Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the Season 1 finale of Tracker.
Colter Shaw is off the case — but just until the next fall broadcast season begins.
Season 1 of CBS’ Tracker ended Sunday night with one of Colter’s (Justin Hartley) hardest and most personal cases yet when a family friend’s daughter goes missing while storm chasing with a friend. Officials are certain that she and her friend were lost at sea, but Colter isn’t so sure.

Audiences were left on a cliffhanger as, at the end of the episode, Colter uncovers yet another cryptic fact about his past, leaving him with more questions about his family...

Tracker’s season 1 is coming close to its end as the final episode is set to be aired on May 19, and there are quite many things to expect from the show’s big finale.
Apart from all the possible cliffhangers that Tracker’s first season may have stored for an upcoming second installment, the show’s most sinister storyline can also receive a bit more light before being left for future.
Throughout the whole first season, Tracker’s main character Colter Shaw has been haunted by his family’s secrets that he so far never got to learn the truth about. The pilot episode was the one that proved Colter’s suspicions about his brother Russell’s take in their father’s death in the woods years before.

Tracker’s next season will surely be diving deeper into Colter Shaw’s family past as the first season’s final episodes unveil the show’s big mystery more and more.
While initially Colter was making attempts to run away from his family issues, the penultimate episode introduced his brother Russell, portrayed by Supernatural’s star Jensen Ackles, who now has no other choice but to finally unite with Colter confronting the circumstances surrounding their father’s death years ago.
The twelfth episode, titled Off the Books, now goes in a pretty much big contrast with what the viewers saw in the first season’s pilot. Tracker’s first ever episode clearly showed Colter’s flashbacks about his father’s accidental death in the woods that, to everyone’s surprise, had something to do with his brother Russell with the latter allegedly pushing their father to his death.

When you pair up two ridiculously magnetic actors in an action-adventure series, what you get in return is one hell of an entertaining hour of television.
Tracker Season 1 Episode 12 may be the best installment since the pilot.
And I'll let you take a wild guess as to why that might be.
Whoever decided to cast Jensen Ackles as Russell Shaw deserves their favorite beverage of choice and big ol' hug because it was a perfect piece of casting.
Tracker has a knack for bringing in compelling guest actors every week, but there was something extra special about Jensen joining the fray, and it probably had to do with the fact his appearance was two-fold.
Not only was Russell a link to Colter's past and a beacon of information regarding the Shaw Family drama, but he was also a significant player in the case of the week.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Tracker Season 1 Episode 11 “Beyond the Campus Walls.”] It only takes until the end of the latest Tracker episode, but Colter (Justin Hartley) does sit down for dinner with his sister, Dory (Melissa Roxburgh). It had been a year without a phone call when the two reunited (he doesn’t call her back), and he showed her the file he got about their father—which includes something they hadn’t known: Their father was employed by the government for years. As Dory sees it, their mother was just as crazy as their late father, and she’s more than happy to leave that all in the past. She remarks that their brother Russell says Colter’s ducking his calls and tries to encourage him to talk to him. Though he doesn’t commit to dinner at the time, he does sit ...

Now, we’re getting somewhere!
It’s been many weeks since there was any movement on the Shaw Family drama front, but Tracker Season 1 Episode 11 had a nice subplot that answered many questions and finally introduced to someone else in the family.
Colter’s sibling reunion, of course, surrounded a case, but the two opened up a communication line that seemed to have Colter questioning more things about his past.
Before getting into the Colter and Dory stuff, a very twisty and odd case was at the forefront here.
And it was a damn interesting one, with Colter first suspecting a college student may have just bitten off a little more than he could chew and then quickly realizing he’d found himself engaged in some pretty dark stuff.
A college student feeling overwhelmed and wanting to take a break certainly wouldn’t be abnormal. Still, from the sounds of things,...

Tracker fans who want to know more about Colton Shaw’s family will finally get to meet his sister in Season 1, Episode 11 entitled “Beyond The Campus Walls.” The CBS action drama series has slowly been unpeeling the layers of Colter’s past. But, this episode promises to open up a Pandora’s box of new questions.
It was in the series premiere that showed the Shaw family’s unusual story. Ashton and Mary Shaw were Berkeley professors. However, as Colter remembered it, there was an “incident with dad.” That led the family to move to a compound deep in the Sierra National Forest. Although they were off-grid, Ashton Shaw was very paranoid. Therefore, he taught his children survival’s skills. That means they learned to hunt and track, and climb a place called Devil’s Notch.

