A beloved former star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York is reportedly vying for the coveted role in the upcoming first-ever season of The Golden Bachelorette.
Fans of both shows are buzzing with speculation about the potential reality TV crossover. Could this be the moment that The Bachelor goes outside the franchise for the lead?
Rhony Reboot Renewed For Another Season
The Real Housewives of New York City debuted in 2008 as the second installment of what would be Bravo’s most popular franchise. But after 13 seasons, the entire Rhony cast was replaced with younger stars. Season 14 of the rebooted show premiered in summer 2023 to stellar ratings.
Bravo confirmed last month that the show had been renewed for Season 15 with Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield all returning.

There are more shakeups in the world of the Real Housewives. Over the last several days, Bravo has dropped some of its key stars. Now, new housewives are being added to the roster. Rebecca Minkoff, the designer best known for her statement handbags, will join the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for season 15. The news comes just one day after Crystal Kung Minkoff departed The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The connection stops there, though.

When Bravo announced that all of the Real Housewives of New York Season 14 ladies would be back for Season 15, it didn’t seem like there was an opportunity to add new cast members.
However, Deadline has reported that Rebecca Minkoff will join the next season’s cast in an undisclosed role.
That means we don’t know whether she’ll be a full-time cast member or a Housewives friend. Producers could decide after seeing what she brings to the table.
There’s also a slight chance that one or two returning cast members—Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield—could be demoted before the show begins.
Then again, we’ve had eight full-time housewives across the franchise before and could get the same again. Again, it will all come down to how the season shakes out.

Rebecca Minkoff is joining The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15, Deadline has learned.
A source close to production says the fashion designer has been filming with the cast for the new season in an unspecified role.
Bravo has yet to confirm if Minkoff will be holding an apple with the rest of the cast in a full-time capacity or if she will take on a “friend of” role when the reality series returns later this year.
Minkoff co-founded, with her brother Uri Minkoff, the Rebecca Minkoff brand, which specializes in luxury handbags, accessories, and apparel. In September 2018, she established the Female Founder Collective, a network of women-led businesses that invests in women’s financial power and empowers female-owned businesses.

Dorinda Medley was once one of the most familiar faces of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Nowadays, the show has forged a new path with an entirely new cast, but Medley believes the recipe for success is mixing up the cast.
In a new interview on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, the Rhony alum pitched a special that would find Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Ubah Hassan taking a trip to Bluestone Manor in the Berkshires.
“We should send those new girls up there for a night and see how they fare,” the 59-year-old declared.
Medley wouldn’t want to intimidate the new cast members, so she would ensure that only “a couple” of the legacy cast members were a part of the project.
Medley recently reconnected with Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, and Kristen Taekman...

Jenna Lyons was part of Season 14 of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City, but she kept a lot of stuff private, and in Season 15, she will return with the same intention. A lot of Bravo fans didn’t expect her back as she didn’t make it to Bravocon. Now it’s been confirmed that she will be part of the cast.
Rhony Jenna Lyons Returns, Bravo Fans Were Surprised
The news that the former President of J. Crew would probably return to Season 15 leaked out about two weeks ago. While some people liked the idea of her, she seemed way too non-committal for everyone to jump for joy. Remember, she’d spoken with Jimmy Fallon in November and said that she didn’t know if she’d return.

After months of rumors, it’s finally official:
The Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo for Season 15.
In a surprising turn of events, the entire cast — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield — will be back.
Lyons is the biggest surprise of those names because many believed she was done with the series.
In a November interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, she wondered whether she would return for another season.
At the time, she revealed that she enjoyed being on the show to promote her endeavors but was questioning whether she wanted her personal life showcased on reality TV.
Jenna Lyons will continue keeping parts of her life away from the cameras.
“I also am in a relationship now, and I have to take that into consideration,” she said.
“How that impacts not just me but the people around me.

The new cast of The Real Housewives of New York is sticking around, as Bravo has officially announced that all six stars — including Jenna Lyons — will return for season 15.
Bravo shared the news in a promotional video, featuring the women on a simulated group FaceTime call.
“Is it there?” asks Jessel Taank.
“Listen to me, it’s there!” responds Ubah Hassan.
“I don’t know if it’s there,” says Sai De Silva.
“Well … I heard it’s really close,” interjects Brynn Whitfield, winking to the camera.
Erin Lichy then tells her co-stars, “Guys, I’m telling you — it’s there!”
Lyons adds, “Honestly, I’m going to be the one to dispel the rumors, because season 15, it’s there.”
Nodding to her comment about Tribeca in the previous season, Taank closes the video saying the upcoming season is “really up and coming.”

