Another leg on “The Amazing Race,” another leg win by an “Amazing Race” team. The “Race” alums kept their hot streak alive on Wednesday’s episode when Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl came in first for the second consecutive leg. That brings the “Race” duos’ perfect leg win record to 7 for 7, but we also marked another milestone on the other end of the spectrum with the Leg 7 results. Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo getting saved by the non-elimination leg means that every non-“Race” team has come in last now.
The season started with five “Race” teams, three from “Survivor” and three from “Big Brother.” Outside of Art Velez and Jj Carrell‘s Leg 1 elimination — which was caused by Art’s literal leg issues, spurring their four-hour penalty — it’s clear racers have been superior on a show they’ve done before. Every team that’s been axed or been...

Both U-Turned teams — Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, and Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl — survived the Double U-Turn last week on “The Amazing Race,” but one “Survivor” team did not, Rupert and Laura Boneham. Now the remaining nine teams are off to Vietnam for Leg 3 on Wednesday’s episode.
The leg appears to be a night leg, which is always fun. And this one relies on two Ps: performance and, uh, prawns. The Roadblock is a karaoke task, where Eliza Orlins does her best to troll Victor Arroyo, possibly because her public enemy No. 1, the Afghanimals, are nowhere in sight. The Detour options are to perform a synchronized dance or to fish for prawns. They both sound pretty easy, but the dance judge is not messing around here, and the fishing seems to be a waiting game.

Rupert and Laura Boneham survived the first leg of “The Amazing Race 31,” when Art Velez and Jj Carrell opted to take a four-hour penalty, allowing the “Survivor” alums to overcome their own four-hour, uh, excursion in the park in Tokyo. But their luck ran out on Week 2 in Laos. While they weren’t one of the two teams U-Turned, Rupert was betrayed by his favorite animal, an elephant, as the pachyderm he was riding put him at the back of the pack. At the mat, Rupert, a four-time “Survivor” vet, told Phil Keoghan that “‘Amazing Race’ kicked me in the ass.”
How so? And has he forgiven elephants yet? Find out in our exit interview below. Plus: What you didn’t see on the show and if the couple will complete the CBS reality trifecta and do “Big Brother.”

Leg 2 means double the fun and a Double U-Turn! Yup, we are getting a Double U-Turn already on “The Amazing Race 31.” Wednesday’s episode takes the remaining 10 teams to Laos for the show’s inaugural visit there, where two teams might have to complete both Detours: learning the Laotian alphabet or cooking a dish. Will both U-Turns be used? Probably, since this is a season with established boundaries, if not relationships, between former racers, “Survivor” and “Big Brother” alums.
Meanwhile, Rupert and Laura Boneham got a huge break last week when Art Velez and Jj Carrell took a four-hour penalty, allowing them to complete the final task and advance by the skin of their teeth. Will they struggle again? At least other racers seem excited to see them, unlike Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins literally blocking the Afghanimals’ path because they weren’t “fun or helpful.”

It remains to be seen if “Survivor” alums Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins will outlast all the other teams on “The Amazing Race 31,” but they’re definitely trying to outwit and outplay them.
In a sneak peek from Wednesday’s episode (watch below), the teams are en route to a location in Laos. The Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, and Rupert and Laura Boneham hop into a tuk tuk to take them there, after which Corinne and Eliza realize they’re in the tuk tuk’s way in the middle of the road. While you and I might step aside so we don’t, you know, get run over, Corinne and Eliza decide to take advantage of their pole position and run in front of the tuk tuk so it doesn’t pass them. Well, a tuk tuk is not that big, you say; it can just pass them on the side.

We know what the Detour options are on the second leg of “The Amazing Race 31,” and now we know who did what — and when-ish.
The choices are to learn the Laotian alphabet or to cook a dish. As previously revealed, Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins opted for the alphabet, while Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater cooked. Corinne and Eliza also revealed that their fellow Survivors Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle cooked, quipping that Laotian sounds like Bret’s native Boston accent.
Well, cook was definitely the popular choice. Thanks to new photos released by CBS, we can see that eight of the 10 teams did cook. Now, yes, this leg has a Double U-Turn, but CBS, of course, isn’t dumb enough to release photos of the same team(s) doing both tasks if the U-Turns were used.
The other six teams that cooked are Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran; Colin Guinn...

