Greta Lee and Ben Sinclair play a fractured couple who are the embodiment of an unbalanced modern day relationship, but with Sinclair deftly flipping expected gender roles, placing the male partner in the role of domesticity suffocating his creativity whilst his female counterpart, earning all of the money, continues to come home late from work. The Breakthrough is set over Christmas, a supposed time of time of goodwill and joy but here serves as a shining reminder of the couple’s simmering distaste for one another. There were no clear Oscar signals coming out of the 31st Hamptons International Film Festival. Still, there were some admirable stats for the eastern Long Island event that’s a favorite with filmmakers and locals. This year Hiff screened a lineup of films that were 49% female-directed and represented 42 countries from around the world. The festival had a record number of submissions this year and screened 72 features and 46 shorts with eight world premieres, three North American premieres, 12 US premieres, 13 East Coast premieres, and seven New York premieres.

Recently, CW served up the new, official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Reign" episode 20 of season 2. The episode is entitled, "Getaway," and it turns out that we're going to see Francis plot up a new scheme to take out the Dark Riders legend while Mary puts in her best effort to protect Conde from the vicious Vatican, and more. In the new, 11th episode press release: Mary is going aid an endangered Conde. Press release number 2: Mary (Adelaide Kane) will take action to save Condé (Sean Teale) when she learns the Vatican is hunting him for bearing the branded mark of the Dark Riders. Francis (Toby Regbo) will devise a plan to put an end to the Dark Riders legend, which puts Bash (Torrance Coombs) at risk. CW is going back to normal schedule and they are excited to share what remains left of their seasons. Thus the glowing network has released their latest primetime line up for Jan 19th’s week and yes, it does include Jane the Virgin.
