The Flight Attendant will not be returning for a third season. The show, which was originally set as a limited series, aired two seasons on Max, with the second season ending in May 2022.
The move follows comments from star and executive producer Kaley Cuoco after the second season that the “plane had landed.” “I just kind of feel like we just ended,” she told People at the time.
The first season, which premiered in November 2020, followed Cuoco’s alcoholic, globe-trotting flight attendant Cassie Bowden who became embroiled in an espionage plot following her affair with a first class passenger, who winds up murdered after their night together.
The second season saw Bowden return with a fresh start in Los Angeles, sober and moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time. But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue.

Woodstone B&b without its committed (and cute as a button) owners? More chilling things have happened on the premises — but in Ghosts‘ sophomore season-ender, Jay and Samantha Arondekar’s (Utkarsh Ambudkar and Rose McIver) future is threatened by the appearance of a relative Sam was unaware she had. The couple welcome this cheery cousin, Kelsey Foster (Jessie Ennis), who then drops a bombshell. “There is a possibility Sam was not the true heir of the property and that [she and Jay] might be about to lose the house from underneath them,” McIver explains. None of the ghosts are overjoyed at the prospect of a new owner, although one does muse whether Kelsey might spring for an upgraded cable TV package. But for Sam and Jay, “it’s terrifying,” McIver says. “It’s not just a house to them. Woodstone is now Sam’s family and Jay’s family and everything that their...

Almost one year to the day that F. Murray Abraham‘s sudden and mysterious Mythic Quest exit was announced, a new report claims the 83-year-old Oscar winner was fired from the Apple TV+ series due to sexual misconduct.
According to TVLine’s sister pub Rolling Stone, the White Lotus actor was at the center of two alleged incidents at Mythic Quest, the first of which resulted in a warning (to steer clear of one of the series’ female cast members) and the second of which led to his dismissal.

F. Murray Abraham’s sudden exit from “Mythic Quest” last April was due to sexual misconduct complaints, according to a Monday report from Rolling Stone.
Although the exact nature of his behavior was not detailed, a production source said that Abraham was “given a warning and told to keep away from some of the show’s actresses.” After a second complaint, series creator and star Rob McElhenney opted to let him go, Rolling Stone reports.
“It’s a bummer to not have Murray in this season,” McElhenney told Variety at the time of saying goodbye to Abraham’s character, sci-fi author C.W. Longbottom. “But we recognize that C.W. is a beloved character and obviously a huge part of the show. So, we made sure that we have a really fitting tribute to him. We definitely address it in a big way.”

Warning: Spoilers follow for the Season 3 premiere of Apple TV+’s “Mythic Quest.”
With F. Murray Abraham traipsing off to Sicily — he’s in the latest season of “The White Lotus” — he won’t be seen walking the halls of “Mythic Quest” as the critically acclaimed comedy returns for a third season this Friday on Apple TV+.
Abraham played C.W. Longbottom — the crusty and wildly inappropriate head writer of the “Mythic Quest.” In Season 2’s flashback episode “Backstory,” viewers learned the origin story of C.W., and how Ian Grimm (Rob McElhenney) found him to help create the game. At the end of Season 2, C.W. was still at Mythic Quest, even as Ian and Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao) announced they were leaving to launch their own company, GrimPop Studios.

Created by Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and series star Rob McElhenney, Mythic Quest season three is set to premiere on November 11, 2022 with the release of the first two episodes. New episodes of the 10-episode season follow on subsequent Fridays.

Apple today unveiled a first-look teaser for the third season of its critically acclaimed workplace comedy Mythic Quest, which is slated to premiere on Apple TV+ this fall.
The series created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz follows a group of video game developers tasked with building worlds, molding heroes and creating legends, but the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office. While its second season watched as the company’s creative director Ian Grimm (McElhenney) and co-creative director Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao) departed to pursue their own venture, today’s teaser promised that this decision has actually “changed nothing.”
This time around, Ian and Poppy will continue to navigate the gaming world and their partnership at the newly formed GrimPop Studios, with Dana (Imani Hakim) being forced to play mediator to her bosses’ incessant bickering. Back at Mythic Quest, David...

This article contains spoilers for The Flight Attendant finale.
HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant ended its second season with a tinnitus-triggering explosion, but that wasn’t the biggest showdown of the episode for Cassandra Bowden (Kaley Cuoco), who has spent all season fighting various versions of herself, from someone impersonating her across the world to the worst parts of her personality manifesting inside her mind palace. After eight episodes of following doppelgängers in blonde wigs, it turns out they were red herrings—the real threats came from the natural blondes.
Who’s Trying to Frame (and Kill) Cassie?
The penultimate episode, “No Exit,” knocked both of Cassie’s bewigged doubles off the suspect list. At the pier, Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max (Deniz Akdeniz) tased Gabrielle (Callie Hernandez) and Esteban (J.J. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Flight Attendant Season 2 finale, “Backwards and Forwards.”] After a couple of near-death experiences in the Flight Attendant Season 2 finale, Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) is left in a relatively good place, at Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max’s (Deniz Akdeniz) wedding. But first, she must figure out who Grace (Mae Martin) was working for. The answer is not entirely surprising: Dot (Cheryl Hines), the CIA regional director, who was also the one to send Cassie the viewmaster and based on her file, thought she’d fit the profile of a rogue operative. Once that’s solved (and Dot’s taken into custody), however, Cassie ends up in more danger: Jenny (Jessie Ennis), from her AA meetings, has kidnapped her brother Davey (T.R. I love making lists. Plenty of critics bemoan their annual duty of ranking the year’s best TV shows — and rightfully so. Indignation is the only rational response to being asked to weigh your personal subjective opinions against professional objective analysis in order to winnow 500 new programs into a hierarchical list of the 10 “best “shows. If your picks are too predictable, did you dig deep enough? If they’re too obscure, are you too far removed from popular culture? And can any one person really have seen every top-tier series released over a 365-day span?
But lists, especially Top 10 lists, are also a gift. Not only do they provide an excuse to look back and organize your thoughts on the year that was, but they help audiences find more, better TV — whether it’s by discovering diamonds in the rough or giving hastily labeled pebbles a second look. The ubiquity...

In May, Mythic Quest returned for its second season, building momentum as an awards contender. The Apple TV+ comedy, created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, centers on Ian Grimm (McElhenney), the owner and creative director of a successful video game studio, who struggles to keep his hit game of the same name on top in concert with the dysfunctional family that makes up his staff.
In the Season 2 opener “Titans’ Rift,” lead engineer Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao) must step to the plate and come up with a title for a new expansion of the game, with Ian on sabbatical. At the same time, game testers Dana (Imani Hakim) and Rachel (Ashly Burch) take their burgeoning relationship to new heights. Pete Chatmon directed the episode, from a script by McElhenney, Ganz and David Hornsby.

Rob McElhenney and his fellow executive producers and writers had already mapped out a second season of “Mythic Quest,” and had written many of its episodes, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Suddenly, they realized the stories — which kicked off with the “Mythic Quest” officemates at the E3 conference — had to be revised.
“We had to essentially throw all of those scripts out and start over,” McElhenney tells Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast. “And we were happy to do it because the world had completely changed. We were going to come back and shoot another season of the show that it would have to at least reflect it, the realities of where the world is at right now and where it was, according to the narrative as it picks up in season two.”