If Rupert and Laura Boneham forgot which show they were on, that would explain how they got lost for literally hours searching for the second Roadblock in Tokyo on “The Amazing Race 31” premiere — nevermind the fact that they were right next to the site and walked by it at least once.
In a sneak peek of next Wednesday’s episode (watch above), the “Survivor” alums arrive at the airport and are greeted by Colin Guinn and Christie Woods. “I thought we were out. I thought we were out. By the grace of God!” Rupert tells them before recounting their four-hour debacle from probably not even 12 hours before.
“We spent four hours in that park running around looking for a hidden immunity idol, not a damn clue box!” he quips.
“We’re used to being tricked on ‘Survivor,'” Laura adds.

Art Velez had a terrible case of deja vu on Wednesday’s “The Amazing Race 31” premiere.
Seven years ago on Season 20, the $1 million was within his and Jj Carrell‘s grasp, but Art struggled at the final Roadblock, allowing Dave and Rachel, who had accidentally skipped the task, to return, crush it and cruise to the win. This time, after being in last place for most of the first leg in Tokyo, the border patrol agents had a chance to safely advance to the next leg when Rupert and Laura Boneham got hopelessly lost for more than two hours even though they were literally right next to the Roadblock the entire time. But Art, forced to do the second Roadblock, couldn’t scale the slippery 20-ft Mount Fuji slide and developed leg cramps so painful that Jj made an executive decision to take the four-hour penalty instead. Unfortunately, Rupert and...

“The Amazing Race” fans are about to be introduced to one of the greatest reality TV heroes of all time: Rupert Boneham. Longtime “Survivor” viewers are already keenly aware of this tie-dye pirate from his four seasons starring on that CBS hit. Though he never claimed victory as the winner of “Survivor,” he did take home a special fan-voted prize of $1 million during 2004’s “America’s Tribal Council.” He’s that beloved.
In the upcoming 31st season of “The Amazing Race,” which will now debut April 17 on CBS, Rupert will be teamed up with his wife Laura Boneham, who previously competed against Rupert on “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” in 2013. Laura finished in 12th place that season, far outlasting her husband as he was the first person voted out of what turned out to be his fourth and final run on the show.

“The Amazing Race” is finally returning to the CBS line-up with the 31st season set to premiere on May 22, 2019. This edition of the race was run way back in June. The 11 teams are veterans of previous seasons of “Tar” as well as two other CBS reality competition series: “Big Brother” and “Survivor.” As always, host Phil Keoghan was at the startling line in Hermosa Beach, California on June 10 to send these 22 contestants in a race around the world. The winners crossed the finish line in Detroit on July 3.

It is looking more and more likely that “The Amazing Race” won’t return to the CBS line-up until the spring of 2019. “Tar” wasn’t on the fall schedule and the Tiffany network has done well with all of its new hour-long shows. With none of those looking like candidates for early cancellation, there is no time slot open for “The Amazing Race” until they finish their first seasons. This means the likeliest air date for season 31 of this Emmy-winning reality competition series is in the spring of 2019.

Happy Wednesday fellow Big Brother fans. We were able to find some additional news for the upcoming Amazing Race season 31 Big Brother edition that we previously reported on. First of all, a few weeks back, TMZ was reporting that it was an all-Big Brother Amazing Race season. The the folks over at Realityblurred.com said that was not the case, and that it would include former Amazing Race contestants as well. Well, it turns out they were both wrong. However, Realityblurred was more correct than TMZ because the new season 31 will also include former "Survivor" reality show contestants to go along with the former Big Brother and Amazing Race people ! We've also learned who the official teams are. The folks over at goldderby.com are reporting that Amazing Race season 31 officially started filming this past Sunday, June 11, 2018 with a total of 11 teams. Only three of them turned out to be Big Brother teams.

Previous Survivor winner and fan favorite Aras Baskauskas lost his Redemption Island battle on Wednesday's Survivor: Blood vs. Water, falling to fellow winner Tina Wesson and his own brother Vytas, and now he's talking to Et about his experience on Survivor the second time around.

