“Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix is putting Scandoval behind her, but still bringing the drama in an upcoming Lifetime movie.
On Friday, the network released the first trailer for the upcoming TV movie, “Buying Back My Daughter”, in which Madix has a supporting role.
The “Ripped From the Headlines” film is executive produced by and starring Meagan Good, and follows a couple’s teenage daughter who sneaks out of the house to attend a party, which soon escalates into a widespread search party spearheaded by Dana (Good) and the police. Three gripping films from Lifetime are coming to Canada this fall.
Today, the TV network unveiled a first-look trailer for its “Ripped From The Headlines” event, in which new “truly unbelievable movies” will premiere every weekend beginning September 16.
Dubbed “movies you have to see to believe,” a few of the titles will air on Lifetime Canada and Slice, including one starring “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix.

Disney CEO Bob Iger’s bombshell July comments that the linear TV business “may not be core” to the company brought a lot of anxiety for those working at any of the Disney’s linear networks.
There was more reason for concern this morning when Disney and Charter announced a new agreement after 10 days of carriage disruption on the Spectrum cable systems. As part of the deal, eight Disney networks, including Fxx, Fxm, Freeform, Disney Junior, Disney Xd and Nat Geo Wild, are being dropped — probably the biggest such exclusion of established cable nets in a carriage negotiation — with Disney getting wide distribution for its ad-supported Disney+ Basic service on Spectrum as well as improved terms for the ESPN suite of networks.
The news raises further questions about the viability of the eight networks, which are losing almost 20% of their distribution overnight amid industry-wide shift from linear to streaming. In an internal memo,...

Dino Dex is being produced for Prime Video, Amazon Kids+, TVOkids, Tfo, Knowledge Network and has the support of the Shaw Rocket Fund.
It’s the latest Dino-branded series, which has won three Daytime Emmys and several other awards and sold to more than 200 territories around the world.
Dino Dex comes after the original Dino Dan from 2008, Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures in 2014 and Dino Dana in 2017. A Dino Dana movie released on Prime Video and TVOkids in 2020.
Dino Dex features Dana’s younger brother, Dex. It will run to 13 episodes and is set to be released in 2024.
