BioWare isn't about to give up on Anthem, and the studio "looks forward to showing players the new content."
Despite the mixed responses to Anthem and the reports of a troubled development at BioWare, the company doesn't intend to give up on its soaring shooter game any time soon.
"We remain 100% committed to Anthem and look forward to showing players the new content we are working on," Chad Robertson, BioWare's Head of Live Service, said on Twitter. "We want to make sure we aren’t overpromising, so our updates on what’s coming in the game will be focused when we have things near completion."
In a second Tweet, he added this: "Along with [Ben Irving, the lead producer on Anthem,] and I, we've got a big team between Austin and Edmonton focused and motivated for improving the game. We appreciate your support and for being on this journey with us.

Former BioWare lead designer James Ohlen will serve as head of Archetype Entertainment, and the studio is already working on a new RPG.
James Ohlen, the lead designer on many BioWare classics like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur's Gate, and Dragon Age: Origins, joined Wizards of the Coast last year, and we now know he will serve as head of the new studio opening in Austin, Texas called Archetype Entertainment.
Ohlen will be joined by fellow ex-BioWare employee Chad Robertson who served as BioWare's studio director from 2017-2019. Robertson will serve as General Manager of the new studio while Ohlen is identified as the head of Archetype Entertainment.
There's not much information available regarding what the pair will work on first, but it's been noted that it will be a choice-based sci-fi role-playing title that is "set in an all-new science fiction universe." This...

You'll have to wait a little longer for Anthem's Cataclysm event as BioWare is focusing instead on making improvements.
BioWare has announced that a number of the planned updates for Anthem have been delayed.
"While we have delivered many of the Act 1 features on time, we are not going to hit all the goals on our Act 1 Calendar," BioWare's Ben Irving and Chad Robertson wrote in a recent Reddit post. "We have been prioritizing things like bug fixes, stability, and game flow over the new features of Act 1. We set aside time for this work, but the reality is there are more things to fix and improve than we planned for. While this is the best thing to do for the game, it means some items from the calendar will be delayed."
The BioWare representatives then list some of the previously planned content that will be delayed.

Anthem's next 90 days will be loaded with fresh Dlc.
BioWare has revealed Anthem's BioWare's 90-day roadmap as the studio prepares to greatly expand the game's content over the next few months.
"I look at today from two perspectives," says Chad Robertson, BioWare's head of live service, via a recent blog post. "As a gamer, I’m excited by what we’ve created with Anthem and the promise it carries for a long future behind the game’s lush world, immersive lore, rich characters, and core gameplay. As a developer, I know we’ve worked hard to strike a balance of engaging BioWare story combined with fun action-gameplay and multi-player progression; I also know how much more we want to bring to the game."
According to this update, BioWare will spend much of the next couple of months expanding upon Anthem's initial content offerings. That includes new...

BioWare apologizes for Anthem's start but believe the best is yet to come.
BioWare has apologized for Anthem's recent VIP demo following a very rough start.
"Yesterday was rocky," said BioWare's head of live service, Chad Robertson, via the BioWare blog. "We’ve been testing the entire game and platform for several months, but there were a few things we missed; real-world play frequently leads to unexpected issues."
Robertson goes on to elaborate on some of the game's issues, which he claims are not tied to BioWare under-planning for server capacity. He claims that BioWare planned to manage the servers as the in-game population grew and that the studio actually ended up with excess server space. Instead, the connection problems that plagued the demo can be traced to a series of bugs and oversights.

The Lunchbox (movie)
It’s almost a given that a love for Indian cinema will eventually lead to a love of Indian food – so it’s no surprise that the Tiff Bell Lightbox has chosen to open their Food on Film series – a six-film event exploring food through film — with Ritesh Batra’s delightful 2013 film The Lunchbox. The film is lovely and funny and incredibly touching, and shows how a mis-delivered tiffin (lunchbox) brings together two seemingly disparate people — a neglected housewife (Nimrat Kaur) and a gruff widower (Irrfan Khan) on the verge of retirement from his civil service job — together.
Added to the joy of seeing a film is the fact that the series features a line-up of culinary experts who will engage in discussion of the films culinary themes, led by Toronto CBC morning host Matt Galloway.

The team over at Vice are hosting a bunch of images made up from different artists like Rue Morgue alumni Justin Erickson (who has made some great Mondo posters) as well as Ponyboy, Sam Taylor, Chad Robertson, and Jeff Stevens (who created the header image). This is all to promote Lionsgate’s new film Texas Chainsaw 3D (which we have free tickets for readers who reside in St. Louis). Some of the work looks great and apparently Lionsgate will print these in some sort of fashion in the near future. For now, check out the slideshow which can be found at Vice.com or just click on the link below.
Texas Chainsaw 3D will be out in theatres on January 4th, 2013

Nothing makes a better gift than a lushly illustrated and deliciously written new cookbook. From a famous baker to the best restaurant in the world, The Daily Beast picks the best cookbooks of the year.
Cookbooks make great gifts-both for avid cooks and for avid eaters. This past year's crop of cookbooks has enough delicious recipes to keep one eating and experimenting well into 2011. They've reflected both the vogue for all things sustainable and local and the ever wider-ranging modern American palate. Perhaps somewhat paradoxically, Caesar salad is big again, as are all forms of baked eggs. Authors like David Tanis (A Platter of Figs), Chad Robertson (Tartine), Skye Gyngell (A Year in My Kitchen) have returned to the scene with smashing followup books.

The aliens from Sony's "District 9" scored big during The Hollywood Reporter's 39th annual Key Art Awards.
Honoring the best in movie marketing, Friday's event at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles saw "District 9" take home 11 awards, including the best-in-show prize for its integrating marketing campaigning as well as three other best-in-show laurels for its outdoor advertising (built around its "Bus Stop for Humans Bus Shelter"), TV spots and digital campaign.
The awards ceremony culminated with Sylvester Stallone receiving the Visionary Award, given annually to a filmmaker who inspires movie marketers.
"At the end of the day, there is no question that Sylvester Stallone delivers great product," THR publisher Lori Burgess said before calling Stallone to the candlelit stage at what once was the altar of the former St. Vibiana Roman Catholic cathedral, which has been converted to a party space. "He's put his stamp on film like very few people of his generation.
