Two months after pushing the remainder of his tour to next year due to a medical condition, Bruce Springsteen returned to the concert stage Monday night at New York’s David Geffen Hall as part of the Stand Up For Heroes benefit. He’s played practically every year since the annual event began back in 2007, but he wasn’t on the official bill this year since he originally had a show booked that night in Edmonton, Alberta.

Charity events are in full swing along with gala celebrations bringing together actors, artists, musicians and (of course) drag queens. Meanwhile, movies are pushing for awards consideration and hoping for some box office love from actual theatergoers. It’s a typical November in Tinseltown and beyond. Our favorite famous faces are out and about, giving back while campaigning for both box office wins and end-of-year awards love, too.

In the past 14 years, Stand Up for Heroes — the annual benefit presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival — has raised $60 million to help veterans, service members and their families overcome whatever hardships they’re facing.
“In the beginning, it was a lot of visible wounds, amputation and burns and traumatic brain injury, like I had,” says Bob Woodruff, who’d been covering the war in Iraq for ABC News when his armored vehicle was hit by a bomb in 2006. “Then we moved toward post-traumatic stress and their invisible wounds. … In the last year and a half, it’s been largely concentrating on the impact of Covid. And we have a lot more depression that has now been triggered by the withdrawal out of Afghanistan. The people served for 20 years and it ended very quickly and unexpectedly.”

Was Kate Gosselin fired from a job she never really had? A recent report claimed that reality television's most famous mother of eight was given the boot from a still-in-development View-esque talk show fronted by Food Network cooking queen Paula Deen because she's "too controversial." A source now tells me that Gosselin was never considered a serious contender to permanently join the chatfest panel consisting of Deen, former Early Show cohost Rene Syler, Lee Woodruff and comedian Judy Gold… "She was never contracted to be on the panel," the source says. "She was just meant to be a guest." Perhaps her personality wasn't big enough for the table,...

Kate Gosselin is too controversial for her new TV show. The "Jon & Kate Plus 8" reality show star was reportedly kicked out of a new planned talk show because bosses thought she was too controversial.
According to RadarOnline.com, Kate filmed a pilot for a Momlogic TV pilot in early September. She joined Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and Rene Syler for the show described as "The View" for working moms.
The planned show was designed to talk about subjects such as teen pregnancy, and was scheduled to be sold at the convention where shows are pitched, but that's probably not going to happen now.
According to the website's source, the show may not make it. Executives believe Kate was too controversial for the show and may not be ready for a full-time hosting job.

Kate Gosselin has been dropped from a new TV show because executives thought she was too controversial, according to reports on a Us website. The pilot show was filmed in early September for Momlogic TV, alongside Food Network star Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and former Early Show co-host Rene Syler. But reports suggest that executives believed Gosselin was too controversial for the show and didn’t think she was ready for a full-time hosting job, even as part of a panel. Despite the decision, Gosselin will be back in the spring with a new show, whose concept has not been made public.

Kate Gosselin, newly divorced from Jon, has been dropped from a television gig reportedly because she is too 'controversial'. Gosselin had already shot a pilot for Momlogic, joining Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and former Early Show co-host Rene Syler. That was last September, however, before the Gosselin family dramas hit the airwaves both on-screen and off. The Telepictures program, described as The View for working mums, is having problems of its own and faces an uncertain future, RadarOnline reports. Being too famous is not always a positive point when it comes to securing a job. Kate Gosselin has just been dropped from hosting a new TV show called "Momlogic" which is produced by Telepictures. The reason is simply because she is too controversial.

A Momlogic pilot including Kate Gosselin, Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and Rene Syler has dropped Gosselin as one of the hosts -- for being too controversial.
Radaronline is reporting that the show, billed as "The View" for working moms, decided Kate was too controversial for the show and didn't think that even as part of panel of women she was ready for a full-time hosting job.
Apparently the decision was not unanimous, as there was some behind-the-scenes arguing in favor of Kate staying with the show. We can see the argument in keeping her on the pilot. Jon, moreso than Kate, was the controversial Gosselin and she is sure to draw viewers, as she has come out of the "Jon & Kate" saga looking pretty good.
Fear not, Kate Gosselin lovers. She will be back on Tlc in spring 2010 with her new show. The details of the show have not been released yet.

Struggling sophomore Warner Bros. talker "The Bonnie Hunt Show," which was sold to the NBC stations in a two-year window, will wrap up production at the end of this season.
Season to-date (through Nov. 22), Bonnie ranks 12th out of 13 syndicated talk shows in households, with a 0.8 rating (and no change from the comparable year-ago period), according to Nielsen Media Research data.
The ranking among key women 25-54 is also 12th, with a 0.3 in the demo.
A potential replacement is MomLogic, also from Warner Bros., which is a "View"-like hour of talk based on the website and co-hosted by the Food Network's Paula Deen, Rene Syler of CBS' "The Early Show," Lee Woodruff, comedian Judy Gold and mother of eight, Kate Gosselin.
