In a world where California's Los Angeles police department is being 'defunded' by multimillionaires, indifferent to the rioting and looting of businesses, homes and people in poverty-stricken districts, Sony Pictures "L.A.'s Finest", a crime-fighting cop, TV series spin-off from Jerry Bruckheimer's "Bad Boys" movie franchise, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, will not be picked up again by Spectrum TV after two seasons, despite an outcry from fans of the series:
"...'Burnett' (Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, has left her complicated past behind to become an 'LAPD' detective.
"Paired with 'Nancy McKenna' (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past, Burnett is pushed to examine whether her unapologetic lifestyle might be masking a greater personal secret.
"These two women don’t agree on much, but they find common ground when it comes to taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles.

Exclusive: A stunt went terribly wrong earlier today on the set of Spectrum/Sony Pictures upcoming TV series L.A.’s Finest, we have learned.
“Multiple people got injured,” one source told Deadline. We hear the series, an offshoot from the Bad Boys movie franchise which stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, was filming a car crash scene in San Pedro.

“We had two injuries,” he said, “one being worse than the other.” Both were transported to hospitals by ambulance — one was taken to San Pedro Peninsula and the other to Harbor UCLA. We hear one of the two was released from the hospital Thursday night. Osha, he said, was notified.