Following Bravo’s reboot of “The Real Housewives of New York City” last year, the network has announced that all six cast members are set to return for its upcoming Season 15. Yes, that includes even the ostensibly elusive, seemingly reluctant Jenna Lyons, who came into the show’s 14th season as the cast’s only famous person, and revealed herself over the course of the show to be a shy, charming oddball — and who, since the season premiered in July of last year, has been the subject of endless rumors speculating that she would not care to repeat the experience.
Yet Lyons is in fact coming back to “Rhony” full time — which is good, because fans have nicknamed her Jenna Fucking Lyons, and that shouldn’t go to waste — along with Brynn Whitfield, Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Jessel Taank and Ubah Hassan. Bravo and Shed Media, which produces the show,...

Rebooting a series that’s still very much on the air is no easy task, but the producers of The Real Housewives of New York managed to pull off the impossible.
How do you fire an entire cast and usher in a new era of a show that’s so beloved by fans?
The good news is that The Real Housewives of New York delivered in many key areas. There was drama, feuds, and new faces thrust into the spotlight.
As we look ahead to The Real Housewives of New York Season 15, new rumors are spilling out, and we’re pleasantly surprised.
Jenna Lyons, who seemed to disengage from the show of her own volition at several points during her freshman season, is expected to return.
In fact, Queens of Bravo reports that the cast — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield — are all likely to return.

All the Real Housewives stars defending Andy Cohen amid Leah McSweeney and Brandi Glanville lawsuits
Andy Cohen has been making headlines after Brandi Glanville and Leah McSweeney have filed lawsuits against him and Bravo.
The Bravo boss has found himself under fire by his former employees, who have accused him of some pretty damaging things.

Amid allegations against him from former Real Housewives stars Leah McSweeney and Brandi Glanville, Andy Cohen is getting glowing testimonials from other Housewives. “[Cohen] has always been genuinely fair, loving, considerate, and always the consummate professional,” The Real Housewives of Miami’s Marysol Patton wrote on Instagram on Friday. In comments on Patton’s post, Rhom co-star Alexia Nepola and Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs echoed her sentiments, per Deadline. That same day, Rhom star Lisa Hochstein posted similar thoughts on Instagram. “[Cohen] has always been a standup man to me, my family, and my entire Rhom cast,” she wrote. In a recent Instagram Stories update, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Crystal Kung Minkoff wrote that Cohen “[has] always been incredibly kind, respectful and supportive,” per Deadline. And in her Instagram Stories, Real Housewives of New York City star Erin Lichy sang the executive producer’s praises.

Brynn Whitfield was one of the breakout stars of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14.
She’s cemented herself as a fan favorite with a bubbly personality, awe-inspiring fashion, and the inane ability to speak candidly in front of the Bravo cameras.

Erin Lichy has already shut down rumors that the reboot cast would be sharing the screen with the OGs, but if Whitfield has her way, she’d like a veteran from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on the cast.

If Erin Lichy didn’t want to start a feud with the original Real Housewives of New York City ladies, she probably shouldn’t have mentioned them.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Lichy shut down rumors that the legacy and new cast would be merging during a recent appearance on Housewives Nightcap.
Things got pretty awkward when the Rhony newbie was asked about Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, and Kristen Taekman reuniting for a season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
“It was cute,” the mother of three said in response to the question.
Given her delivery of the above sentence, we’re inclined to believe it was shade thrown at the OGs.

When Bravo announced it would be rebooting The Real Housewives of New York City with a brand-new cast for Season 14, there were plenty of skeptics.
More than the other shows in the never-ending Real Housewives franchise, the New York ladies had the most iconic moments.
Fans tuned in in their droves to watch the women get wasted, argue, and do the same thing the next day.
After 13 seasons, it got exhausting, so change was necessary to keep the show alive. The ratings were diving when Bravo made the call, so many fans were tired of that behavior.
Despite the relative success of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14, it’s hard not to think about what the dynamic would be like if some Og stars were thrown into the mix.
Something tells us Sonja Morgan and Brynn Whitfield would be a match made in reality TV heaven.

