certainly the contestants on the show aren't expected to pay these prices.

Sadly, more often than not, The Bachelor couples and The Bachelorette couples don't make for the long haul. Breakups aren't easy, especially on national television, but it's even worse when you have to hand over your beautiful Neil Lane diamond engagement ring.
The women who receive a ring don't necessarily get to keep it. Of course, if the couple stays together, the ring stays on their finger. However, if the couple breaks up, you have to look at the timeline.
"Neil probably does get the rings back, he just doesn't even know it," Chris Harrison told Entertainment Weekly. "There's some rule, I don't know what it is, honestly, what the contract is, but after a certain number of years or whatever, you get to keep it anyway. But if it's like months, then, you know, it's a $10,000 or $15,000 or $20,000 ring, it comes back."
Now we don't know if Chris is being coy,...

It's been more than 10 years since DeAnna Pappas was given a shot at love as ABC's The Bachelorette. And even after all this time, the former reality star often gets asked one specific question. "People always ask me if I went on for the right reasons and as dumb as it sounds and as cliché as it sounds, I really did," DeAnna shared with E! News exclusively earlier this month at Unicon 2018—The Unicorn Mom's Convention. "I was sold on the love story and the happy ending." As viewers recall, DeAnna originally didn't receive a final rose from Brad Womack. And while she experienced a proposal from runner-up Jason Mesnick and winner Jesse Csincsak on The...

The first reactions are pouring in from critics who have seen “Blade Runner 2049,” and to call them “great” would be a massive understatement. Words like “masterpiece” are being thrown around by more than one critic when talking about Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated sequel, which means you’ll probably want to order tickets right now to what is shaping up to be the most acclaimed blockbuster of the fall.
“Blade Runner 2049” is set thirty years after the events of Ridley Scott’s groundbreaking original. The plot concerns Ryan Gosling’s Officer K, a member of the Los Angeles Police Department who is tasked with finding the missing Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) in an attempt to save humanity from a replicant manufacturer named Niander Wallace, played by Jared Leto. The supporting cast includes Robin Wright, David Bautista, and Mackenzie Davis.

Even though Netflix has started to cancel its underperforming series in earnest, that doesn’t mean it lacks for programming. In fact, its slate of offerings is fuller than ever, which makes it difficult for viewers to choose when faced with an embarrassment of bingeable riches.
Netflix’s foreign series, however, rarely get promotion amidst all of the other American shows that have been produced. Although IndieWire has previously provided handy lists of foreign-language series a couple of times, including other imports, that is only a hint of all offerings available.

“Breaking Bad” fans may want to invest in Sony PlayStation Vr sooner rather than later. Variety has confirmed that series creator Vince Gilligan is developing a “Breaking Bad” virtual reality project, which is being described as more of an experience for the Sony platform and not a Vr game. That’s about all the information that is known at this point, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see if the project will continue the story where it left off (perhaps following Jesse Pinkman) or simply be set in the “Breaking Bad” universe.

The 3rd July 2013 saw the release of Disney's The Lone Ranger, its larger-than-life western starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. Its theatrical debut marked the end of a lengthy and difficult production, stories from which had been hungrily served up by the media - the previous summer was dominated by news stories of its spiralling budget, which was thought to have crossed $250m. Nevertheless, the 2013 blockbuster season should, in theory, have marked a fresh start for Disney, as it spent a reported $150m on marketing The Lone Ranger. But the House of Mouse hadn't counted on the popularity of another film launched on that exact same day in July: Universal's animated sequel, Despicable Me 2.

The best movie culture writing from around the internet-o-sphere. There will be a quiz later. Just leave a tab open for us, will ya? “Pre-Code: Hollywood before the censors” — Mike Mashon and James Bell at Sight and Sound go longform to celebrate the sexy, gangster-y glory of a storytelling system before the ethical handcuffs were slapped on. “Even when prostitution isn’t obviously suggested, the pursuit of other vices could bring women characters low. Among the rawest of all the pre-Code pictures, Mervyn LeRoy’s Three on a Match (1932), about the varying fortunes of three women (Ann Dvorak, Joan Blondell and Bette Davis), crams a roll-call of forbidden themes into little more than an hour: infidelity, alcoholism, child abuse, gangsterism, undressing, drug use… The magnificent Dvorak steals the show as the lawyer’s tragic wife who sinks into a life of vice and crime.” “Adam Sandler’s Bad New Movie Made Me Cry Like Nothing Else Before...

Made nine years apart from each other, Richard Linklater's "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset" hold a very special place in the hearts of many, in terms of contemporary romances. The first film, released in 1995, saw Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy play twentysomethings who spend a night together in Vienna after meeting by chance on a train. Nine years later, the second film saw them meet up in Paris, older and a little wiser. And last summer, Linklater reunited his stars, now in their 40s, for "Before Midnight," the third in the series, shot secretly in Greece and only announced once production was underway. The film premiered at Sundance back in January to some ecstatic reviews (and some more measured ones, like our own), and now you can get a look at the film for yourself, as Yahoo just premiered the first trailer for the picture. The film picks up...

