Jason Momoa has a long history and well-documented love affair with Guinness. From visiting headquarters in Ireland while filming Game of Thrones to slamming pints to get pumped for Aquaman, the actor hasn’t been shy about sharing his passion for the stout. There’s a new status update: Guinness debuted a new piece of content co-directed by and starring Momoa and produced by his production company On the Roam, a partnership that’s been in the works for more than a decade.
The spot, which hit social media Wednesday with TV spots to debut next week, opens with Momoa discovering that he’s 2 percent Irish and follows him as he dashes out of a sushi restaurant to begin the celebrations with a sprint across town to a pub. “My whole company is in it, we produced it, I co-directed it with my best friend and then I wrote it with another best friend.

Jason Momoa is hitting the road again. The actor has struck a deal for a second season of his documentary series On the Roam with Max.
The first season, filmed over the span of three years, follows the actor as he travels through the U.S. “chasing art, adventure, and friendship through the lens of craftsmanship.” Momoa spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the project at the top of the year and explained what motivated him to carve out time from his busy schedule of top-lining movie franchises and pricey Apple series to ride his bike out to rural locales.
He also explained why he identifies as a dirtbag.
“I used to live out of my car, carry my world and my rucksack,” Momoa said over the Zoom conversation, during which he also partially disrobed. “So, from the climber’s point of view, a dirtbag is just someone who’s really in nature,...

Even if you walked away from "The Super Mario Bros." disappointed in the flimsy story, there's one element that succeeded in spite of the movie's shortcomings: Jack Black as the diabolical villain Bowser. The "School of Rock" star brought his magnificent voice to the spike-shelled bad guy who has always been tormenting Mario, Luigi, Peach, the Mushroom Kingdom, and beyond. Black even got to belt out a ballad about Bowser's love for Peach in a scene-stealing musical sequence that is easily the best part of the entire movie. Now, he's gearing up to join another promising video game movie.
Deadline reports that Warner Bros. Pictures, Vertigo, and Legendary are close to starting production on the "Minecraft" movie, adapting the hit sandbox world video game from Mojang Studios, and Jack Black is taking one of the lead roles alongside "Aquaman" star Jason Momoa.
