- Continued to take dance and writing classes after the age of 90.

- Has been a resident of the City of Menlo Park, San Mateo County, California, USA, since 1954. Menlo Park is on the southeastern shore of the San Francisco Bay, about 2/3 of the way from San Francisco to San Jose, where she lived in the neighborhood of Sharon Heights/Stanford Hills.

- Dick Van Dyke considers her to be his first (leading) lady. They co-starred together in a daily local access live one-hour television variety show produced by the local television station.
- She continued to take twice per week tap dancing lessons into her 90s.
- She had one child, a son, Allison Hoyle Adams, who died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as ALS, but best known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), years before her own death in 2014. She was survived by her grandson, Kristian Kearton.
