Penske Media Corp. has promoted George Grobar to the role of company President, effective immediately. Grobar, who has been at Pmc for 14 years, previously served as Chief Operating Officer with oversight of the company’s operating units and many of the corporate departments. He most recently led the integration of The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard into Pmc and oversaw a portfolio of Pmc’s music and entertainment brands, in addition to corporate planning functions.

The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday announced the appointment of Joe Shields to president of business operations, a newly created role.
This expansion in leadership comes in the wake of significant strides in operating profitability for THR over the past three years along with ambitions to expand its business in events, video, branded content and international operations.
Shields, who will be based in Los Angeles, will report to Penske Media chief operating officer George Grobar. He officially begins on Oct. 2.

The Hollywood Reporter has hired Maer Roshan as the trade publication’s Co-Editor-in-Chief, a role he’ll share with Editorial Director Nekesa Mumbi Moody.
THR announced the appointment today, calling it an “augmentation to leadership,” with both Roshan and Moody reporting to Penske Media’s Chief Operating Officer George Grobar. They’ll be based in Los Angeles, with Roshan beginning in his new role on September 25.
