Ben-Nikolasi Miller
Ben-Nikolasi "Niko" Miller is an American actor best known for his role as Malaki in the Nile series. His father is from east Tennessee and his mother is of Tongan descent. Famous relatives include The Jets band, Brooke Burke-Charvet, Tony Finau, Allen Finau and Jabari Parker. Niko studied vocals and diction with professional opera singer Michelle Fratus at the Knoxville Children's Theatre. He also studied musical theater at The Flying Anvil Theatre with Christopher Freeman and professional actress Aleah Vassell. In 2018, he was an extra in Comedy Barn's Chicken Frizzle Restaurant commercial.
Niko performs traditional Polynesian fire dances with a Hawaiian show called Blue Hawaii Entertainment. Greg "Mr. G" Carney coached Niko in hip hop dance, too.
Under the direction of Jason Overall and EJ Choi, he is a fall 2019 candidate for the White Ribbon level in the Royal School of Church Music program through St. John's Episcopal Treble Choir of Knoxville. This choral experience inspired Niko's current interest in studying latin with his older brother. Niko is finishing his first year playing the guitar with teachers Jake Smith (of Jubal band) and Max Horsewood. Knoxville musician Will Carter was also a musical mentor. Additionally, Niko is privately tutored in piano, trumpet and ukulele.
Niko's other hobbies include comedy writing, yoga, gymnastics, skateboarding, rollerblading, soccer, tennis, baseball, boxing, wrestling, swimming, camping and learning about tactical warfare. He is homeschooled with his three other siblings. Niko is preparing for his first play audition. He hopes to utilize his comical talents in future film or theater projects.