Though Summer's lioness analogy is not correct - prides have multiple female lions all the time, with usually only one or two male lions.

Chase picks Jenna, who looks a lot like Ali in the face, actually; Ryan chooses Natalie; Jesse picks Melissa and Tara is ready to claw her eyes out; Jason picks Vanessa; Ken chooses Lindsey, which leaves Boobs McGee with Ben - and Jenny looks so, so sad. She puts on a brave front, but she looks crushed. Don't worry, Jenny, you are so much prettier than her.
When Jenny gets back to the lean-to, she tries to strong arm Boobs about her connection with Ben, but it's not confident enough.

Former 'Bachelorette' winner Jesse Csincsak tells HollywoodLife.com that Courtney's naked stunts are 'red flags' -- and suggest which girls he thinks Ben should really take home to meet his mom. Courtney Robertson has no reservations when it comes to winning -- and Bachelor Ben Flajnik is clearly falling for her deceptive ways. Courtney is constantly taking her clothes off for Ben. Former Bachelorette winner Jesse Csincsak thinks that Courtney's provocative behavior has gone too far. "Courtney [always] getting naked is a red flag," Jesse tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. "The fact that she's trying to get in Ben's pants -- what girl do you want to take home to mom that acts like a stripper in front of 15 million people?" Courtney is the one choosing to act so crazy. "There's no way an editor can make her take her clothes off or say what she says," says Jesse. Lindzi Cox or...

On Jan. 8, 2012, in a television series seemingly about corporate greed and rampant sexuality -- Showtime's new series House of Lies, starring Don Cheadle -- a very unconventional child character made his debut on American television: Marty Kaan, the main character in House of Lies, stalwartly goes to bat for his gender-nonconforming, 12-year-old son Roscoe. Roscoe wears skirts and drapes himself in shimmery scarves. He has a major goal: to get picked for the part of Sandy in his school's production of Grease. And he gets the part, until a mother complains -- it's a girl's part, after all. Marty is befuddled by his son's gender transgressions, but Marty's own wise father, a retired mental health professional, offers his son sound counsel: just let Roscoe be who he is.
Marty and Roscoe are only fictional characters. But they mirror the challenges that are facing real families and real classrooms all around the country and beyond.

Former 'Bachelorette' contestant Jesse Csincsak says Ben has no idea how manipulative Courtney is. Fans of The Bachelor probably cringe when they see Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson get closer because of how nasty Courtney is with the other girls. Former Bachelor contestant Shawntel Newton from Brad Womack's season made a surprising visit to the set of Ben Flajnik's season to try her chances at winning his love. The Bachelor 2012 has possible lesbian plot in place just to stir up drama. As previously reported, the new,16th season of ABC's The Bachelor premiered this past Monday night, and featured two chicks,in particular, named Monica and Blakeley, who really seemed to be more into each other than they would ever be in the Bachelor Ben Flajnik. In fact, they barely uttered a word to him in the footage that was shown. So how Ben even picked them to stay past the first round, is a mystery to me,or maybe not. Apparently, Hollywood Life has gotten some inside scoopage from a previous Bachelorette contestant/winner named Jesse Csincsak, who speculates that the whole lesbo thing was probably staged by the producers. He said, "I think Monica and Blakeley are there for the simple fact to stir up drama. They are being kept there by producers." So,wow. It...

We start the Top 7. You finish the Top 10.
Real time – in which the plot of the film covers the same amount of time as it takes to watch – can be a blessing or a curse. When a film calls attention to it, real time can become a gimmicky distraction. On the other hand, it can add a real sense of urgency if the film just allows the events to unfold before us. There are a number of different ways filmmakers use it. For example, the action may be primarily set in one location. Other ways it is used involve hostage situations, characters waiting for something, or simply following characters around from place to place. It can be a tricky thing to pull off perfectly. So I’m deciding that as long as the film makes a real attempt, and the majority of the action takes place in real time, it is fair game.

Before I begin, let me thank Heather Hogan for stepping in last week when my power went out. I believe in retrospect it was the gods showing mercy to me by not making me recap what I now firmly believe to be the worst-structured, most badly-written, pointless, plotless episode in the history of Glee, with the sole exception of Santana's amazing scene in which she comes out to, and is rejected by, her abuela.
It didn't help my evaluation of the episode when its author, Matthew Hodgson, took to Twitter last night to opine that those of us who want to see Brittany and Santana kiss should realize that they've already kissed last season in "Duets." He was joined by fellow newbie writer Michael Hitchcock, who decided to tell a fan she "must not have watched the show" if she didn't think they'd kissed.
I'm not sure how they define...
