Landis Stokes, a versatile Independent Filmmaker, Director of Photography, and Camera Operator, brings a wealth of experience from his work on major networks like NBC, Spike TV, PBS, and The WB. Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he cultivated his artistic skills at the Baltimore School of the Arts, delving into classical visual arts. Landis found enthusiasm for storytelling at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. His passion for film led him to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts: School of Film.
Landis made his international directorial debut with the 2015 Japanese language film "American Hikikomori," a critically acclaimed work that shone at multiple film festivals, earning numerous awards.
His latest short film, Morning Steep, premiered at the 2024 Pan African Film Festival.
