James Schramm is a businessman and a visionary facilitating strategic partnerships in the entertainment, motion picture and media sector. Currently, his relationships and strategic partnerships occupy over 70% of Upfront media buying and 20% of distribution services in Hollywood.
He started his journey in 1990 after recovering from a near fatal motorcycle accident which left him in coma for 10 days, then confined to a wheelchair for a year and having to start over (walking and talking). In 1997, James created a production/commercial company: Summit Entertainment Inc. and a TV commercial service called "The Legal Helpline". Both became successful entities which added to his positioning skills and success today.
James has been a theatrical distributor for over 15 years (Studio level Domestic Theatrical Distribution/Placements of motion pictures, Studio films and Indies) in first run movie theaters throughout the United States of America and Canada). James and his companies have released and/or facilitated over 85 feature films: 27 independents and 58 studio films: service deals for media companies, distributors, mini majors and studios. James has been an "upfront" media buyer (pre-buy media for TV commercial spots) for over 20 years. He has also provided this same type of media to and for the movie business (Hollywood) by facilitating and providing incredible and profitable media programs to 3rd party media buyers. These 3rd party buyers are directly responsible on providing TV commercial/air time for movie trailer advertisements/placements. This type of media facilitation control over 70% of the all Major Motion Picture Movie TV media commercial and marketing advertisements. This controls the awareness (value) of a movie prior to, during and after the theatrical release opening date.
James owns several privately held companies as well as being CEO of a public company.
