The Mike Tyson biopic has been bouncing around the ring for years, with Jamie Foxx set to play Iron Mike over a span that has seen the project go from a theatrically released film directed by Martin Scorsese to a limited series helmed by Antoine Fuqua and title changes from Finding Mike to Tyson. And while Foxx’s recent health scare put many on high alert, Tyson himself is hoping that the Oscar winner will still be able to put on the gloves.
Speaking with Valuetainment, Mike Tyson said that there is still a chance that Jamie Foxx will play him in the biopic, but doesn’t know what the recent circumstances could lead to. “It was a possibility. You know, I don’t know what’s gonna happen now, but you know, it’s a strong possibility…Jamie’s closer to my age, so in order to do him,...

Last week, Variety reported that Jamie Foxx is attached to play one of the greatest boxing legends of all time in a new untitled biopic. Foxx will be taking on the role of Mike Tyson in the film, which is currently being written by Terence Winter (The Wolf of Wall Street, Boardwalk Empire). This is an impressive set of talent so far, and Foxx seems like a good fit to play the athlete.
According to the report, "producers are eager to tackle Tyson’s life story." There's no information on what aspects of the Tyson's life the film will focus on though. The boxer is "known for the power and ferocity he displayed in the ring, Tyson became not just the top boxer at the end of the ’80s but one of the most popular sports figures, with a rough around-the-edges personality he displayed both in and out of the ring.

Variety reported Wednesday that Terence Winter, writer and producer behind shows like Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos, is throwing his proverbial hat into the literal boxing ring by writing a biopic on boxer Mike Tyson.
And a source told Variety that Tyson would be portrayed by none other than Jamie Foxx. The film is untitled as of yet.
Tyson’s been making his own comeback story in the cultural scene for the last few years, including his infamous cameo in The Hangover, the eponymous documentary Tyson by James Toback in 2008, the release of his one-man Broadway show Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth and most recently of all, a bizarre turn as a cartoon detective on the upcoming TV show Mike Tyson Mysteries.
That still leaves plenty of territory for Winter to mine in his screenplay, be it his seedy complications with the law, his title fights with Lennox Lewis or Evander Holyfield...

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has made a deal with Blue Rider Press for North American rights to Undisputed Truth, described as a no-holds-barred tell-all memoir that chronicles Tyson’s journey from tumultuous past to tranquil present. The book will be published next summer and Blue Rider Press president and publisher David Rosenthal acquired the rights from David Vigliano and Anthony Mattero at Vigliano Associates. This guy has been through it all, winning the championship with devastating knockout power, making millions, and then suffering an unbelievable fall from grace. He lost his belt to Buster Douglas, the first time he was knocked out. Then he bit the ears off Evander Holyfield in the ring and was disqualified. There was a rape conviction and drug addiction, symbolizing a rage he was simply unable to control. He has finally pulled himself together, it seems. He headlined a well received one man...

London, Mar 7: Researchers have claimed that there is science behind cliche that 'women like bad men.'
Scientists have revealed that women find it hard to resist callous, self-obsessed and deceitful men.
During a discussion on America's NPR, human rights lawyer Arsalan Iftikhar expressed his surprise that singer Rihanna still reportedly liked Chris Brown, who he said 'didn't only hit Rihanna, he made her look like Buster Douglas'.
National Review writer Kevin D Williamson however, pointed out, that she might not be able to help it because it's in her genes to like men like Chris Brown.
Writing in a blog following the show this week he cited several pieces of research that back up his view, including the much.

Featuring Mike Tyson
Directed by James Toback
Rated R
Director James Toback makes what might seem like a controversialdecision: He lets Mike Tyson tell his own story.
Rather than interview business associates, ex-wives, boxing opponents, and friends, Toback's new documentary Tyson is a 90-minute monologue, Mike Tyson justifying and condemning himself and others in his life interspersed with archival footage that show a scared kid, a promising young fighter, a ferocious animal, and a fat family man seemingly at peace with himself.
We know the headlines of his life. Mike Tyson is the youngest heavyweight champion in history. He was once the most feared fighter of his generation. After a bitter divorce from actress Robin Givens, Tyson lost to a journeyman named Buster Douglas and was convicted of rape. And that was truly what pushed Tyson back down the mountain, even though he would later win two more world...

When Mike Tyson showed he wasn't invincible - the night Buster Douglas knocked him out in Japan - the odds were so miniscule that Iron Mike would lose, Vegas took it off the board. You couldn't bet on Buster Douglas to win.
Since that night in 1990, it has been downhill for a man quickly becoming the greatest heavyweight of his generation, and certainly the most feared. But the downhill slide hasn't just been in the ring, of course. A new documentary directed by James Toback gets up close and personal with Tyson to find out where it went so incredibly and irretrievably wrong.
Tyson did well at Sundance and will start its theatrical run in the U.S. next month, although it premieres in the U.K. on March 27th. Here's a fantastic new trailer for the film, courtesy of Trailer Addict.
