Lip reduction surgery has recently become a popular procedure, particularly in Asian countries, where it is mainly practiced on patients in their 20s and 30s.
“The procedure involves surgically cutting at the wet-dry line and pulling the lip underneath inside the mouth to reduce overall size,” New York dermatologist Dr. Doris Day told NewBeauty.

Many women (and men) choose to go under the knife to appear more attractive and younger, and a new study shows that plastic surgery may actually make people appear more successful and healthier as well.
The study, conducted by a group of Johns Hopkins University researchers, asked 483 people to take a web-based survey, during which they were shown images of 13 female patient faces before or after a facelift.
