Jake got his first video camera
for personal projects when he was 15 years old. He first received
mentorship in the film industry on a long-term basis in 2004 from the
Australian film-maker, writer and comedian Brian Hurley.
Jake began formal training in film production when he was accepted unconditionally to Bournemouth Screen Academy in 2006.
Since graduating, Jake has produced and managed numerous projects, some of which have been earmarked or nominated for various awards including the BAFTA short-film category and Royal Television Society.
Jake freelances in various Production roles and has worked with a number of shooting formats ranging from Digital, 16 & 35mm and various different projects from viral commercials, music-promos, short films and features.
In January 2013, Jake begun principal photography on 'Sixteen', his first feature film as Producer with long-time friend and collaborator Rob Brown. Cast include Roger Nsengiyumva (Africa United), Rachael Stirling (The Bletchley Circle, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), Rosie Day (ITV's Homefront, Ironclad 2, The Seasoning House and s5 of Misfits), Fady Elsayed (My Brother the Devil), Sam Spruell (Defiance, BBC's Mayday), Christopher Simpson (Brick Lane) and Alexis Zegerman (Happy-Go-Lucky, Albatross).
