Agents of Shield, Season 1, Episode 16, “End of the Beginning”
Written by Paul Zbyszewski
Directed by Bobby Roth
Airs Tuesdays at 8pm Est on ABC
“The End of the Beginning” wastes no time with pleasantries but jumps right into action with Deathlok (J. August Richards) breaking into a Shield safehouse. He is nearly taken down by Agent Garrett (Bill Paxton) and Antoine (B.J. Britt), prompting Coulson, Agent Garrett, and the gang to call up Victoria Hand (Saffron Burrows) and bring Shield into the fold on their newest mission. Together, Coulson hopes they can search through a list of potential suspects, people that Shield is aware of with Esp abilities, and find the Clairvoyant once and for all.
The episode’s title “The End of the Beginning” is appropriate, considering that the pilot episode of Agents of Shield was the introduction of Mike Peterson, and for now, it seems that Mike Peterson...

Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.…well, it’s been awhile, mostly because ABC’s scheduling has been a little crazy. But starting tonight, we’re back with a handful of episodes all in a row, no breaks required. Rejoice!
I don’t know about you, but in the past few weeks, I’ve felt like the show is finally starting to find its feet and become the series it was supposed to be when it first premiered. Those thoughts were validated in tonight’s episode, which gave us a solid mix of action, plot development, and reveal. And finally, we...

Is it possible for "Marvel's Agents of Shield" to answer any of its big mysteries without asking more questions? Probably not, but at least we're getting somewhere in Tuesday's (April 1) episode, "End of the Beginning."
The mystery of "who is the Clairvoyant" proves to be a much more complicated situation than fans might have initially realized. It turns out the person who has been the bane of the Shield agents' existence is actually a Shield agent themselves -- and doesn't have any clairvoyant powers. Instead, they've just been spying on the characters and using information from their pasts against them, though it's unclear to what end.
The spy within their ranks, then, seems to be Melinda May, but is it really as cut and dried as her just being a mole? The more likely explanation is that she was told this is a Shield mission of higher importance than what...

Rick Smith of techno duo Underworld reveals how they tackled the soundtrack to the London Olympics opening ceremony – and how it left him with an 'absolutely beautiful feeling'
The contrast between this summer's two uber-spectaculars – the diamond jubilee concert and the Olympics opening ceremony – couldn't be starker. At the former, Gary Barlow produced a musical vision for austerity Britain where geriatric crooners rubbed shoulders with talent-show alumni at the end of the Mall. Madness were the risky prospect.
At the latter, something far more radical happened. The floor of the Olympic stadium was torn asunder to the sound of thundering techno and the Queen watched as the union flag was hoisted to a record by one half of Fuck Buttons. Later, Team Gb were afforded the most dignified and electrifying entrance possible accompanied by David Bowie's Heroes – a record that resonated like a national anthem beamed from an alternate universe.
