The next addition to the Arrowverse, Superman & Lois, is set to feature a more grounded version of the famous superhero alongside his intrepid wife, and a couple of photos have now teased a classic interpretation of the character.
Of course, several episodes of Supergirl have already shown us Tyler Hoechlin as both the Man of Steel and Clark Kent, with his appearance as the latter certainly in line with the meek reporter that the superhero disguises himself as, in the process winning over Teen Wolf fans initially unable to separate him from the rugged aggression of Derek Hale.
In keeping with this, one of the new images seen below, taken from the Instagram of Bitsie Tulloch, sees Clark looking particularly nerdy in an old-fashioned suit jacket with stacks of newspapers behind him that indicate that the notion of print media will at least for now be maintained, both of which...

Supergirl will be making her way over to The CW this October.
The CW will no doubt be a better fit for this exciting superhero series. Airing on CBS was a rather bizarre move in the first place, but at least Kara is making her way to her rightful home.
There's a lot up in the air since production moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver, but we know we'll still be seeing Cat Grant a fair amount of time, so that's great news!
Unfortunately, Calista Flockhart will not be returning as a series regular for Supergirl Season 2. This came as a huge blow to fans of the series.
But we have a new poster to celebrate all of the good coming our way!
It's pretty basic for a CW series. It's all about Kara. After all, it's her show. Fly, Supergirl, fly!
This time, they want the focus to be taken away from Supergirl.

Superman will be joining forces with Supergirl.
That much was confirmed when it was announced that Tyler Hoechlin would be portraying the iconic hero on Supergirl Season 2.
It was a bit odd that we didn't get a glimpse Superman in costume at the San Diego Comic-Con panel for the show.
Not much was really revealed at the panel, but the picture released today more than makes up for it.
We now have a our first official glimpse at both Supergirl and Superman together.
They're in full costume.
The Superman costume is actually pretty great.
There was a lot of criticism for Supergirl's when it was first unveiled, but there really isn't much to fault here.
Tyler Hoechlin was great in Teen Wolf as Derek Hale.
He should be able to pull off the role of Superman pretty well.

... Tyler Hoechlin!
Not long after producers confirmed that Supergirl Season 2 would feature a multiple-episode visit from Superman, the CW (formerly CBS) drama has announced that Hoechlin has landed this iconic role.
He will guest star on the first two installments of the series this fall as The Man of Steel.
“[Executive producer] Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” Supergirl showrunner Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement.
“We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”
Best known for his role on Teen Wolf alpha Derek Hale, Hoechlin’s previous TV credits also include:
7th Heaven, Lincoln Heights, Castle, My Boys and CSI: Miami.
On Superman Season 1, viewers were treated to the very occasional glimpses of Superman, but we never saw his face.

Ever since Supergirl was first premiered — or really, since it was first announced — everyone has been wondering if Superman will show up and which actor will portray him. Although Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) has done a stellar job building a series around her, rather than her famous cousin, we still want to catch a glimpse of the Man of Steel. Earlier this month, it was officially announced that Superman will show up in the second season and now, we finally learn who will portray him: Tyler Hoechlin. Tyler Hoechlin is best known for his role as Derek Hale on MTV's Teen Wolf but his other acting credits include Richard Linklater's recent Everybody Wants Some! and the two upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequels. Of the casting, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said, "Greg and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman. We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character." Superman will first make his appearance at the beginning of Supergirl's second season which will air Mondays this fall on The CW.

It’s no secret things get kinky in Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to last year’s (punishing) Bdsm romance, but it looks like they might also get more than a little hairy. According to TheWrap, Teen Wolf actor Tyler Hoechlin is coming aboard the Universal pic, taking on the supporting role of (no joke) Boyce Fox, who works with Anastasia Steele (star Dakota Johnson) at a publishing company.
Hoechlin, who plays Derek Hale on MTV’s Teen Wolf, is on the cusp of a Hollywood breakthrough, with roles in the spy actioner Stratton (which stars Dominic Cooper) and Richard Linklater’s college comedy Everybody Wants Some both in the can. Fifty Shades Darker will be his first bona fide blockbuster title – though his role, beefed up significantly from a heard-but-not-seen figure in the books, still seems somewhat fleeting.

5.8 Ouroboros
Teen Wolf continues to double down on the two advantages it has over other shows of its ilk on television: a large cast that is actively developing chemistry, and a willingness to slaughter extras by the dozens in the name of body horror and gore. Teen Wolf makes great use of both things this week, splitting the team up on various missions while highlighting the growing fractures in the group. Some want to go on a brave rescue mission, others opt for protecting the weak, and still others are actively working to take the fractured group and shatter it completely. There's a lot going on and the conflict grows with every passing moment. All the while, people die horribly.

