Will He Bring Lucky Back To General Hospital?
Greg Vaughan is most known for his portrayal of the beloved character Eric Brady on Days Of Our Lives. But that wasn’t his first soap role. The heartthrob got his daytime start as Diego Guittierez on The Young & The Restless. However, the role on the CBS soap was short-lived.
In 2003, he joined the ABC soap General Hospital as legacy character Lucky Spencer, taking over from Jacob Young. The son of Luke and Laura was originated by Jonathan Jackson in 1993. Greg Vaughan played the role until 2009, when Jonathan Jackson returned. He left again in 2011 and was last seen briefly in 2015.
Almost ten years later, General Hospital fans are clamoring for Lucky Spencer to return to Port Charles. If the character did return,...

The retired Rms Queen Mary docked in Long Beach, California is considered one of the most haunted locations in the world — which only somewhat shines through in Gary Shore’s Haunting of the Queen Mary. Any wishes to relive Dark Castle Entertainment levels of production design in Ghost Ship won’t be fulfilled, but that said, Haunting of the Queen Mary is more successful than its brushed-under-the-rug release undersells. Shore and co-writer Tom Vaughan channel the Queen Mary’s grave history for a supernatural infestation that spans decades, complete with atmospheric haunts akin to what’s accomplished in remakes of Thir13en Ghosts or House on Haunted Hill. Proper spookiness prevails, even though the over two-hour length gunks up the film’s gears with subplots that slow momentum.
Alice Eve stars as Anne Calder, who pitches Queen Mary’s Captain Bittner (Dorian Lough) on a virtual 3D tour experience to resurrect the ship’s reputation.

In Anna Boden's and Ryan Fleck's 2019 superhero film "Captain Marvel," the title character (Brie Larson) has a cat she named Goose. Goose, a Garfield-like orange tabby, was named after the character played by Anthony Edwards in the 1986 film "Top Gun." But it would later be revealed that Goose was not a cat at all, but a shape-shifting alien creature called a flerkin, a voracious squid-like alien that can swallow human-sized prey whole before returning to the size of a house cat, presumably digesting its meals very, very quickly. It was Goose that scratched Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) across his eye, leaving him wearing his signature eyepatch.
According to a 2019 piece in Collider, "Captain Marvel" hired four different cat actors to play Goose throughout the film. Their names were Gonzo, Rizzo, Archie, and Reggie. One of them was hired because it has good at being held, one had the most attractive cat face,...

London, Aug 1 (Ians) Former England captain Michael Vaughan has praised Ben Stokes for his leadership of the Test team and believes the all-rounder has got the potential to become one of the greatest leaders in the side’s cricketing history.
Under Stokes’ captaincy, England bounced back from being 2-0 down to drawing 2-2 with Australia in a remarkable turnaround in the recently-concluded Ashes series, which ended with the hosts’ winning by 49 runs at The Oval.
England could have easily won the series 3-2 if the Manchester Test, where they dominated majorly, hadn’t ended in a draw due to rain. “He’s only been doing the job for 14 months but already he is right up there among England’s greatest ever captains. I think in time he will be hailed as England’s greatest ever Test captain.”

New Delhi, July 24 (Ians) Former England captain Michael Vaughan described the Australian cricket team as fortunate in retaining the Ashes, pointing out that rain helped the visitors.
The entire final day of the fourth Test was lost due to rain in Manchester on Sunday and the drawn match. The result means that the Ashes urn will be headed back to Australia regardless of the outcome in the fifth Test of an enthralling series at The Oval that starts on Thursday.
England needed five wickets to force a win with Australia needing 61 runs to force the hosts into batting again. The Ben Stokes-led side was in a dominant position for the majority of the match, but they were denied a crack at victory due to rain not allowing any play to happen on day five.

Manchester, July 23 (Ians) Former captain Michael Vaughan believes that if England manage to secure a victory on the final day of the fourth Ashes 2023 Test on Sunday, they will be in a favorable position to win the series.
After rain allowed only 30 overs of play on Saturday, Australia will resume their innings on 214-5, 61 runs behind on Day 5. If England take five quick wickets on Sunday, they will be able to level the series before heading into the crucial fifth Test next week at The Oval.
Highlighting the importance of day five, Vaughan told BBC’s Test Match Special that it will “decide the series”.
“If England win they’ll win at The Oval, whatever team Australia pick. Australia will be totally gone in terms of energy. If Australia get away with it – and they’ll need some weather to help – then the momentum and energy will be back in Australia’s legs,...

