- Ricky Cavazos was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. He grew up having dreams of acting and being on television one day. In 1993, he moved to Austin, Texas to attend The University of Texas at Austin and began auditioning for roles. In 1995, Ricky got his first acting experience when he was cast in a TV pilot titled "Directors" which was marketed in Los Angeles. In 1997, Ricky did voice-over work for a short film that was subsequently shown on Austin Public Access. Ricky rocked the city of Austin when he made a national television appearance on Good Morning America (1975) and got consistently recognized. In 2003, Ricky was chosen to be a football player in a hex rally scene alongside Tommy Lee Jones in the film _Man of the House (2005)_. In 2004, Ricky once again gained national exposure when he beat out sixty guys for a principal role in a national television commercial for Greyhound. You can also see Ricky in the film, The King (2005), in which he is in a scene with William Hurt.
