- Erik began his music career playing piano at a young age. Growing up listening to classical music, he developed a love and appreciation for large orchestral works by composers such as Beethoven, Dvorak, and Wagner. This, in turn, fueled his interest in orchestral film scores, and the complex relationship they have with the films they work for.
In 2005, Erik composed and recorded the score to the feature-length film "The Ancient", which was his first serious step into the world of film scoring. The score was well received, and he worked on several short films afterward. In 2006, he joined Liquid Fire Studios as the composer for the "Age of Mythology" total conversion mod titled "Legends of the Third Age". Later that year, he also composed the music for the pirate-themed stage play "Whodunit" performed in Bakersfield, California to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Erik continued to work on several short films, as well as write standalone music and work on his craft while attending Central Michigan University. In 2011, he launched his services under the newly-formed banner of ThunderWave Studios. Since then, he has worked on a number of award-winning films from directors around the world.- IMDb Mini Biography By: ThunderWave Studios
