- Jan. 24 2006 Halley Wegryn Gross portrayed the 16 year old, Mila in a reading of Huddersfield. Presented by The New Group at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY. Written by the Serbian Ugljesa Sajtinacand newly adapted by Caridad Svich it is a raucous tale of college buddies and a young girl caught in a long night of sex, madness and growing up. Directed by Dalia Ibelhauptaite.
- A staged reading of "Love Kills" the rock-infected chamber musical by OBIE Award-winner Kyle Jarrow that tells the story of real-life teenage spree killers Charlie Starkweather and Caril Fugate, who murdered eleven innocent people in the course of one week in 1958.Directed by Habib Azar at Ars Nova Theatre, New York City, March 2006. Halley portrayed Caril Fugate with Daniel Jenkins, Maggie Moore, Zach Schaffer and Daniel Zaitchick.
- Spring 2004 - sang the title role of Prozac in a workshop of "Prozac and the Platypus". Written by Elise Thoron, music by Jill Sobule and directed by Rebecca Taichman.
- Fall 2004 - portrayed Samantha in a reading of "My First Radical" for the New Dramatists, Arts Nova Theatre. Directed by Michael Sexton, the cast included: Chris DeOni, Spencer Grammer, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Lin Manuel Miranda and Ed Vassallo.
- Opening October 9, 2006 Off-Broadway at The Acorn Theatre - portrays Jenny, Miss Brodie protégée in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" starring Cynthia Nixon in the title role. Directed by Scott Elliot of The New Group, the cast includes: Emily Bicks, Ritchie Coster, Lisa Emery, Betsy Hogg, Zoe Kazan,Caroline Lagerfelt, John Pankow, Caity Quinn, Matthew Rauch and Sarah Steele.

- (February 24 to March 30, 2008) She played Bitch, at the start of hers, in Lee Blessing's play, "Great Falls," in a Humana Festival production at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky with Tom Nelis (Monkey Man, in the middle of his life) in the cast. Lucie Tiberghien was director.