Call your sister more often, Colter! Melissa Roxburgh comes in as Dr. Dory Shaw, the sister of Justin Hartley‘s character on Tracker—”This is the first time I’ve worked with a friend, so it’s super nice to just be familiar with him,” the actress says—and it’s not easy for her to get face time with her brother even when he’s in the same area! Colter’s not one to call her, either, as Dory calls him out on in the May 5 episode, which introduces the adult version (a professor) of the character we’ve seen as a kid in flashbacks. “I think he’s been like this a long time now,” Roxburgh tells TV Insider. “I think that their whole family kind of fell apart when [their father’s] death happened. So I think this isn’t new that she doesn’t see her brother very much,...

The Shaw family drama is finally getting some attention during Tracker Season 1 Episode 11.
The hour will see Colter team up with his little sister Dory when a grad student goes missing after a house party.
Said student goes to the college Dory works at, and we'll see the long-awaited reunion between Colter and one of his siblings, whom we've only seen in flashbacks.
Little is known about Dory, as she wasn't a main factor in the flashbacks we saw of the Shaw family. And in the present day, Colter hasn't spoken about her much, if at all.
We know he's been avoiding big brother Russell, who seemed desperate to speak with him earlier in the season, but it hasn't been made clear what his relationship with Dory is like.
Colter keeps to himself, as we've seen throughout Tracker Season 1. He isn't one to date, or go on many social outings.

CBS NCIS on Monday night delivered the franchise’s 1,000th total episode, including any and all spinoffs. What Easter eggs did writer Christopher J. Waild scatter throughout the hour, for longtime fans to find?
The milestone episode, “A Thousand Yards,” took its wink-wink title from Kasie’s finding that the sniper who shot Vance at his late wife’s grave site in the cold open was that far a distance away.

Justin Hartley and Ashley Nicole Roxburgh in ‘Tracker’ season 1 episode 1
CBS’s Tracker snagged the coveted spot following the Super Bowl, kicking off the network’s new primetime drama in what was supposed to be the best possible time slot to draw in viewers. Unfortunately for the series, the Super Bowl went into overtime which meant Tracker didn’t debut on the East Coast until after 11pm.
Based on Jeffrey Deaver’s The Never Game, the action drama stars This Is Us’ Justin Hartley as a loner who has a particular skill set that makes him the perfect person to track missing people. Episode one, “Klamath Falls,” introduces Hartley as Colter Shaw, a survivalist who earns a living by searching for missing people and collecting rewards. With support from his close-knit team – Robin Weigert as Teddi, Abby McEnany as Velma, Eric Graise as Bobby, and Fiona Rene as Reenie – Colter...

CBS on Sunday used Super Bowl Lviii as a launchpad for the Justin Hartley vehicle Tracker. The one-hour drama — which is loosely based on the Jeffrey Deaver novel “The Never Game” — casts the This Is Us vet as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country and uses his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries… all while contending with his own fractured family.

It’s hard to explain exactly what inspired this list. Maybe we just wanted to rave some more about Pixar. Maybe watching Avatar again and the new sequel Avatar: The Way of Water boggled our minds. Whatever it was, it’s done, and we can’t take it back (the delete key is broken). It is kind of strange that there are so many blue movie characters. If we wanted to do, say, Best Red Characters in Movies, it would just be five pictures of Hellboy and five pictures of Darth Maul. Travel below to see our picks for the very best blue characters in movie history!

Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg in ‘A Real Pain’ (Courtesy of Sundance Institute)
Writer/director Jesse Eisenberg explores his family’s history in A Real Pain, a poignant and heartfelt dramedy that follows two cousins on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Eisenberg stars opposite Kieran Culkin, with the filmmaker taking the less showy, more grounded role while Culkin portrays the complex, conflicted, and damaged cousin.
Benji (Culkin) and David (Eisenberg), just three weeks apart in age but vastly different in maturity levels, embark on a Heritage Tour in Poland in honor of their recently departed grandmother Dory. Dory, who was born in Poland and survived the Holocaust, left the cousins money to take the tour to learn more about their family history.
David’s personality is established in the opening minutes when he repeatedly calls Benji to give him updates on the traffic, always ending his messages with, “Ring me when you get this.

If you are here, then by now, you are done binge-watching Based On A True Story. Peacock’s latest crime comedy is slowly becoming a rage thanks to its addictive murder mystery storyline with a dash of comedy. But the problem is, it gets over in no time, as there are only eight episodes. However, right now, we are not certain if or when we will get the second season of the show. So, what we need at the moment is a fix—a show as exciting as Based On A True Story. That is why I have decided to step in with a list of shows that might just do the trick for you. Not all of these are going to be murder mysteries, as I would be exploring things beyond the obvious similarity. My objective is to suggest a show to you that can mirror the same experience...
