Warning: contains spoilers for Ghosts series five, episode five “Carpe Diem”.
It couldn’t be a joke. That was one rule laid down by the Ghosts creators when it came to choosing a first name for Willbond’s character. Until series five, the WWII ghost had been known only as The Captain – a mystery seized upon by fans of the show.

Twenty seven years, umpteen light years, several different realities and a curry monster later, and Red Dwarf is now officially the second longest running sci-fi series of all time (it'd be first if it weren't for that pesky Doctor).
But though the Dwarf is still with us, fans have been left adrift in space for the time being – it's been three years since the show's triumphant return to form with 2012's Series X, and it'll likely be another year before series 11 hits Dave.
Making it, therefore, as good a time as any for Digital Spy to decide definitely how those ten series stack up against each other, and rank them from truly worst to glorious best. Disagree? Let us know below...

Pre-credit sequence. I already miss Jenn. Sigh. No matter what Mike tried to say at Tribal, Dan doesn't believe he's at the bottom of his alliance, insisting once again that beneath his seemingly passive game lurk schemes. Still waters, as we say, run Dan. Taking a break from brow-beating her about her stupidity, Dan is feigning sympathy toward Shirin, who feels like she was verbally assaulted by Will in the previous episode. She says she isn't a crier, but she has a Pavlov's Dog response to men attacking her, a thought that makes Shirin cry again. "All this drama makes Will an excellent person to take to the end," Shirin also laments to us. Putting on the hangdog of hangdoggiest expressions, Dan tells Shirin that he's sorry about what went down at Tribal. Do we believe a word out of Dan's mouth? Well, let's see what he tells the camera.

Blue have described their Go Mad in Ibiza ITV2 show as "all about fun [and] banter".
Duncan James said fans can expect to see the "band in a different light" during the show.
James said: "They'll get to see just how close mates us Blue boys are. It's all about fun, banter and seeing the band in a different light."
The show, which sees the band attempt to run a bar, saw Blue faced with challenges including flamboyant PRs, demanding customers and irritating members of staff.
What the band didn't know is that all these people were played by actors.
Antony Costa said: "They fooled us all, they were too good. Jc [the PR representative] and Eggy [the barman] were great people and gave Hollywood worthy performances. They deserve movie roles with how good they were."
James added: "We got to work with a brilliant team and it was an absolute pleasure to get to know them all.

And while we all saw Frankie Bridge's incredible paso, Donny Osmond's phobia of scores under 5 and Jennifer Gibney hanging up her dancing shoes, here's some things you didn't see on BBC One...
1. Wardrobe issues
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman looked absolutely spiffing in their garb on both shows. However, comfortable they were not. Before Strictly went live on Saturday, they both walked out to say hello and wish everyone luck. Well, we say walked. Clauds hobbled erratically all over the dancefloor, tugging at her behind at least 10 times and declaring to the whole of the studio that her (several pairs of) Spanx were chaffing up a storm.

We're standing in Wembley Arena, and a certain young woman called Chloe Jasmine is dressed up to the nines, hiding behind us and rustling in her bag for a jar of peanut butter. Yep, it must be time for Boot Camp at The X Factor.
On a hot, sunny day in August, Digital Spy popped down to Wembley - just before the Girls and the Groups took to the stage, in front of 6,000 people, to face the dreaded Six Chair Challenge. And, of course, all is not well.
"My voice is really sore today," 23-year-old Teeside girl Kerrianne Covell told us worriedly. "I think it's to do with the air con in the room." But she's not blue for long, soon showing off her 'Carpe Diem' tattoo and deciding: "I'm sure adrenaline will get me through it."
The thing is, Kerrianne reckons this is her year. "I auditioned when I...

It will also be the second consecutive episode directed by Kill List filmmaker Ben Wheatley, following Saturday's series opener 'Deep Breath'.
The episode's official synopsis reads: "A Dalek fleet surrounds a lone rebel ship, and only the Doctor can help them now... with the Doctor facing his greatest enemy, he needs Clara by his side.
"Confronted with a decision that could change the Daleks forever, he is forced to examine his conscience. Will he find the answer to the question, 'Am I a good man?'"
Luther actor Michael Smiley and Fresh Meat star Zawe Ashton are among the guest cast for 'Into the Dalek'.

