A full Free Movie of the Day is posted on the JoBlo Horror Movies YouTube channel every other day during the week – but on Fridays things get even freakier and a little more fun. Get your weekend started the right way by indulging in Friday Fright Nights! Every Friday, we’ll be taking a look at another genre movie you can watch in its entirety, free of charge, either on the YouTube channel linked above or in the video embed here.
This week’s Friday Fright Nights feature is basically a slasher movie, since it’s about someone knocking people off one-by-one in a place called Oldtown – which is also known as Hell Town. But directors Elizabeth Spear and Steve Balderson (who also wrote the screenplay with Michael Page and Chris Pudlo) took a very unique approach to making this slasher. When it comes to over-sized special edition comics, DC seemingly can’t wait to whip up a steady stream of one after another. That’s not a complaint, mind you, just an observation. These 80 Page Giants must be good-sellers for DC, and although nearly 10 dollars a go, they are good value for the reader. You get to see a whole load of creators jamming together on more characters than you can shake a stick at, and the odds are that you will enjoy the majority of the stories, if not all. DC do enjoy their themed specials as well, and I must admit to being a sucker for things like Halloween and Christmas specials down the years, and I’m no different now. This Special gives us 10 short and hopefully sweet peeks into the more mysterious corners of the DC Universe,...

Lately, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Batman and Harley Quinn, and understandably so. Aside from being the next DC animated film to arrive in what’s already been a solid year for the line, it unites two of the most popular characters in comics right now under the watch of the Clown Princess of Crime’s co-creator, Bruce Timm. Suffice it to say, when one of the minds behind Batman: The Animated Series is attached to a project, it’s going to instil some consumer confidence.
Now, if you’ve been keeping up to date with all the latest news regarding the movie (or just watched the trailer embedded at the top), then you’ve no doubt noticed a reprisal of the visual style The New Batman Adventures (or the “revamp episodes,” as they’re sometimes called) were known for.

Daily Dead’s Q&A with co-writer/co-director of Hell Town, Steve Balderson: “Debbie Rochon (Model Hunger, Return to Nuke ‘Em High, The Theater Bizarre) headlines as the hostess of the three surviving episodes of “Hell Town”, following the melodramatic, small-town and potentially short-lived lives of Krysten Day, Amanda Deibert, Owen Lawless, Ben Windholz, Jennifer Grace, and Balderson muse Pleasant Gehman.
Hell Town follows the melodramatic antics of high school seniors clashing over love, sex, and betrayal. In the middle of all the everyday drama of one-sided infatuations, backstabbing bitchiness, bottled-up sexuality, sibling rivalry and general small-town angst, the Letter Jacket Killer is killing students in a variety of sadistic ways.

Comediva is a website with a bunch of funny chicks talking about comedy. Does it getter better than that, if, for instance, you're looking for women who talk about funny stuff? No.
Two Comediva people, Cat Staggs and Amanda Deibert, are also big giant nerds, which makes it even better. Deibert has no shame, at all, since you can pretty much see her nekkid in bad horror movies (not that one should, like, be ashamed of that. Not that I've done that), "feel free to hack away and only include things that you want," she says about me interviewing her about Comediva. "Like if you want to splice so that I say 'I'm a cheap whore who tries to write funny things.' That's fine."
If Deibert is selling herself cheaply for sex, it's only because she's nearing 30 and not because she has lost all her attractiveness. I want her to know that.

Sierra Holmes, who won over the hearts of America on VH1's Scream Queens, has just booked her first leading role in a horror film entitled Prey to God from Blood and Guts Productions. Back on Scream Queens, Sierra Holmes was the perfect combination of beauty and brains as she always seemed to offer the most insightful commentary as to whatever was happening on the show or into the other actresses performances. She started out in the bottom two for two weeks in a row, but quickly turned it around to come in first place one week during the show's run. She eventually ended up finishing in fifth place on the show.
In Prey To God, Monica and Jeff are in love - what better location than the very campgrounds where her parents first met? They eagerly depart, best friends Kaitlyn and Randy and her little brother, Steven, in tow.

The cleverly named Afterellen.com boasts “News, reviews & commentary on lesbian and bisexual women in entertainment and the media,” but damned if I can find the connection between that statement of purpose and Feed, Mel Robertson’s in-progress web series about a disillusioned former reality television producer’s righteous descent into the underground world of “digital vigilantism” that’s hosted on the site. True, Feed’s heroine, Maura (Amanda Deibert), is bisexual, and in one episode (titled, ahem, “Going Down”) begins a steamy (though soon to turn sour) hotel room romance with “The True World Vegas” reality star Charlie (Sarah Maine), but other than that Feed isn’t too concerned with lesbian relationships and lifestyles. The web series is more interested in the subversive, though potentially dangerous avenues new media can explore in bringing to light the disturbing truth mainstream media doesn’t want us to see. The plot goes...
