Stars: Alex Harries, Aneirin Hughes, Hannah Daniel, Mali Harries, Richard Harrington | Produced by Ed Talfan, Ed Thomas, D. Gethin Scourfield
After the events of season two, Dci Tom Mathias (Richard Harrington) is on the hunt for Iwan Thomas (Geraint Morgan). When Thomas is found dead though, Mathias is soon under suspicion in an investigation that will discover a cover-up connected to an old case that threatens to create a rift with the whole team.
Season three of Hinterland is interesting because it brings in a conspiracy that goes right to the top, and connects to the past. While each of the four episodes has a case to be solved to keep things moving, the hunt for the killer of Iwan Thomas is an the on-going overall story arc.
The problem with the case of course is that it threatens to unravel the cover-up, which people don’t want to be revealed.

Prince Harry says he has only recently been able to talk about the death of his mother Princess Diana - and that he "really regrets" not doing so sooner. The royal opened up at a barbecue he hosted at his Kensington Palace home recently for Heads Together, the mental health initiative he is spearheading with Prince William and Princess Kate. Their three-pronged approach, first reported by People in February and officially launched with a PSA in April, emphasizes de-stigmatizing mental health issues. For the barbeque, Harry, 31, invited several well-known sports personalities to discuss their own struggles. Speaking of his mom,...

Strictly Come Dancing had another classic Halloween episode this weekend, but of course it was scarier for some of the celebrities than others. But who looks like they might be out of the running and who is creeping closer to that Glitter Ball trophy?
Out of the running: Kirsty Gallacher
Well, this seems particularly cruel. Kirsty had finally started to turn things around last week and was creeping up our rankings… but then her Halloween Charleston went horribly wrong with slips and mistakes and she picked up her lowest score of the series before becoming the first woman to be booted out (she joins the series' other eliminees Iwan Thomas, Anthony Ogogo, Daniel O'Donnell and Ainsley Harriott). Bad luck, Kirsty.
10. Jamelia (⬇3)
It doesn't seem quite fair to have Jamelia at the bottom of the rankings. She's far from the worst dancer in the competition and she's been improving, too, but...

The 50-year-old BBC broadcaster - who performed the salsa to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' on the show last night - told Digital Spy: "The two standing out - in terms of they've had no previous experience but are brilliant - are Katie Derham and Anita Rani.
"And my friend Carol Kirkwood was absolutely certain she'd be first out. She's got a little bit more confidence every time I see her and she's enjoying it a lot more.

Strictly Come Dancing's Ola Jordan has defended her naked calendar and denied claims that the BBC weren't happy with her overtly sexy image.
The professional dancer - who exited the BBC One ballroom competition after the first week with Olympian Iwan Thomas - told Mirror Celebs: "I love doing my calendars. I work really hard on the way I look.
"I had a massive injury last year and I worked really hard to come back to the show."
The star injured her knee while competing on Channel 4's The Jump, and had initially feared she'd never walk again, let alone dance.
"There's too much focus on the negative rather than the positive. I didn't event know if I'd be able to work again," she continued.
When asked whether the BBC had been upset about the calendar, she added that the rumours were simply "rubbish".

Jimmy Bullard definitely doesn't want to see former campmate Gemma Collins re-entering the jungle, arguing that "she had her chance and she bottled it".
The former footballer and I'm a Celebrity star - fronting upcoming London Live sports series Jimmy Bullard Kicks Off - reacted to rumours Collins could be back on the ITV reality show by incredulously replying to Digital Spy: "No way, really? How did she get called back - she didn't last four minutes?!
"I disagree, I don't think she should be allowed back. She's had her chance and she bottled it."

"So then she started crying on me of all people.

Iwan Thomas became the first crestfallen celebrity contestant to exit Strictly Come Dancing last weekend along with professional dance partner Orla Jordan.

Strictly Come Dancing is doing a lot of good for the dance world, choreographer Matthew Bourne has claimed.
Speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, Bourne questioned whether dancers should be "snobby" towards the BBC One show, considering how it has helped turn everyone into "critics".
"I love it!" he said (via Radio Times). "I seriously appreciate what Strictly's done for dance.
"The dance world can be a bit snobby about things as we know, and Strictly's maybe one of them. What Strictly's done is make everyone into critics to a certain extent, because we all look and analyse the dances.
"But in a good way, because also what it does do is when someone is praised, we understand why this was better than last week, what they've gained."
Bourne has worked on productions including Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake.

In a series of tweets that followed, Jordan continued to critique Andre's performance, but also admitted that he was being extra hard on him because of his quality.

2. Kirsty Gallacher & Brendan Cole dancing the waltz: 4-5-6-5 = 20
Bruno: "Your feet were all over the place, I'm sure you can do better."

The 32-year-old beauty has reportedly been left fuming after the BBC One show's bosses snubbed her first choice in favour of Olympic athlete Iwan Thomas. A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Ola had a massive meltdown. She was ranting and raving as she genuinely thought they'd win. ''To make it worse, Iwan is based miles away and she doesn't even like him.'' With the Strictly Come Dancing launch show just around the corner, it was time for a little trip to the studios to meet the lucky (or unlucky) stars taking to the ballroom this year. Jeremy Vine was busy on the radio so couldn't be there, but we still managed to wangle plenty of secrets out of the celebs...
1. Don't expect Peter Andre to be whipping his shirt off immediately.
"I reckon I'm going to last ages. I do. I mean, the girls look awesome – all of the girls look awesome. But the guys, you've got a professional runner, you've got a boxer… Iwan's going to be first. He looks good, you know."
2. Jamelia's daughters don't even recognise her anymore.
"You become obsessed with it. Literally, this weekend I was washing up and dancing. My daughters were like, 'Mummy, what are you doing?' and I was like, 'I'm not your mummy anymore.

Objective's chief on why the magician's Channel 4 special this week had to be different and the return of Peep Show
Andrew Newman, an executive producer on illusionist Derren Brown's latest Channel 4 show, in which he coaches pensioners to steal a Chapman brothers painting from an art exhibition, is no stranger to brazen stunts. Early in his TV career, Newman worked with Sacha Baron Cohen in his Ali G phase and Chris Morris on Brass Eye, so he should have a natural affinity with Brown's high concept pranks.
As chief executive of Objective, the independent producer behind Brown's TV output, Newman oversees a programming slate that mirrors his own background working on offbeat, sometimes spiky series. The likes of Peep Show, Fresh Meat and Toast of London – recommissioned for a second Channel 4 series last week – attract critical plaudits and industry awards, but not always large audiences.

Five's revival of 1970s sports competition show Superstars made a fairly decent start in the ratings on Friday. The comeback features Steve Redgrave, Roger Black, Mike Catt and Kelly Holmes as team captains leading stars such as Lee Sharpe, Iwan Thomas and Mark Foster. Superstars drew 1.3m (6.2%) between 8pm and 9pm, on a par with the channel's average performance in the slot, and an improvement of 100,000 on a Jack The Ripper documentary at the same time last week.
