Cops: Maloof Boozed, Popped Pills and Sped
George Maloof -- part owner of the Sacramento Kings and The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas -- told cops he was under the influence of Ambien and Corona when he sped down a Vegas street and lost control of his car earlier this month.
TMZ has obtained the police report, which says Maloof was going 72 Mph in a 45 Mph zone when he lost control of his vehicle trying to make a left turn and drove into oncoming traffic.
Maybe more significant -- Maloof told cops he popped an Ambien 20 minutes before losing control. Oh yeah, he also said he had 4 Coronas.
Maloof's blood alcohol level was .091 -- which exceeded the legal limit and does not account for the Ambien reaction.
One final thing, in the report, the officer said to Maloof, "Without looking at your watch, do you know what time it is?...

Christopher Walken and South Park's Cartman aren't the only ones who love Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face.'
The Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will use her hit song in their latest ad campaign.
Which is amusing since we only recently found out that the song is about her fantasizing about having sex with women while making love to her boyfriend. What happens in Vegas, gets fantasized about? The ad, which finishes with the slogan "Show Us Your Poker Face", focuses on the resort's exciting features, including the Playboy Club and Fantasy Towers.
Palms owner George Maloof said; "We feel that this is a special and unique opportunity to connect the Palms brand with one of the most respected and talented artists of our time."
Respected and talented to be sure. Also controversial.
On Barbara Walters show this week, Lady admitted she fantasized about women whilst making love to her ex-boyfriend.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that despite the expensive and complicated sound and light system, the Vegas club turned it all down to observe a moment of silence for Am. Even though preparations for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards have been underway for months, it always takes a little while for the reality of it to set in for me: I have to choose an outfit. I’m not a big fan of shopping, but I do try to take my red-carpet game pretty seriously.
For the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, which was really my first big hosting gig here in the States, I was decked out in Armani from head-to-toe. In fact, the suit I ended up wearing was the first one I saw when we were looking at red-carpet options. The jacket has these wonderfully exaggerated lapels and a built-in waistcoat, which made it stand out from all the rest. Coupled with a short-collar white shirt and a black-and-silver-striped tie, I think the outfit was the definition of understated cool (shame about my face, though).

While Spears, 26, relaxed and sipped water in a cabana at the Cinevegas party at the Palms Place, Federline drank Jack Daniels at Strip House only a few miles away. Britney Spears' pal and Las Vegas hotel owner George Maloof Jr. has dismissed reports he is in talks with the singer to make her pop comeback with a live spectacular at his Sin City resort.
Rumours of a Las Vegas concert surfaced online last month after the Palms Hotel + Casino boss was spotted meeting with Spears in Los Angeles.
Spears' former manager Larry Rudolph recently refuted the claims, but internet gossips have since sparked new speculation after the pop star flew into the gambling Mecca on Thursday.
But Maloof Jr. insists plans for a Vegas concert "didn't come up" during their previous discussions, although he admits it is a good idea.
He adds, "I'd love to have her here at the Pearl (Theater, at the Palms resort). It would be great."