Wednesday night's Survivor: Blood vs. Water saw two players exit the game after coming up short at their Redemption Island duel. “Skin of My Teeth”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
In one of the most telegraphed blindsides in Survivor history, this week’s vote flips the game on its head and pushes the once-confident leaders to the brink. Rarely have the editors spent this much time setting up a pivotal blindside. Unlike nervous players like Monica and Laura Morett, Aras doesn’t have a past failure to make him worry. He’s confident that the game will work out and doesn’t recognize the danger of standing in front. The key mistake is trusting that Gervase and Tyson will let the couples run the show. And that’s hardly the only miscalculation. Tina makes a ridiculous gaffe and tells Monica she’s fifth on the totem pole. The amazing part is that she sells it like a benefit. It takes some convincing from Tyson, but...

It was double trouble last night on Survivor: Blood vs. Water as two people were eliminated from the game when they lost the final pre-merge duel at Redemption Island. But was that final duel — in which the contestants had to put their feet in tiny footholds while hanging onto a pole to support all their weight for as long as possible — fair? We asked the eliminated man with the size 12-and-a-half feet — John Cody — his thoughts when he called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105), and now you can hear the entire thing on the InsideTV Podcast.

Sorry if you heard a rumbling coming from the west side of the continent last night; it was only me throwing myself off my dresser and on to some landmines after hearing Vytas on Survivor say, “Blood Vs. Water should be called ‘Vytas Vs. Aras,’ because we would have to be real stupid not to make it to the end at this point.”
What is this specific disease on reality TV where reality contestants form powerful alliances, then decide their competitors will respect those alliances because they are such cool alliances or something? Because Vytas has it full-blown. Thing is, he was savvy enough to know that his female competitors singled him out as an easy target in the preceding weeks. Because Vytas has it full-blown. Thing is, he was savvy enough to know that his female competitors singled him out as an easy target in the preceding weeks. Guess he didn’t think they’d realize that — oh yeah! — Vytas and Aras would be a dynamic team if paired up on a single tribe. More specifically, Vytas...

On the latest episode of "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," it's time for one of the Redemption Islanders to rejoin the game -- who ya got, John or one of the Lauras?
Galang
But first, Vytas makes sure he has the women wrapped around his finger, spinning tales of the four of them plus Aras and Gervase in a strong alliance of six. But he's totally full of it. It's a good strategy, these women are eating out of Vytas' hand.
Redemption Island
Laura B. spins her tale of woe, but you have to think John is doing a happy dance in his head about who he is competing against in the duel. Laura B. says it's a huge mistake for Galang to take out her instead of Vytas and we have to say -- she's 100 percent correct. She's an easy vote later, plus she won't defect to team up...

Survivor 27,Blood Vs Water eliminated Aras Baskauskas in episode 8 tonight. Tonight's show, kicked off with more conversation footage. Recently voted off Laura B was seen, bitching and complaining about Monica and the girls, turning on her and keeping Vytas instead. Meanwhile, Vytas kept on reassuring the ladies that should they merge, he and his brother, Aras, would continue to be loyal to them. Next, they showed Redemption Island dual footage with John,Laura M, and Laura B. It turned out to be an endurance challenge where they simply had to hold themselves up on a wooden pole and not fall before everyone else. The only one who would advance was the first place winner as it was time for them to re-enter the game. John ended up,falling off first, followed by Laura B, so Laura M prevailed and re-entered the game. Also, both tribes merged at that point. Laura...

Check out this sneak peek clip of the Nov. 6 episode of "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" -- someone's going back into the game.
The two Lauras and John are informed via treemail that the winner of today's duel will re-enter the game and the other two are leaving the game for good. Who do you think has the best chance? We've have to think John has an advantage, both physically and because he's competed in so many duels on Redemption Island.
Are you rooting for anyone in particular? It'd be interesting to see what Laura B. would do, since she's pretty mad at her tribe for blindsiding her. Laura M. wouldn't be nearly as interesting, since she will obviously align immediately with her daughter.
What do you think, fans? "Survivor" airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on CBS.

