Nicki Aycox, who played Meg Masters on The CW series Supernatural, died Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from her sister-in-law. She was 47.
“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side. Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter, and everyone who knew her loved her,” Susan Raab Ceklosky wrote.
The Oklahoma native went public with her battle with leukemia. In March 2021, Aycox took to Instagram, saying, “I can’t believe my last [three] months. But, it makes sense now. I became very ill thinking I had covid in Jan and Feb. Well things came to a head. I ended up in a hospital diagnosed with [leukemia] I want everyone to know I’m doing incredibly well and fighting my way thru chemo.

It’s been revealed that the actress Nicki Aycox Raab, best known for playing the demon Meg Masters on Supernatural, has died at the age of 47. She was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2020 and passed away from the disease on November 16.
Aycox’s sister-in-law Susan Raab Ceklosky confirmed her passing, saying she died with her family including her husband Matt Raab by her side.

We have some very sad news to report this morning, as it has been revealed that actress Nicki Aycox has passed away at the age of 47. Exclusive: Canadian producer Pier 21 Films, set up by former eOne Television chief Laszlo Barna, is to adapt A Good Wife: Escaping The Life I Never Chose, the story of a teen bride being forced to move to Canada, into a television series.
The company has optioned A Good Wife: Escaping The Life I Never Chose, written by Samra Zafar with Meg Masters and published by HarpersCollins Canada in March.
The book tells Zafar’s story; at sixteen, she had big dreams. She was going to go to university and forge her own path. Then, with almost no warning, those dreams were snatched away when she was suddenly married to a stranger at seventeen and had to leave behind her family in Pakistan and move to Canada. Her new husband and his family vowed that the marriage and the move would be a fulfillment of her dream, not a betrayal of it.
