The last Stranger Things season dropped almost two years ago with many things changing for the Hawkins crew. The show’s fourth season had multiple storylines, including the demon Vecna which became a pop cultural phenomenon. With shooting delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, filming for season 5 began in January.
Ross Duffer, who is one-half of the creators The Duffer Brothers, shared more behind-the-scenes images of the production. The current batch of images has many allusions to Jonathan and Nancy. One image, in particular, seems to be haunting as Jonathan and Nancy look back at something sinister from Steve Harrington’s car.

We’ve waited. We’ve speculated. And we now know the song that Eddie Munson (Joe Quinn) absolutely shreds on his guitar in the Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2 finale is Metallica’s “Master of Puppets.” Eddie’s big metal moment is a turning point for the president of the Hellfire Club, as he finally takes his life into his own hands after his world has been turned upside down all season. And also...
“It’s just fucking badass, isn’t it?” Quinn tells Tudum.
Badass and deliberately so. The Duffer brothers only ever had one song in mind when cooking up Eddie’s star-making moment. It was “Master of Puppets” or nothing, and it was written directly into the script. “They knew what they wanted,” says Quinn.

This article contains spoilers through Stranger Things season 4 and The Walking Dead.
To kill or not to kill? This is the question so many shows with large ensemble casts wrestle with as the tensions rise and the stakes become fatal deeper into the series. The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones took great pleasure in cutting down leading players like blades of grass in the springtime sun. It kept viewers on their toes, but it also hindered the strength of the respective casts. When too many fan favorites are whacked, it tests the loyalty of the people watching at home and the skills of the writers and directors to form a coherent story with the crumbs that remain.
Stranger Things weighs in on the other end of the spectrum. The Duffer Brothers have kept essentially every cherished character locked into the show from the debut season to the most recent one.

After teasing the release of the new trailer for the upcoming horror prequel, Paramount has just dropped the official second trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One. The film showcases that fateful day when the invasion began and the people of New York would struggle to deal with a fatal menace that attacks from sounds. The trailer seems to be the same one that was premiered at CinemaCon this year, as the footage matches the description given by our own Lance Vlcek, who was in attendance.
While John Krasinski directed the previous two films, he is producing A Quiet Place: Day One and has passed the helming duties over to Michael Sarnoski, director of the Nicolas Cage drama Pig (watch it Here). Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special) was attached to write and direct A Quiet Place: Day One for a while, but when he dropped out he was replaced by Sarnoski.

Four months of horror releases down, eight to go! With our 2024 Horror Preview, we’re looking ahead at some of the other horror movies we can’t wait to check out this year. For now, we’re only including movies that have a known release date, so films like the remakes/reboots of The Toxic Avenger and Witchboard are currently absent because they don’t have a release date yet, even though they’re likely to show up at some point in 2024. Here we go:

When we watch a TV show, we become attached to the characters we see on screen. We start caring about them like if they were real, we give them advice sitting on our couches and we root for them, too. It’s only natural if you have even a little note of compassion in you.
However, sometimes our beloved characters die on screen, and of course that makes us feel sad. And while some TV shows have no way of bringing back fallen characters, some, like soap operas or fantasy dramas, have a reputation for being able to do so.
With the news that Stranger Things season 5 already started production, fans are even more passionate about sharing their views on what the upcoming season would bring to them. There were a lot of talks about the desire to bring back, for example, Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn.

Joseph Quinn became a worldwide star overnight when he featured as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things. The British actor had been a part of shows such as Game of Thrones and BBC’s Howards End before he was cast as the Metallica-loving oddball in the Netflix series. He will be seen in A Quiet Place: Day One next.
Quinn was also cast as Johnny Storm a.k.a The Human Torch in the MCU’s upcoming The Fantastic Four. He would be sharing screen space with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. While the gang would be making their MCU debut, the role of Johnny Storm has been depicted twice before, with the first being portrayed by Chris Evans.

Although a majority of the critics seemingly deemed it unworthy, the original Fantastic Four film series is still regarded as one of the best adaptations ever created. This is because even though a lot of people had issues with the plotlines, pretty much no one had any issues with the cast which included Chris Evans’ widely acclaimed fan-favorite embodiment of the Human Torch as well.