“Any thoughts on these crying contestants?” -- @GoodGovt Fans set the Twittersphere ablaze Wednesday night as Kat cried her way off the show, just one challenge away from making the merge. The most repeated question I’m hearing about this season of Survivor: Blood vs. Water is: What’s up with all the tears? Wednesday night’s show began and ended with a watery display of emotion, stemming first from Kat, who lost the puzzle challenge at Redemption Arena, and lastly, with Laura B., who simply could not process voting out her friend, Vytas. The Blood vs. Water twist shows what can happen when

Are you glad you went back on "Survivor"? How was it different from the first time around?
"Absolutely, I love this game. The first time, it was a breeze for me because I was in an alliance of women and we dominated the game. The second time, there were so many aspects. “Swoop in for the Kill”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Survivor: Blood vs. Water has been filled with personal stories and conflicts that have made it one of the most consistent seasons of recent years. Even an arrogant goofball like Brad Culpepper offered plenty of entertainment with his failed strategy and the anger he inspired in others. We’ve seen players truly moved by the plight of their loved ones, and there’s been a greater sense of fun during the challenges. On the other hand, there’s the story of Laura Boneham. After being voted out on the first day and saved by her husband Rupert, she settled into a background role. Others have called her annoying or ridiculed her attempts at strategy, but her position was secure. Why vote out someone who’s barely a threat? Laura seems like a nice person,...

Twenty-seven seasons into Survivor, it’s hard to believe any contestant can get away with being the “manipulative” one. At this point it’s an embarrassing, outdated word for gameplay on reality TV, the kind of whodunnit connivery you associate with Richard Hatch or Project Runway‘s Wendy Pepper – self-fancied Iagos ginning up the green-eyed monster in otherwise rational competitors. Which is why it’s insane that any Survivor veteran in 2013 — let alone the veterans who’ve been invited back to play — can be so naive as to allow a blatant manipulator like Vytas plow through their preordained plan of attack with almost no pushback. Vytas is not just manipulative. He is hauntingly stalwart in his plan to undermine his female teammates with “vulnerability.” “We’re eliminating you!” his teammates tell him. He blinks once and responds, “Oh. Right. You are. Thank you for telling me. Thank you. But… you won’t.

Survivor 27,Blood Vs Water eliminated Laura Boneham in episode 7 tonight. Tonight's episode, kicked off with more conversation footage. Kat started balling tears at Redemption Island for getting voted out,and also thought her boyfriend, Hayden, would be very disappointed in her over it. It was really strange. She acted like a little three year old. Next, they showed Redemption Island, dual, footage with Kat, Laura M, and John. Before things started, Kat ran to get a hug from Hayden and started crying again. Then host,Jeff Probst, brought up the question of will Hayden trade places with Kat, so she can get back in the game. Kat was all for it, but Hayden clearly was not, and told her to think about who has a better shot at winning. Finally, she came to the conclusion that Hayden would do better if he stayed. The dual consisted of another puzzle challenge.

When we last left our intrepid castaways on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," Kat was shipped off to Redemption Island. When she gets there, she blasts her tribe members, making us kind of giggle when she calls Tina's daughter a tag-along.
Redemption Island
In the morning, Kat is crying and worried that Hayden is going to be upset with her and ashamed of her. Ok, we've actually spent a lot of time with Hayden and he's a really good guy. Seriously, he's so super nice. There's no way he would feel that way, though it's kind of alarming that Kat thinks so.
She cries when they arrive at the arena and starts blubbering out an apology. Probst questions them and Hayden says he doesn't view her any differently and his relationship is more important than the game. So Probst challenges him to take Kat's spot right now.
Honestly, that's not fair,...

“One-Man Wrecking Ball”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
In the pre-merge game of Survivor, it’s easy to think too far ahead and step into the muck. During her first appearance in One World, Kat believed in her alliance and felt betrayed when they kicked her out. She was a fun character who talked constantly and didn’t really understand the game. Kat’s goofy personality drew a return invitation, and she has spent this season under the radar. Of course, this week reminds us that changing your limited game isn’t so easy. Her feeble attempts to stir the pot blow up in her face and kick her right to Redemption Island. Apparently Kat hasn’t spent much time watching the Australia season. Tina is an intelligent player who has no qualms about stabbing others in the back. She’s immensely loyal to her alliance,...

Based on the commercials running all week, it's tribe shakeup time on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water." And just when Tadhana finally won one, too.

