- (2017) White Boy Rick, featuring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Jason Leigh was filmed in Cleveland, Ohio and Miami Florida. Alan was offered the role of Officer Willie Volsan, one of the police officers responsible for recruiting 14 year old White Boy Rick as an undercover informant.
- (2017) Alan Bomar Jones had the pleasure of bringing Thurgood Marshall to the stage in the play Thurgood by George Stevens Jr. at The Human Race theater in Dayton, Ohio. Marshall earned an important place in American history on the basis of his work as legal counsel for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and as an associate justice of the Supreme Court-the nation's first black Supreme Court justice. Alan's version of Thurgood was hailed as one the most original and heartwarming portrayals of Marshall carefully crated under the direction of Scott Stoney.
