Sometimes all it takes to become sports royalty is to be born into a family with a strong athlete. That’s pretty much the case for Brittany Favre. She’s known widely as the daughter of legendary former NFL quarterback Brett Favre. However, she’s not just covered by the shadow of her father’s success. Favre is a successful sports and entertainment lawyer in her own right. In addition to being a wife and mother of three, she also manages to fit in time for her practice. She’s had her fair share of ups and downs, but it’s clear that Favre is winning.

Lance Bass rose to fame in boy band N’Sync, and founded The Lance Bass Foundation in 2001 to meet the health needs of low-income children.
In 2003, Bass donated $30,000 US to establish the Amber Pulliam Special Education Endowment at The University of Southern Mississippi. The endowment is in honor of his younger cousin, Amber Pulliam, who has Down’s Syndrome, and was established to financially aid students from Mississippi’s Pine Belt who plan a career in special education.
After 2005’s Hurricane Katrina, Bass launched “uBid For Hurricane Relief”, a celebrity auction to benefit victims of the hurricane, with uBid.com. Proceeds from the auction were split between the Child Welfare League of America, The Brett Favre Fourward Foundation, and Ashton Kutcher's RockWorks Foundation.

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre filed three separate defamation lawsuits on Thursday against national sports commentators Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee as well as state auditor Shad White, ESPN reports.
Favre is currently embroiled in a 2020 fraud case involving 77 million in welfare spending that was misappropriated and embezzled by non-profits and the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

Brett Favre is attempting to shut down a bombshell civil lawsuit that was filed against himself and his businesses for allegedly misappropriating over 1 million in Mississippi welfare funds. This suit is part of several other attempts by the Mississippi Department of Human Resources to recover over 20 million in welfare funds that were “squandered” by companies and individuals who promised to use them properly to benefit families in poverty.
The crux of the issue with Favre was apparently that while this money was meant for Mississippi families, the money instead went to paying for several public appearances from Favre that never even happened. Favre was born in Mississippi
His lawyers have claimed that Favre is being unfairly targeted in this suit as a famous athlete. “Mr. Favre never had any control over how Mississippi spent its welfare funds. He never made any misrepresentations to anyone,” his attorney Eric Herschmann claimed.

Brett Favre is facing fraud allegations and SiriusXM has taken the step of placing his show on hold. The former football player has been hosting the show The SiriusXM Blitz With Brett Favre and Bruce Murray since 2018 and last aired on September 13.
The Mississippi Department of Human Services sued the retired NFL quarterback along with three former wrestlers and businesses in an effort to recover “misspent welfare dollars” that were supposed to people in need, according to ESPN. The lawsuit claims the defendants “squandered” more than 20 million from the program Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.
According to recent text messages that came to light, Favre, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant, the former executive director of the Mississippi Department of Human Resources John Davis and Nancy New, allegedly worked to divert funds from the welfare program to fund a volleyball stadium at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Rihanna will be the headline performer at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show in February 2023, the National Football Leage (NFL) has announced.
The 34-year-old singer and businesswoman will take top billing at perhaps the biggest single musical performance in America, joining fellow pop titans such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Madonna.
"Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,” said Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation is one of the producers of the show, on Sunday.
“A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”
Rihanna, known off stage as Robyn Rihanna Fenty, previously declined an offer to perform at the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, who has been unsigned by any American football team since his on-pitch protests against racial injustice in 2016.

Brett Favre was unexpectedly named in a scandal regarding the defrauding of 70 million meant for the poorest residents of Mississippi on federal assistance programs.
This scandal is being thrown into even harsher relief right now because the city of Jackson is suffering from a lack of clean water.
Favre’s involvement was revealed when John Davis, the former Mississippi Department of Human Services Director, pleaded guilty to defrauding his state on Thursday. As part of his plea deal, there is a chance that Davis will be spilling more details on how Favre participated in the future.
What we know now is that Favre allegedly received around 8 million in these funds for different initiatives he requested. The retired football player was reportedly payed 1.1 million for speaking engagements that never occurred, and requested and received 5 million in a donation to the University of Southern Mississippi for a new volleyball court, his alma...

ESPN shocked the basketball world late Wednesday night when its Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka was likely to face a lengthy suspension for having an intimate relationship with another team employee. The Athletic similarly confirmed that the affair was completely consensual, but because it involved a subordinate, it was a violation of the Celtics’ organizational policies and could likely result in a season-long suspension.
The story, which broke during the middle of the week when there is often a lull in the football news that’s the cabler’s greatest source of interest this time of year, dominated ESPN’s Thursday morning news coverage.
Still, many felt like the coverage of Udoka’s personal life has been excessive, especially considering the other, arguably larger stories of ethical lapses currently being discussed in the sports world. Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre...