In fact, Evans’ performance as Johnny Storm so deeply influenced the viewers that even someone like Joseph Quinn, who would be continuing the character’s legacy in the upcoming reboot, couldn’t help but praise him. But while he holds him in wide regard, Quinn has also made it clear that his portrayal of Johnny wouldn’t be the same, but rather, something he creates on his own.

The sci-fi horror A Quiet Place franchise is heading to New York with its latest entry, A Quiet Place: Day One, which is set to reach theatres on June 28th. With the film’s release date just a couple months away, it was no surprise to hear that Paramount was promoting it at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Those in attendance for the Paramount panel today were shown an extended trailer for the film – and JoBlo’s own Lance Vlcek was there to tell us what he saw!
Lance sent in the following description of the trailer: “Set in New York. Despite his heroic (and tragic) demise in Stranger Things Season 4, Eddie Munson might not be gone for good. Played by Joseph Quinn, Eddie was a student at Hawkins High School and the unique leader of the Hellfire Club, a group centered around Dungeons & Dragons.

He also rocked out on his electric guitar in his band, Corroded Coffin, and was pals with Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Mike Wheeler. Sadly, Eddie sacrificed himself, but there’s a chance he might come back somehow.
Fans are eagerly speculating about Quinn’s potential return in the final season of Stranger Things, as the actor himself remains tight-lipped about it. But looks like there’s a deeper meaning behind why he is keeping mum.

This past Wednesday Marvel Studios made a very special casting announcement via their social media platforms. It was a gift much sweeter and tasty than any Valentine’s Day candy sampler. And it’s been in the works for nearly five years. That’s when Disney officially purchased Fox Studios, which finally brought one of the most celebrated Marvel Comics into the “fold”. In the years before the 2008 launch of Marvel Studios, some of their characters were licensed out to several different studios. Sony still has Spidey, while Daredevil, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four were then at Fox. Dd was brought back in with the Netflix series (and a new Disney+ Maxi-series soon), and Deadpool & Wolverine will rule this July, all the while fans were clamoring for a “new take” on the “first family” of Marvel. Studio head Kevin Feige has teased it at a couple of Comicon appearances,...

Joseph Quinn is currently smashing it in Hollywood. After making a name for himself primarily on television, his upcoming movie roles include this year’s A Quiet Place: Day One and Gladiator 2.
As of Valentine’s Day this year, when the film’s whole cast was announced, he’s also been confirmed as playing Johnny Storm, Aka the Human Torch, in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four, which is due for release in July 2025.
It’s an interesting casting, but there’s no doubt the English actor can pull it off. Here are five of Joseph Quinn’s past roles that prove he’ll make a superb Johnny Storm for the MCU’s Fantastic Four.

A big announcement about Marvel’s first family was made on Valentine’s Day this year. The cast of The Fantastic Four, which stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanesa Kirby as Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, was finally revealed.
On top of that, the much-awaited flick has been rescheduled for July 2025, which is also the month that DC’s Superman: Legacy is set to premiere. Naturally, Marvel and DC Comics fans view this exciting month from different angles.
As a result of The Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts switching release dates, the former will now be released on July 25, 2025, instead of May 2, 2025. Since James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy will arrive on July 11, this is likely to be an epic battle akin to the one that happened in 2016. Remember that year...

Marvel's first family is coming back to theaters after two mixed-to-horrendous previous attempts. Now, Marvel Studios is hoping that third time's the charm when it comes to the Fantastic Four, and we finally have confirmation of who will don the suits. We already knew that Pedro Pascal had signed on to play Reed Richards — following a brief tease in "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness" where John Krasinski played an alternate universe version of Mr. Fantastic -- but there were several rumors as to who would play the rest of the family in what's simply titled "The Fantastic 4."
Well, get ready, because Pascal is now officially being joined by Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm. Like all superhero movies, the film's cast is made up of actors who you have undoubtedly seen before in projects both big and small.

