Anastas Charalampidis

Born in 1975, Anastas Charalampidis is of Greek nationality and studied filmmaking at
the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow. His short films have participated in many film festivals including Angers, Taipei, Rio de Janeiro and Cannes IFF. "Don't Miss the Killer", his second short film, has received Alexander Sokurov's
praise. His first feature film Ecce Momo! was awarded the Digital Alexander Award at the
International Thessaloniki Film Festival and has been presented at Rotterdam IFF
2009. Parallel to this, Charalampidis has worked as first assistant director to the Russian
master filmmaker Alexey German senior. He was honored with a scholarship (Residence) from the Cannes Cinefondation in 2002-2003. His last work was a web serial "I Want to Leave the Country" (2014-2015) about the new generation of the Greek economic crisis. He is now shooting the second part of his Momo dilogy called "Devil in the Details"