5.4 Condition Terminal
Teen Wolf has a complicated relationship with the human body. On one hand, the show clearly loves it. After all, any excuse to get a Teen Wolf hunk to take his shirt off seems to be a good one, from Parrish's inability to keep clothes on (keeping up the tradition of Derek Hale's shirtlessness) to random shirtless cage-dancing hunks in their underwear at some sort of weird underground rave orgy club. Any excuse for some lubed-up guy abs. Of course, to counterbalance the lusty gaze on the male form is a deep, consistent vein of body horror. That hunky guy just might have a tail rip its way out of his spine or weird talon-like protrusions come bulging out from beneath the skin on his forearms.

5.1 Creatures Of The Night
The promise was that the awakening of the Nemeton in season three would serve as a beacon to supernatural creatures, with Scott's own reputation as a True Alpha only adding to the appeal of Beacon Hills. We've seen a lot of monsters come out of the woodwork since then, and a lot of new creatures added to the Teen Wolf mythology in the process. It's been an interesting experience, both for Scott and for the viewers at home, because we've been thrown a lot of new creatures in a short time without a ton of introduction.
That trend continues in the fifth season opener. There's plenty of cast turnover behind the scenes; Coach isn't returning for the fifth season, thanks...

Oh, Teen Wolf. You incoherent, messy, campy little show. If season 4 was a reset and focus on new characters and settings while wrapping up storylines of old ones (Argent, Derek Hale), then season 5 is almost another reset to focus on the high school setting. It's senior year, Teen Wolf fans, and the future is scarier than any beast they could ever face.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Teen Wolf. It was the first show I ever covered and it filled the void in my heart for supernatural teen dramas. Looking back, Teen Wolf has had sporadic moments of brilliance and stupidity alike -- emphasis on the moments part. Its great strength lies in executing smaller, intimate moments. The relationship between Scott and Stiles, the horror and dream sequences, bad-ass slo-mo scenes, ridiculous villain monologues -- the things my Teen Wolf dreams are made of.

The Teen Wolf pack is losing of its main members. Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Derek Hale on the MTV supernatural drama, will not be returning for the show’s fifth season as a series regular. “Tyler Hoechlin decided he wanted more time to pursue movies,” Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis told BuzzFeed. “We talked and creatively agreed that maybe this was a good season to refocus on the teens of Teen Wolf, and while he won’t be a series regular anymore, I can say that you probably won’t have seen the last of Derek Hale. We love him and miss him.” This news probably isn’t a surprise to many Teen Wolf fans, as throughout much of Season 4, Hoechlin’s Derek was sidelined as the series focused on its younger characters. Teen Wolf is losing one of its biggest breakout stars.
Tyler Hoechlin, who has played the brooding Derek Hale since season one, will not be a series regular when MTV's hit show returns for season five. “We talked and creatively agreed that maybe this was a good season to refocus on the teens of Teen Wolf,” executive producer Jeff Davis told BuzzFeed News.
Though Davis and the show promises it won’t be the last fans see of Hoechlin.

Bad news, "Teen Wolf" fans - Tyler Hoechlin is leaving the MTV show as a series regular.
Creator Jeff Davis confirmed the news, first reported by Buzzfeed, at the show's Paleyfest panel last night.
"Tyler Hoechlin decided he wanted more time to pursue movies. We talked and creatively agreed that maybe this was a good season to refocus on the teens of 'Teen Wolf,'" Davis told Buzzfeed.
But while Hoechlin's Derek won't be a big part of season 5, Davis promised that the character wouldn't be killed off. In fact, he revealed that he and the actor met to discuss possible storylines. "We have not seen the last of Derek Hale," Davis said.

Blake Jenner has been approached to star in Richard Linklater's next film.
The Glee actor is lined up to play one of the three lead baseball players in That's What I'm Talking About, reports Deadline.
Linklater - who directed Boyhood - is said to have offered the other two lead roles to Tyler Hoechlin and Wyatt Russell.
Hoechlin is known for starring as Derek Hale in Teen Wolf. He has also appeared in 7th Heaven and Tom Hanks film Road to Perdition.
Russell played Zook in comedy sequel 22 Jump Street.
That's What I'm Talking About will reportedly feature a similar tone to Linklater's Dazed and Confused.
Set in 1980, it will follow a college freshman who moves into a hard-partying baseball house at his college.