If you even glanced at social media in the days leading up to the release of Volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 4, one thing was blatantly clear: Fans were terrified that one or more of their beloved characters were going to bite the dust — particularly, Eddie Munson.
Devastatingly, that fear was realized. In the Season 4 finale, Eddie (Joe Quinn) goes out in a moment of metal glory, battling a horde of Demobats to protect a town that vilified him for a crime he didn’t commit.
Despite Matt Duffer warning us that fans were likely to be “more frightened than they are normally for our characters” come Volume 2, and the bloodthirsty Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) killing Hawkins teens for sport all season, Eddie’s death left diehards around the world distraught. The Duffer brothers expected nothing less. Before the finale dropped, the co-creators texted Quinn saying, “We’re kind...

Bret Easton Ellis, the writer behind the infamous novel "American Psycho," is gearing up to make his directorial debut — and he's making a horror movie. Variety broke the news about Ellis' debut — titled "Relapse" — describing the project as an "elevated horror film," a turn of phrase that always rubs me the wrong way, but sure, let's move on. Joseph Quinn, who broke out in a big way playing Eddie Munson on "Stranger Things," will star in "Relapse" as Matt Cullen, a man "who checks into rehab after witnessing a horrific death during a debauched party. Three months later, he is set to get his life back together, staying at his parent's mansion in the hills of Los Angeles. But things have changed around Matt and everything seems off balance."
The full synopsis continues: "Fueled by his unstable personality and the invading power of social media, Matt's paranoia grows, messing up with his rehabilitation program.

Marvel Studios has its “Fantastic Four.”
The superhero quartet — the first characters created for Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby — will be played by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).
As part of the casting announcement, Disney has swapped the release dates of “The Fantastic Four” and “Thunderbolts”. Those are two of four Marvel tentpoles currently set to open in 2025, along with “Captain America: Brave New World” in February and “Blade” in November. Four Marvel films are also scheduled for 2026, including “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.” That’s a ramp up from 2024: Marvel only has “Deadpool & Wolverine” for theaters, on July 26.

After a long delay, Netflix’s immensely popular Stranger Things has gone into production for the last time. Millie Bobby Brown is treating this like “senior year” and is looking forward to the future, while executive producer and director Shawn Levy has been lining up projects like Deadpool 3 and a Star Wars movie. However, everyone involved also acknowledges the massive undertaking of ending such a cultural phenomenon as the show has been. Rumors have been flying about where the story of this final season may go and who might die.

Gaten Matarazzo is sharing ideas about what he would’ve changed about Stranger Things as the series ends after five seasons.
While appearing at a panel at Mega Con Orlando, Matarazzo was asked what changes he would make to the show.
“It might sound messed up but we should kill more people,” Matarazzo told the fan, according to Cbr. “This show would be so much better if the stakes were much higher, like at any moment, any of these kids can kick it. I feel like we’re all too safe.”
Matarazzo has played the role of Dustin Henderson throughout the series run of the Duffer Brothers created show that started in 2016.
In 2022, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley in the sci-fi series, also commented on having a “hero’s moment” for her character for the final season.

The sci-fi horror A Quiet Place franchise is heading to New York with its latest entry, A Quiet Place: Day One, which is set to reach theatres on June 28th – but cast member Alex Wolff (Hereditary) doesn’t think the film should be categorized as a sci-fi horror movie. During a red carpet chat with Discussing Film, Wolff said A Quiet Place: Day One is more like an expensive drama.
Wolff told Discussing Film, “That’s not a horror movie, not really. I might get in trouble for saying that. It’s the director of Pig, this film I did, so it’s very… it’s more a drama. The final season of "Stranger Things" is down one team member: actor Eduardo Franco recently confirmed to "The Steve Varley Show" (via ScreenRant) that his character on the Netflix juggernaut, stoner Argyle, won't be back for season 5. "I never got a phone call, so yeah, I think that's it," Franco told Varley after the host mentioned fan concerns that he was missing from the first cast photo for the new season. Production has reportedly already begun on season 5, so unless Matt and Ross Duffer have a last-minute plan to get Franco back in the show later down the line, it seems his character will be absent during the show's endgame.
It's not exactly surprising that "Stranger Things" would want to cut down on its cast, especially given that season 4 earned some criticism for its bloating, multiple plotlines and sprawling casts. Yet Franco's character, hippie pizza delivery guy Argyle, was one...

One of the new characters introduced in season 4 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was Argyle, a pothead delivery boy for Surfer Boy Pizza who helps some of the returning characters get from California back to their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana.