When we last left Claire, she was in the care of men who think entrapping would-be assassins and giving them access to your health care is a fine idea. It’s basically the world’s slowest game of Russian Roulette. I dub thee the Scottish Gambit! And now I keep thinking about if Marvel’s Gambit had an 18th-century Scottish twin and…I need a moment. …. Okay! Let’s see what shenanigans the gang is up to this week in “The Way Out.” ********************** We open on Platform 9¾ as Frank is about to ship Claire off to Hogwarts for another year. Wait, no. Frank is shipping Claire off the front lines and he is not happy about it. Not that it matters because what enemy could even shoot straight while looking at Mrs. Randall is her stunning army uniform? Seriously, when is military chic coming back into fashion, Ms. Wintour? But fashionable attire as armor aside,...

The newest story surrounding Ghostbusters 3 is an interesting one as it has Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) directing, but not the current script, but intead a completely new one from scratch, this one focusing on a female group of ghostbusters. There is no deal yet, but Feig is said to be interested and even tweeted recently, "Interesting how making a movie with men in the lead roles is normal but making a movie with women in the lead roles is a 'gimmick.'" Far from a commitment, but definitely showing a sign of interest. Considering Feig is again working with Melissa McCarthy on Spy, I think it goes without saying she'd be a top choice for the film should it come to pass and a few other great possibilities could include Rose Byrne, Emily Blunt and I'd love to see "SNL"'s Kate McKinnon get a movie role such as this.

Happy 50th issue!
There’s nothing really special about it, but I’m sad the Super Bowl is abandoning roman numerals, maybe because “Super Bowl L” looked like Super BowlL on a t-shirt. Then the next one would be Superbowl Li or Super BowlLl. Seemed like a good time to bring that up.
This week: The site dropped a bunch of Avengers 2 information and Man of Steel 2/Justice League Zero: Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice erects a Superman statue.
Over the past fifty installments of this column, I’ve tried to blur the line between speculation and rumor reporting under the assumption that it’s just as fun to think about all the possible outcomes of a superhero movie before we get to see it, especially in this era where we’re being goaded into wild speculation by movies stuffed with easter eggs and post credits scenes. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will unite once again to do battle with a series of weird and wonderful monsters. Though the series has been on air since 1993, this new incarnation will be a big budget reboot from the team behind Twilight, The Hunger Games and Divergent.
null
But what became of the original (and best!) Power Rangers cast we worshipped in the early '90s? Digital Spy finds out what happened to the all-action sextet below.
David Yost (Blue Ranger/Billy Cranston)
David Yost landed the role of Blue Ranger Billy Cranston just three months after moving to California in 1993. In an intriguing piece of trivia, his character was named after Bryan Cranston, who at the time was doing voice work for Power Rangers producer Haim Saban.
Yost appeared in more than 200 episodes of Power Rangers, making him the only Ranger to appear in every episode of the original series.

Lee Ryan has deleted his Twitter account. The 'All Rise' singer took to the official Blue page to inform followers he would be shutting down his personal account, @LeeRyanMusic, and that they could keep up-to-date with him from the account he shares with bandmates Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webb. He wrote: ''Life is such a beautiful thing, too good to waste. Follow me & Blue here as I'm closing my @LeeRyanMusic account // Lee (sic)'' The reflective tweet comes in the wake of Lee's apology in which he admitted to receiving a ''wake-up call'' following his arrest for drink driving and...

Lee Ryan has reportedly delayed going to rehab in order to perform at an upcoming gig. The Blue singer promised fans he'd seek help for alcohol abuse and depression after being arrested on suspicion of drink-driving at the weekend, but he's now postponed his treatment for a concert with his bandmates in Moldova. The 'One Love' singers have been booked to perform at an awards ceremony on Thursday (17.04.14) in the Moldovan capital of Chișinău, and Lee doesn't want to let his fans in the country down, according to The Sun newspaper. However, the 30-year-old star and his bandmates Duncan James, Anthony...

