Jamila Wenske was born 7 March 1975 in Bad Saarow and grew up in Berlin.
After she had graduated 2005 at the German film school HFF "Konrad Wolf" in Babelsberg she studied in the German-French Atelier Network for European Producers at Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg and at La Femis in Paris. In 2005 she won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale with her short film "Jam Session". Jamila has been the production manager for large feature films, including Hans-Christian Schmid's international co-production "Storm", which premiered in competition at the Berlinale in 2009 or Geraldine Bajard's "La Lisiere" ("The Edge") which had its world premiere in Locarno 2010.
In October 2010 she founded One Two Films with producer Sol Bondy and entrepreneur Christoph Lange in Berlin and Bremen.
Within the first three years, One Two Films has produced four feature films, amongst them the international co-productions "Youth", which premiered at the 2013 Berlinale, and was sold to several territories, as well as "I Am Here", a co-production with Zentropa starring Kim Basinger.
Jamila was recently selected for the producers program ACE - ateliers du cinéma européen.