Teen Wolf’s Derek Hale hasn’t had a lot of luck with love. After his first love gets attacked by a werewolf, he’s forced to kill her to put her out of her misery. Then, he mistakenly falls for werewolf hunter Kate Argent. And let’s not forget his brief love affair with season two’s evil darach.
But now, season four has given Derek a new challenge to overcome: Being human. And with his werewolf powers fading, the one good thing that’s come out of Derek’s latest predicament is his somewhat healthy relationship with badass Braeden.

Apparently, she will still keep having problems trying to master her new banshee powers, and more. It’s a struggle for her to master her powers, and we’re going to see in the next two episodes how she struggles with that.” In addition to that, it was revealed that Derek Hale may become a human again over his whole losing his powers dilemma. Teen Wolf took Hall H on Thursday, where stars Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien and more dished on what fans can expect from the rest of season 4, and announced Teen Wolf has been picked up for a fifth season.
Teen Wolf To Focus On "Human Problems"
Executive producer Jeff Davis kicked off the excitement, announcing that MTV had picked up Teen Wolf for a 20-episode season 5 – eight episodes longer than season 4. After revealing the big news, Davis spoke about how he sees Teen Wolf evolving in season 4, noting that he wants to move away from the heavy mythology of the show. Davis mentioned Stephen Spielberg’s E.T. as the prime example, saying, “[It goes] back to human problems as oppose to creating another mythology or a creature.”
Perhaps one of the “human problems” will be more literal – this week’s episode of Teen Wolf "I.E.D." found Derek Hale, played by Tyler Hoechlin,...

Scott has to deal with the consequences of biting Liam. The mouthless man comes after the Hales. And Lydia is throwing a party and everyone’s invited.
Previously on Teen Wolf…. Scott and Stiles found themselves in a pitched battle to defend their machismo and their places on the lacrosse team against an adorable twinktastic freshman named Liam. Kira was told by her family that they were all moving to a less murderous locale like Somalia but after getting to first base with Scott, she totally vetoed that idea. And in an attempt to save Liam from a sexy cannibal, Scott sort of kind of bit him—it was just a nibble though!

Teen Wolf's excellent visuals continue to shine in season four. Here's Ron's review of The Benefactor...
Review
This review contains spoilers.
4.4 The Benefactor
I was very hesitant about the new additions to Teen Wolf's regular cast. They seemed a bit too young, truthfully. Late teens playing teenagers is one thing, even 23-year-old high school students can pass - though there are some background extras who look like they should be teaching rather than attending classes - but there's something that comes along with teenagers playing kids their age that's a little... not unnerving, per se, but worrying. I'm not sure why, because the new additions seem like they're going to be just as good as the previous cast members.
Scott, despite himself, has a new progeny. To save the life of Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), he had to sink his teeth into him, quite literally. The full moon is approaching.

Our favorite gang of overly attractive supernatural teens is back on this week’s episode of “Teen Wolf.” Last episode we found the pack in Mexico on a hunt for their beloved Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin). When Teen Wolf is at its best, it is mining all possible feels out of its situations. “Feels” is a relatively new term coined by the Tumblr generation, which means that basically Teen Wolf successfully replicates the emotional roller-coaster that is the teenage experience. First love, first crush, bromances, the never-ending travails of a transforming body, Teen Wolf handles all these very well indeed, without being too heavy-handed. When the show is heavy-handed, it usually doesn't stay that way for too long. Being a teenager is a horror show, and nobody knows that better than Derek Hale.

Season Four of our favorite show about teenage monsters kicks off with a run for the border, some dungeon crawling and Stiles being a bad ass.
Previously on Teen Wolf, Beacon Hills was invaded by psycho Alphas, a murderous dark druid, a bushel of Oni, some Kitsune and Scott’s dad. Lots of California teenagers sneak across the border to Mexico for underage drinking and partying, but very rarely do teenagers sneak across the border to infiltrate a cadre of dangerous killers and hunt down their missing friend/mentor. Such problems are relatively rare for the average teen, but not so much for Scott McCall, Stiles, Lydia, and new friends Kira and Malia. The teens of Teen Wolf get involved in some crazy shenanigans, and it looks like those shenanigans aren't getting any less crazy as the show enters its fourth season.
Derek is missing, and as the show suggested last season, the primary culprits are a group of hunters from Mexico known as the Calaveras. Or so Scott and company think. As it turns out, the mystery is much deeper than that,...