New Delhi, July 18 (Ians) Moeen Ali has called Michael Vaughan to take an active role in English cricket’s battle against racism as he opened up publicly for the first time on a controversial tweet from the former captain that suggested the England all-rounder should inquire whether young Muslims are terrorists to enhance societal safety.
In 2017, Adil Ray asked Vaughan on Twitter whether he expected Moeen to go around asking Muslims he didn’t know whether they knew terrorists in between matches. To whichVaughan replied yes, if it helps “our kids’ future and environment become a safer place”.
In a documentary named ‘Is Cricket Racist?’, when Moeen was asked by Ray what he thought of Vaughan’s tweets from 2017, the all-rounder described Vaughan’s views as “very silly and dumb”, while insisting that cricket needs people like him to step up in the fight against racism.

A majority of The Beatles’ songs were relatively short because that’s what fits better for radio play. Besides ‘Hey Jude’, most of their hits were three or four minutes. In one of his more experimental modes, Paul McCartney developed a 15-minute song that he got The Beatles to play with him. It’s still never been released, but the former Beatle said it could see the light someday.

London, June 4 (Ians) Former England captain Michael Vaughan has advised Australia to follow Ireland’s move of attacking left-arm spinner Jack Leach and implement the same in the upcoming Ashes series.
Leach had a good start to England’s home summer by picking 3/35 in the first innings of a one-off Test against Ireland at Lord’s. But he was taken for 90 runs in the second innings while picking one scalp, as Ireland made 326/9, though England chased down 11 in the first four balls of their second innings.
“My advice to Australia would be to take a breath, and stick to bowling your best ball, which is at the top of off stump, or just outside. Hour after hour. It is almost like T20 cricket: ask England to play a big shot to your best ball. You know they want to score, so stay ultra-negative and disciplined and plug the gaps where they usually get their runs.

London, May 28 (Ians) Former captain Michael Vaughan has suggested that if Zak Crawley continues to fail as a Test opener for England, then skipper Ben Stokes should open the batting in the first Ashes Test at Edgbaston against Australia.
England start their home summer with a one-off Test against Ireland at the Lord’s from June 1, followed by the Ashes starting from June 16. Crawley, 25, saw an early high in Test cricket through a fantastic 267 against Pakistan at the Ageas Bowl in 2020.
But overall, the right-hander has not set the Test cricket stage on fire despite continued backing from Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum, averaging just 27.60 across 33 matches. Moreover, since Stokes took over as Test skipper, Crawley has averaged just 25.86 in 12 matches.
“I think Zak Crawley needs a score and he should be given licence to step back from the general batting free-for-all to be a bit selfish. He does...

New Delhi, May 28 (Ians) Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan heaped praise on Hardik Pandya’s leadership skill for Gujarat Titans and said that the all-rounder has that midas touch to become an outstanding white-ball captain, tipping the all-rounder to become the India skipper in shorter formats of the game in the future.
Since taking over the captaincy role for Gujarat Titans, Hardik has been a revelation. He led the new franchise to the Ipl title in their maiden campaign last year and now has taken to the final of Ipl 2023, where his side will face Csk on Sunday.
Hardik currently has a win percentage of more than 70 in the Ipl, which is even better than the legendary Csk skipper Ms Dhoni.
“Hardik Pandya is going to captain India. I can convince all of you listening to this, that he is going to captain India. I don’t know when it is going to be.

New Delhi, April 21 (Ians) Former England skipper Michael Vaughan stated that right-handed opener Prithvi Shaw cannot keep relying on his reputation and the things he’s done in the past, especially after suffering a poor start to Ipl 2023 for the Delhi Capitals.

Paramount+’s Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies episode three introduces a new character to the mix. Hazel (Shanel Bailey) is an intelligent, introverted Black teenager who doesn’t fit in after transferring to Rydell. She’s an academic whiz who’s set her sights on attending college. However, she’ll first have to survive Rydell High School to do so.
Hazel breaks out in song to share her feelings, describing the promise of greener grass and cleaner streets – a promise that thus far hasn’t been kept. Still, she keeps her focus on the stars and realizes that despite all the changes, the sky remains constant.
“The stars, they still shine. Orion says hi. Everything’s changed, but I’ve got the same sky,” belts out Hazel.

The Beatles‘ “Michelle” isn’t one of the Fab Four’s more memorable tunes, but it and its inspiration will always be in Paul McCartney‘s memory. He claims the song came about because he used to sing faux French songs at parties just to look cool.
The Beatles | Reporters Associes/Getty Images The Beatles’ ‘Michelle’ came from one of Paul McCartney’s memories of singing faux French songs
In his book The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, Paul wrote that John Lennon, who was older and in art college, used to take him to school parties.
He remembered going to one distinct party and sitting in the corner with his black polo-neck sweater on, trying to look “interesting” to the older crowd around him. He played a French-sounding tune with his acoustic guitar and made guttural noises. Paul half hoped that someone would think he was French, possibly even “a French intellectual.