Jodi Albert has responded to Natasha Hamilton's criticism about The Big Reunion staging a boyband-only tour.
Boybands including 5ive, Blue, 911, A1, 3T, 5th Story and Damage will embark on a 13-date tour across the UK in October.
Big Reunion Jodi Albert's blog: Skipping rehearsals, Kavana & tattoos
Hamilton accused the tour organisers of gender inequality, and said that she felt for the girl groups on this year's series - Eternal and Girl Thing.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Albert said: "I'll just leave her at it. She can do whatever she wants. I'm ok."
The Girl Thing singer added: "The original plan was to have a boyband tour, see how well that does, and then they'd put on a girlband tour, but it's a business decision at the end of the day.
"Boybands always do sell more. I completely get it, it makes sense. If there's public demand for [a girlband tour], they'll put one on.

Big Reunion boybands 5ive and Blue have backed the idea of a girlband tour.
The groups are part of the boyband-only arena tour, appearing on the bill with 911, Damage, 5th Story, 3T and A1 - but there's no space on the bill for Eternal, Girl Thing, or any of the women from the previous series.
Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton has criticised the lack of equality, complaining that the ladies of this year's show "don't even get a look-in".
Blue's Simon Webbe told Digital Spy: "I think the girls deserve their own tour. I don't see why they shouldn't get together and see what they can do."
His bandmate Lee Ryan added: "I would hope the girls want to get together and do it. If they do I'll come on that tour!

5ive have hit back at Nick Lachey after he called their group the worst boyband of all time.
The 98 Degrees singer initially called his former pop rivals "the worst boyband of the '90s", prompting 5ive's Abz to say that Lachey's group "sucked ass".
Lachey later 'apologised' and clarified his comments, adding: "When asked who the worst band of the '90s was I said 5ive and that's absolutely not true.
"5ive is actually the worst boyband of all time."
5ive's Sean Conlon told Digital Spy in response: "I know that Scott and Abz have had a bit of a to-do with him but my response to Nick is this.
"I'm 33 this year, I've got a kid. I was 16, 17 years of age the first time around in the '90s, I'm kind of over it. He should be as well! Grow up a little bit, relax, take a chill pill.

The Big Reunion is on tour again, but this time it's a lads only affair, with 5ive, Blue, 911, Damage, 5th Story, 3T and A1 heading to an arena near you in October.
Digital Spy got on the phone with 5ive's Sean Conlon and Scott Robinson, and Anthony Costa, Simon Webbe and Lee Ryan of Blue, and quizzed them all about it.
"On the first tour there was a little bit of healthy competition, a little bit of banter. Who's going to play where... who's going to open, who's going to close," Conlon said when asked if there had been a running order squabble fest.
"But we never expected to play arenas again, so this is just a bonus really. I think nobody's bothered anymore, we just want to get on tour, have some fun and just have a great laugh.

Celebrity Big Brother star Lee Ryan has admitted that he often speaks before he thinks.
The singer was joined by his Blue bandmates on ITV's This Morning today (January 29), where he said that he was embarrassed to watch back his love triangle with Casey Batchelor and Jasmine Waltz.
He said: "It's hard to watch... but I did have these genuine feelings for Jasmine and with Casey I just wanted to be her mate. I'd just never met a girl like that, we had so much banter that I got on really well with."
He continued: "A lot of things get me into trouble... I don't think before I speak and I am the first to put my hands up to say that. I literally do go by my emotions, but the way I felt about Jasmine, it wasn't made up. We had this connection with each other.

Blue singer Duncan James has hit out against the "absolutely horrible" and "malicious" death threats made to bandmate Lee Ryan following his Celebrity Big Brother appearance.
Ryan claimed that he had been repeatedly threatened since his eviction on Sunday (January 26) over his treatment of house love interests Jasmine Waltz and Casey Batchelor.
James has now taken to Ryan's defence, stating that his friend is "sincerely sorry" and imploring people to "remember that this was [just] reality TV".
"It has been intense for him since he has left the house," James wrote in his Metro column. "We are very sad to have to address the death threats that Lee has been receiving - it is absolutely horrible to see such nasty threats being sent to our best friend.
"For some people sending such abuse, they may not mean what they are saying, but it's very serious when you are talking about somebody's well-being.

We really would not like to be Lee Ryan right now. The Blue singer has angered plenty of people with his treatment of Celebrity Big Brother love interests Jasmine Waltz and Casey Batchelor, and drove Twitter into meltdown when he essentially shrugged off the issue upon his eviction at the weekend.
