We told you about Joston Theney's sequel to his flick Axeman, entitled Axeman 2: Overkill, a few weeks back; and right now we have an exclusive interview with star Rachel Reilly ("Big Brother," "The Amazing Race") to share.
Dread Central: Mum's been the word with the producers, Joston "El Rey" Theney and Dr. Christopher Otiko, so. What can you tell us about the film?
Rachel Reilly: The film is reminiscent of a 1980s slasher film. It has a witty script and is really fun, action-packed, and of course scary. You're going to laugh and have to cover your eyes! It's everything you want in a horror flick! They take the killings to a whole new level.
DC: You play "Breaker" in the film. What can you tell us about the character? How does she fit into this world?
Rr: Breaker is one badass chic whose only loyalty is to a paycheck!

We told you about Joston Theney's sequel to his flick Axeman, entitled Axeman 2: Overkill, a couple of weeks back; and right now we have the first ever interview with star Angelica Bridges ("Baywatch," "The Bold and The Beautiful").
Dread Central: The producers, Joston "El Rey" Theney and Dr. Christopher Otiko, have been a little tight-lipped about the script. What can you tell us about the film?
Angelica Bridges: I don't want to give out too many of the gory details, but I will say they are going for more horror, if that's even possible. They will be taking the "killings" in the film to a whole other level of profoundness! People that usually don't ever cover their eyes while watching horror films will probably be starting a new trend after watching this film.
DC: You play "Dungie" in the film. What can you tell us about the character?...

We live in a world in which the next generation will never understand or get the concept of free love. In the Sixties and Seventies you could hump freely with pregnancy and minor Std's being your only worry. It's amazing how that generation has grown up into such stodgy old pricks with sticks up their asses.
In any event, on tap right now we have your first look at the Seventies / Eighties inspired flick Rabid Love directed and written by Paul J. Porter for Rogue Taurus Productions and Bar Productions in Association with Open Wound Films.
Director Paul Porter wrote in to let us know some pretty interesting news to boot!
"Rabid Love has secured U.S. Theatrical distribution" writes Porter. "This doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to go to just any theater and see the movie, but it does mean that we have signed a contract...

Filmmaker Brendan Gabriel Murphy
By Terry Keefe
Very occasionally, we here at The Interview run across an up-and-coming talent that deserves inclusion amongst the more established names we generally tackle. Filmmaker Brendan Gabriel Murphy has got youth on his side, along with an eye which has produced some very striking, and unique, imagery in the two short films that we had a chance to see (Swerve and Perceptio). It's the rare short that makes you want to see what the director could do with a feature, but Murphy fits that bill.
He's also got an interesting on-screen collaborator in actor Shiloh Fernandez, who made his film debut in Murphy's 2005 short, Wasted. Fernandez is one of this year's true rising acting stars, having just landed a lead in the reboot of the Evil Dead franchise. Murphy is currently developing a feature entitled Obscura, which will star Fernandez as well.