Laura Boneham is happy to be still here, while Tina is murdering some kind of metaphor about an octopus. Octopi don't have legs, Tina. The next morning, Tyson and Gervase think perhaps the next vote is the time to cut Aras, before he can reunite with his brother at the merge. Gervase wants to be the chess master and not the chess piece this time, you see. Hmmm. We aren't sure these two can really be some kind of braintrust, but you never know. We also thought no one would Ever give up Immunity at Tribal Council and Erik totally did, so.

Candice Cody was one of the first people voted out of "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," as she was shipped off to Redemption Island by her tribe of returning castaways before the game even really started. She tells Zap2it that being out there with a loved one turns you into a crazy person.
Are you glad you returned to "Survivor," even if you got sent to Redemption Island right away?
"Yeah. I mean, that was the really tough break to have 30 seconds into the game. I showed up less than 24 hours before the game was going to start. Everyone else had been there for four or five days, counting up their numbers and figuring out who they wanted to work with. It was a tough break. But I was glad to have the opportunity to come out and play and ... to have the experience with my husband is beyond, it's out of this world.

Each week, host Jeff Probst will answer a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water.
Entertainment Weekly: A few weeks back we saw Tyson offer to take his girlfriend Rachel’s place at Redemption Island if she wanted, and she told him to stay put. This week, Monica asked to take husband Brad’s spot and he declined. Do you think these offers to switch are genuine, or are they simply for show, counting on the fact that their spouse would never ask them to sacrifice themselves like that?
Jeff Probst: I think it’s a good question.

“The Dead Can Still Talk”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Considering all the twists in Survivor: Blood vs. Water, the old-school vibe has been a refreshing surprise. The family connections are forcing the editors to show the personalities of more than just a few star players. Laura Morett hasn’t received many interviews, but there’s been enough to show her place in the tribe. She thinks creepily flirting with Aras and doing well in challenges will keep her alive. Meanwhile, Laura Boneham is struggling to connect with players who’ve known each other for years. The promos spotlighted a huge blindside, but the logic in the vote is pretty simple. The five-person alliance picks their second or third choice with hopes of thwarting Brad at Redemption Island. The “no strategy” plan is keeping several players in the dark and hiding the alliance’s existence.

It was a bad week to be a returning player on Survivor: Blood Vs. Water. Let us count the ways:

• The returning players tribe of Galang lost their very first challenge. And they didn’t just lose it. They were dominated.
• Even after losing, Galang seemed poised to vote out the one newbie on the tribe — Rupert’s wife, Laura Boneham — until Aras opined that “Easy votes are often the dumbest votes in this game” and...

Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Brilliant. In a season filled with twists, it’s the simple moves that can change the game. After watching his fiancé quit last week, Caleb steps out of the shadows and executes a stunning move at Tribal Council. Nothing ever happens at Tribal Council! When change-ups occur, they usually use the immunity idol. This move involves doing math and realizing it wouldn’t take much to kick out the figurehead. By announcing his vote for Brad in front of everyone, Caleb realizes he can sway the girls’ votes and create a 3-3 tie. Players don’t want to pull rocks, so the odds of taking out Brad are very good. There’s a chance that everyone votes out Caleb, but that still leaves the guys in power. It makes little sense for Katie...

Candice is understandably dismayed to find her husband arriving at their Redemption camp. He's like, "Sorry you've been here without me" and she's like, "Dude, it's not good that we're both here." We appreciate the sentiment, but c'mon, John.
The next morning at the duel, Candice is mad at John's tribe, saying she wished it was Brad who walked into Redemption. The show's editing acts like her saying he's "somebody she could hate" and calling him a "child" is akin to her running over his dog with a truck or something. It's a game, gang. Calm down.
John does take the time to call him out and warn people, then we get to the duel. It's...

At approximately 6 a.m. in the morning, Colton wants to decide who is going to sit out the next challenge. "I love 'Survivor' blah blah nobody wants to strategize blah blah this is so boring blah blah." Oh, spare me, Colton. Just take a pill, dude. As Aras says, just relax and enjoy yourself for a while. You'll have plenty of time to wheel and deal later.
Why in God's name does this guy not play "Big Brother"? He seems ready-made for those shenanigans. "Survivor" is clearly not for him.
(No) Redemption Island (for Colton)
Interestingly, Tyson totally has Tadhana's strategy pegged as to why they voted out Rachel. Rachel tells Tyson not to switch places with her, so he does not.
