Tosh.0 has become the latest Comedy Central live-action series to come to an end as the ViacomCBS network makes a hard pivot to adult animation.
The show created and hosted by comedian Daniel Tosh will end after its upcoming 12th season. ViacomCBS and Tosh plan to shop the series to other networks and digital platforms.
This comes 24 hours after it emerged that Drunk History will not be moving forward with its seventh season.
Tosh.0, which looks at the ever-changing social media landscape, is Comedy Central’s longest-running weekly live-action show. Including the 12th season, which begins September 15, it will reach 300 episodes, having run for 11 years. The final season will feature 10 episodes with its finale on November 24.
“I look forward to doing an animated reboot of my show on MTV in 25 years,” joked Tosh.

Season 12 of “Tosh.0” is set to debut on Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. Et and will consist of 10 episodes. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, ViacomCBS is working with Tosh and his team to shop the series to other outlets.

Comedy Central is staying in business with Daniel Tosh. The network and Tosh have closed an overall deal that includes a four-season, 80-episode extension for Tosh.O, as part of a first-look deal that would take the long-running franchise through its 16th season.
The deal would cover new scripted and unscripted development that would potentially feature Tosh on camera, as well as vehicles for other talent. Comedy Central and Tosh are currently in discussions for an unscripted series in which Tosh would host and executive produce and a script deal for which he would serve as an executive producer. Additionally, Comedy Central will launch a dedicated Tosh.0 channel on YouTube in early 2020 and today launched a Tosh.0 channel on Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service in the U.S. The extension and deal were announced Tuesday as part of Comedy Central’s presentation at the TCA Winter Press Tour.

Viewers are going to be seeing a whole lot more of Daniel Tosh on Comedy Central.
The comedian has signed a new overall deal with Comedy Central, part of which includes a four-season renewal for his “Tosh.0” weekly series, as well as a first-look deal for new scripted and unscripted development.
Tosh and Comedy Central are currently in discussions both on an unscripted series which Tosh is slated to host, and a script deal. The four-season renewal takes the series, which sees Tosh riffing on the best and worst of the internet, through season 16, and Comedy Central has also announced it is launching a dedicated “Tosh.0″ channel on Pluto TV, and a YouTube channel set to launch later this year.
The announcement was made by Comedy Central co-head of original content Sarah Babineau at the network’s Television Critics’ Association press tour day.

It took all of 19 days for Hollywood to jump on the idea to realize a film based on the life of the recently deceased "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert was necessary. Defamer found a casting call for the role of Maureen Orth, the wife of Russert, on Craigslist with the following: Small independent New York based film company is searching for the role of Maureen Orth, the wife of the late Tim Russert. The film will explore the last 24 hours of Russert's life and Golden Globe winner Randy Quaid is set to play the role of Tim Russert. Randy Quaid must be hurting for cash if he is willing to jump on this one. I guess dropping his lawsuit against the Brokeback Mountain producers was a bad move on his wallet. However, if you are looking for this film in theaters stop right now, the casting post alone tells us enough,...
