Tori Hope Petersen
Tori Hope Petersen is mostly commonly know for her bestselling debut memoir Fostered. Throughout the book she illustrates what it was like growing up with an abusive mother before moving throughout many homes in the foster care system. Eventually her track coach took her in, adopted her into his family, and she became a four time state champion in track and field. She credited her faith in Christ for her success. Since gaining publicity in 2014, she went to college on a full ride scholarship and became an all-American in track and field. She rose back to notoriety in her mid-twenties while sharing her story on social media and through speaking engagements. In addition to speaking, she teaches Bible, runs programs for youth in foster care, and serves people in poverty through nonprofits and missions.