Shortly after Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County” finished its third season, the network introduced viewers to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” thus properly establishing an American franchise that has since grown to include nine more similarly formatted series and over two dozen spin-offs. Since March 2008, 14 seasons and more than 270 episodes of the Big Apple-set show have been produced, with 23 women having formed its various five to eight-person casts. Check out our photo gallery showcasing every housewife who has starred on this series.
Despite being filmed in a vastly different part of the United States, “The Real Housewives of New York City” closely emulated its predecessor by initially following the lives of five upper class female friends: Luann de Lesseps, Bethenny Frankel, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer, and Jill Zarin. Although de Lesseps briefly relinquished her star status for a single year, she and Singer remained on...

It was the reality TV scandal to end all scandals. So earth-shaking that it got its own hashtag: #Scandoval.
In early March, just a few episodes into the tenth season of Vanderpump Rules, it was sensationally revealed that Tom Sandoval — the worm-mustached cover-band lead and minority-stake West Hollywood bar owner — and Rachel (formerly Raquel) Leviss had been engaged in a secret months-long affair, all behind the back of Sandoval’s then-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, and their co-stars. Leviss — the retired pageant girl-turned-backstabber — had been recently linked to Sandoval’s best friend and business partner,...

Perhaps the most notable absence from last weekend’s BravoCon was “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Jenna Lyons.
All of her castmates — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield — attended the annual Bravo fan event in person, which was held in Las Vegas at the Caesars Forum from Friday to Sunday.
“I had some things to do,” Lyons told “Entertainment Tonight” at the Cfda Awards Monday night.
“I had some really important things to do like twiddle my thumbs,” the former executive creative director of J Crew explained, followed by an expression of feigned outrage.
“No, I had an event and some other things I had to do that were personal…it didn’t work out,” she added.
“Did you miss being there?” reporter Rachel Smith asked.
“No,” Lyons replied, admitting that filming was “a lot” and “different than my normal life.

BravoCon 2023 brought the drama during the gathering of reality TV’s biggest stars, held at the Caesars Forum in Las Vegas Nov. 3-5. “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval, who was booed consistently every time he answered a question at the fan event, got into a push-up battle with co-star James Kennedy. The “Scandoval” participant was part of the “Vanderpump Rules” panel at BravoCon, which kicked off its first day programming on Friday.
Tears were also shed by “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Kyle Richards and Garcelle Beauvais. Richards broke down after she was asked about her marriage to husband Mauricio Umansky, which has fallen under scrutiny since the couple separated earlier this year. Garcelle Beauvais also teared up taking about her relationship with her son Jax.

The first reunion featuring the revamped “The Real Housewives of New York City” cast just dropped its trailer, and it’s filled with tears, clapbacks and accusations.
In what has to be a reunion fashion first, Jenna Lyons indeed wears jeans — Levi’s, specifically — while her castmates are dressed to the nines.
With the superficial stuff out of the way, the cast dives into deeper subject matter, and emotions run high.
“I had a rough summer,” Erin Lichy says as she fights back tears. Perhaps she’s responding to the online backlash she faced regarding her multiple donations to RedWin, the GOP’s fundraising political action committee right after the November 2022 election, which Joe Biden won. Or hiding the cell of castmate Ubah Hassan, who is single and checks in with her family via phone nightly.
Hassan later breaks down herself, saying, “I’m so tired, nobody has my back.”

Sai De Silva, one of the newest faces on the Real Housewives of New York, has quickly captured attention, though not always favorably. Her recent conflicts with crowd-favorite Jessel Taank have turned the spotlight on her, and rumors about her marriage have fueled the fire.
While Sai openly discusses her family and children, she’s noticeably tight-lipped about her relationship with her husband, David Craig. This conspicuous silence around her marital origins has fans and critics alike buzzing with speculation.
Fans hit Sai De Silva with a rumor about how she met her husband
In the realm of the Real Housewives of New York, more visibility doesn’t necessarily equate to popularity or success. Sometimes, it can spotlight some less-than-stellar qualities in the cast.
Take Sai, who has quickly earned a reputation as the show’s antagonist, particularly after clashing with the crowd-favorite Jessel.