London, March 31 (Ians) Former England captain Michael Vaughan has been cleared by the Cricket Discipline Committee (CDC) of the England and Wales Cricket Board (Ecb) over the alleged use of racist language towards a group of Asian-origin players ahead of a match for Yorkshire in 2009.
Vaughan, the 2005 Ashes-winning captain was alleged to have said “too many of you lot, we need to have a word about that”, while referring to a group of four players of South Asian ethnicity in Yorkshire, including Azeem Rafiq, who said in 2020 that he had been a victim of racial harassment and bullying during his time at the club.
In an 82-page verdict, the CDC panel said that the Ecb’s contention that Vaughan’s comment towards the four Yorkshire players of Asian heritage before a T20 fixture at Trent Bridge had not been proven “on the balance of probabilities”.

Paul McCartney took a week to decide whether or not he wanted to join The Quarry Men, later The Beatles. He wasn’t sure he wanted to be in a band yet or specifically that group. Thankfully, he joined in the end.

Paul first saw The Quarry Men perform at the Woolton Village Fête at St Peter’s Church on a hot July day in 1957. His friend Ivan Vaughan had invited him to see the band perform. In The Beatles Anthology, Paul remembered that he landed eyes on John immediately as he came to the church’s field. The frontman seemed “cool,” wearing his checkered shirt and playing a guitar “guaranteed not to crack.”
John was the only interesting thing about The Quarry Men. They played The Del-Vikings’ “Come Go With Me.

Scott Mills has revealed that he had to cancel a holiday after being locked in his electric car for five hours.
The BBC Radio 2 DJ shared the unfortunate anecdote with listeners during Monday’s (27 February) instalment of his radio show.
Mills had set off on Friday, with his fiancé, Sam Vaughan, intending to spend the weekend together in Amsterdam.
However, a flat car battery meant that Mills and Vaughan were stuck inside his car near the BBC’s Wogan House studios.
“I’ve had quite the weekend,” he said. “I said goodbye to you on Friday. Me and Sam agreed to head to the airport in my electric car at 4pm. Flight is at 8pm.
“Get in the car. Car doesn’t start. In fact, nothing works. I go to get out of the car. I can’t get out. Sam tries his door. Nothing. Also cannot leave the car.

Paul McCartney thought John Lennon was “ingenious” the first time he saw him performing with The Quarry Men. There was something about John that Paul instantly connected with, and they became bandmates soon after.

In The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, Paul wrote that he’d seen John around Liverpool before they officially met in 1957. Paul said he thought John looked cool, but he doesn’t know if they’d have started talking to each other.

Paul McCartney says it’s still a mystery to him that The Beatles formed. He doesn’t understand how four singer-songwriters found each other and started one of the most famous rock ‘n’ roll bands in music history. It’s pretty unbelievable.
The Beatles | Bettmann/Getty Images Paul McCartney doesn’t understand how The Beatles formed
Apparently, Paul would consider The Beatles’ formation one of the world’s greatest mysteries. In The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, Paul explained that he still doesn’t understand how it even happened.
When he’s back in Liverpool, he does a tour to see The Beatles’ old stomping grounds. It makes Paul wonder about “the chances of The Beatles getting together.”
He wrote, “We were four guys who lived in this city in the north of England, but we didn’t know each other. Then, by chance, we did get to know each other.

Hobart, Oct 4 (Ians) Former Australia Test captain Tim Paine is set for Sheffield Shield return with the wicketkeeper-batter confirmed to play for Tasmania in their fixture against Queensland on October 6.
This will be the 37-year-old Paine’s maiden first-class outing in 18 months. A report in cricket.com.au said on Tuesday that while the player “was not offered a state contract by Tasmania for the 2022/23 season after walking away from the game last summer, he will line up for the Tigers against Queensland at the Allan Border Field (in Brisbane) on Thursday”.
The report added that Paine will be the wicketkeeper as Matthew Wade is with the Australia squad for the T20 World Cup, while other wicket-keeping options, Ben McDermott and Jake Doran, will play as batters.
“He (Paine) has been training with us the last couple of months,” Tasmania coach Jeff Vaughan was quoted as saying in the report.

Brisbane, Sep 8 (Ians) An Australian bowler who has modelled his action on India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has landed a full-time contract for Big Bash 12 as he has been picked up by the Hobart Hurricanes.
Paddy Dooley, who came in as a Covid replacement player for Brisbane Heat, impressed former greats Michael Hussey and Michael Vaughan when he was thrust into the limelight last summer after a dozen Heat players were struck down with the virus.
The 25-year-old spinner made an immediate impression on his debut against the Hurricanes at the Gabba in January, taking the new ball and conceding just three runs from the opening over.
He didn’t take a wicket but went for just 25 runs from his four overs, with his unique ‘windmill’ action leaving Hussey and Vaughan mystified as to what he was bowling despite the benefit of numerous television replays, according to a report on www.

Showrunner/executive producer/writer Melissa James Gibson and cast members Michelle Dockery, Rupert Friend, Sienna Miller, Naomi Scott and Josette Simon recently sat down with Edith Bowman for a 2022 Emmys FYC panel during which they expounded on the importance of the show.
