We have loved that Yash Raj Films has presented facets of a journey over three decades with each chapter and song they have released for their upcoming film Meri Pyaari Bindu. The latest song from this Parineeti Chopra- Ayushmann Khurrana film ‘Khol De Baahein’ now brings Bindu’s philosophy of life to the fore.
This gentle number, which has a smooth mix of both Bengali lyrics interspersed with Hindi by Kausar Munir along with Rana Mazumder, encapsulates Bindu’s experiences – that range from college in Kolkata to work in Mumbai. ‘Khol De Baahein’ focuses on Parineeti Chopra as Bindu narrating bliss in freely seeking one’s aspirations and enjoying every moment of life, as it happens. Sung by Monali Thakur, this gentle melody leaves you introspective, and thinking about what it says. After all, everyone seeks freedom from mundane life.
Get lost in the beauty and the idea!

As with all Excel productions, music is an important part and for Fukrey they brought in the great Ram Sampath. So what has he created for Fukrey and is it an Ost that we want to play again and again? Read on!
The album sets off with a bang with the title song, Fuk Fuk Fukrey, with vocals by Amjad and Ram Sampath. One of the things I always admire about Ram Sampath is that he always manages to bring...

It seems when the DVD of Tezz would be out, the 'deleted scenes/songs' segment would have a lot more in offering than the actual film itself. Just when the imbroglio around Mallika Sherawat's presence in the film had died down, there is a twist in the tale. Apparently, the film had not one, not two but as many as three different climax sequences at its disposal and it took the makers quite some time to finally pencil down on the one that is making to the theaters this Friday.
Informs our well placed source on condition of anonymity, "Yes, the truth is that there are three different climaxes that were shot for the film. This time around the trouble was not centered on makers and cast having different point of views. Instead, each of these climaxes worked perfectly well for a high octane thriller like ours. Priyadarshan, Ajay Devgn,...

Bollywood isn’t exactly popular for good thrillers. Very few of those who claim to be of this genre actually manage to shock and surprise you with their storyline. Without doubt, Kahaani belongs to this elite group. From the moment of its amazing opening sequence you realize that this one is going to be an enjoyable roller coaster ride.
Sujoy Ghosh, who last awed us with his Jhankaar Beats, indeed brings to us ‘the mother of a story’ in Kahaani. Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan), heavily pregnant but determined, arrives in Kolkata in search of her missing husband. But was seems to be a simple missing person’s case turns out to be more twisted and complicated than expected. It’s Kolkata so yes, anything can happen. With things not what they seem to be and people not what they appear like, Vidya has to fight a lone battle and against time to find her husband.

Giving away how much of the ‘kahaani’ is too much? Well, in the case of Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani, too little can be too much and too much, too little. You are sure to be sucked into the film layer by layer until you hit the ‘climax’ when you know what just passed by you is a tour de force. Kahaani is an extremely intelligent story told with such conviction and eagerness that it leaves one thrilled to the core. For those fed up with the dark and gritty underbelly of Mumbai and the indispensable Ganpati, there are the refreshing sights and sounds of Kolkata and the iconic Durga Puja. Durga, hold on to that word for it holds the key to the mystery that the film unravels.
Sujoy Ghosh’s Kolkata is the same now-decadent-once-the-city-of-joy that we know about.

After Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, Ajay Devgn and Kangna Ranaut’s chemistry will be seen in Ratan Jain and Priyadarshan’s Tezz, releasing on 27th April, 2012. After the love song ‘Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein’ of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai they will be seen swaying in love in the song ‘Tere Bina’ from the film Tezz. Zayed Khan told us that, “Priyadarshan, the director, is doing an action drama after really long time. For him to come back into this genre and making the high-octane film that he is making was very attractive to me in the first place. And of course, I love doing action films. Priyadarshan is really stepping out of his shoes and has got this new baby energy towards doing this kick-ass action film.”

The Dirty Picture is the upcoming biopic of sensual 80s screen siren, Silk Smitha, starring Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor.
When a film is called “The Dirty Picture” and is set in the 1980s, a decade not entirely reknowned in Bollywood for films filled with good taste and high artistic aspirations - you know there are going to be certain expectations of the soundtrack.
It was the era of Disco Dancer and Ilzaam, a decade when Bappi Lahiri’s infectiously cheesy disco anthems ruled the airwaves; an era (like now) when Bollywood also often looked South for inspiration, resulting in surprisingly saucy, glitz laden epic dance numbers in films like Himmatwala.
With The Dirty Picture soundtrack Vishal-Shekhar have essentially created a time-machine to transport the listener back to the full-on filmi glory of the early Eighties.