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers for Episode 12 of “The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 14 now streaming on Peacock TV and airing on Bravo TV.
Ubah Hassan is the breath of fresh air “The Real Housewives of New York City” needed.
When Andy Cohen told Variety last year that its NYC-based “Real Housewives” franchise would be “rebooting and recasting” the series from scratch, the network took a huge leap of faith — before Season 14 of “Rhony,” no franchise had ever been stripped to the bone before.
Though some of the new “Rhony” cast members are still in the limelight for vexed viewpoints, “Rhony” has found light in Hassan.
Of the cast, Hassan often serves as the lighthearted, bubbly voice of reason among the six New Yorkers. While she possesses an uplifting personality, Hassan has dealt with struggle throughout her life. Born in Somalia, she fled her home country with...

Will Jenna Lyons ever open up to her Real Housewives of New York City co-stars? The group tries to crack through her tough shell in the TV Insider exclusive clip from the Sunday, September 10, episode (above). The sneak peek begins with Jenna saying she doesn’t think the women would have given “a s**t whether I was there on the plane or not,” referencing the previous episode. “That’s not true,” Erin Lichy shoots back. “See, maybe that’s the problem.” Jenna seems to doubt her place in the group when she admits, “It never would have occurred to me that you would have cared.” This confuses the group. “You exclude yourself,” Sai de Silva says, as Brynn Whitfield chimes in, “You give gifts instead of connecting.” Jenna has frequently gifted the ladies lavish presents throughout Season 14. Could her belief that the women don’t care have been informed...

Jessel Taank is growing on people. At least, that’s The Real Housewives of New York City star’s read on the social media reactions to the new cast, debuted in Season 14. Currently airing on Bravo, Rhony Season 14 features an all-new cast of apple-bearers in a soft reboot of the long-running series. Taank has been a standout of the season because of her snafus caused by her crass British humor. At TV Insider’s office, the newly minted reality star tells us what it’s been like seeing viewers react to this new group of women, which includes fashion designer Jenna Lyons, interior designer and luxury real estate agent Erin Lichy, Instagram influencer Sai De Silva, corporate communications consultant Brynn Whitfield, business owner Ubah Hassan, and Taank, a fashion publicist. “The show has done a really good job of not overwhelming the audience with who we are and slowly trickling...

One of the most shocking scenes from the episodes ahead of the Bravo reality series has Sai De Silva and Brynn Whitfield exchanging words in a heated moment. Another tense moment is produced by Lichy and Ubah Hassan who call each other a “b***h” during the cast trip. Hassan also seemingly has a conflict with De Silva after the Ubah Hot founder is seen completely ignoring her during one of the scenes.

The current season “The Real Housewives of New York” may feature an all-new cast, but its legacy cast is returning to the small screen later this year.

A Reddit post from last year about the political donations of “The Real Housewives of New York City” has resurfaced in recent days, in which a TikTok creator said that new “Rhony” cast member Erin Lichy donated to Donald Trump’s Stop the Steal campaign. The thread has newly gone viral, causing an excavation into Lichy’s politics and political leanings. A search of the Federal Election Commission database reveals that in the wake of the Nov. 3, 2020 election, which resulted Joe Biden being elected as president, Lichy donated four times to WinRed, the Republican Party’s Political Action Committee for fundraising.
During those early days after the 2020 election had taken place on Nov. 3, Trump was already claiming falsely that the election had been stolen from him, which soon led to his “Stop the Steal” campaign, and later the Jan. 6 insurrection. The first two of Lichy’s $100 donations on Nov. 5 and Nov.

The Real Housewives of New York City editors blurred and bleeped out the name of the restaurant none of the new cast would be caught dead in, but fans and Rhony historians think they know the spot.
Vulture writer and Housewives historian Brian Moylan concluded that the disgraced restaurant is Catch. “I think we’re looking at Catch, which opened in October 2011,” he wrote in his latest review. “Tacky? Check. Huge? Check. Can take a last-minute reservation for a big group on the weekend? Check. D-list models? They’re going to ask you to pick up the check, honey. And Brynn even said she wouldn’t be ‘caught dead’ there. Give her the Bethenny Frankel Award.”
Brynn Whitfield suggested that she would only be seen there if she had relatives from out of town, specifically from Florida.
